  • Patent number: 10779292
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for scheduling packets belonging to a plurality of data flow categories in a multi-access telecommunication system sharing a plurality of transmission resources. The method comprises at each transmission time interval, selecting, by a planner (CT, CF) a resource allocation plan and allocating the transmission resources to the data flows in accordance with the selected resource allocation plan. This selection is made by querying a look-up table (LUT) the content of which results from the implementation of a reinforcement learning and which makes it possible to identify, from the current state of the multi-access telecommunication system (s[t)]), the resource allocation plan to be selected, this plan being optimum to fulfil heterogeneous needs in terms of quality of service.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and computer-readable medium at a transmitting network device or a target network device in a listen-before-talk (LBT) session that employ a spatial LBT procedure is disclosed. The spatial LBT procedure takes into account multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) configuration information in measuring an effective interference. Accordingly, the spatial LBT procedure enables the transmitting network device or the target network device to more accurately measure an interference and make a more accurate decision on whether a channel is clear, and thus improves the system-wide performance. Also, the spatial LBT procedure allows the transmitting network device or the target/receiving network device to adaptively adjust the LBT power detection threshold when the MIMO configuration is not available.

Abstract: A Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receiver demodulates code shift keying (CSK) data utilizing correlations with combinational pseudo-random noise (PRN) codes generated for different bit positions. The GNSS receiver receives a signal including a PRN code modulated by CSK to represent a symbol (i.e., CSK modulated symbol). The GNSS receiver maintains a plurality of receiver codes, each representing a different shift in chips to the PRN code. The GNSS receiver performs a chip-by-chip linear combination of a group of receiver codes for each bit position of the CSK modulated symbol. The GNSS receiver correlates the received signal with each combinational PRN code to produce a binary value that is the CSK modulated symbol.

Abstract: A technique is provided for estimating time of arrival of a signal transmitted as a pulse and received as a sum of pulses. The received signal is filtered with a novel filter that lowers the early side lobes of the received signal to noise level. A first energy rise point is identified at a point of the main lobe of the filtered received signal, at which the energy is higher than the noise by a predetermined level. Starting from the identification of the first energy rise points, the time of arrival is estimated via curve matching, in which the shape of the filtered received signal is matched to the shape of a reference curve composed by a sum of one or more reference curves that are shifted both in time and in energy. The reference curves are found by applying to the transmitted signal the same filter applied to the received signal.

When the advanced receiver feature is enabled, the UE compares the signal quality metric to a second threshold indicating lower signal quality than the first threshold. • Patent number: 10158432
Abstract: A radio frequency (RF) signal separation and suppression system includes an input that couples in a radio frequency signal comprising desired and undesired radio frequency signals. The RF signal separation and suppression system also includes a reproduction generator connected to the input. The reproduction generator produces a reproduction from the radio frequency signal of the undesired signal at an output. The RF signal separation and suppression system also includes an electrical subtractor having a first input that is electrically connected to the output of the reproduction generator and a second input that is electrically connected to the input of the radio frequency signal separation system. An output of the subtractor generates an output radio frequency signal comprising the desired radio frequency signal and a suppressed undesired radio frequency signal.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a symbol synchronization method and apparatus. By means of the symbol synchronization method and apparatus, a timing location is adjusted outside an adaptive loop. In addition, the adaptive loop proceeds to according to an original function of the adaptive loop. That is, the timing location is stabilized to an initial symbol-synchronization location, and the timing location is then further corrected and adjusted. Therefore, impact of an error of a timing location on symbol synchronization is eliminated by correcting the timing location, and positioning accuracy of a symbol-synchronization location is improved.

Abstract: Techniques for spread spectrum wireless over non-contiguous channels are described. In at least some embodiments, a set of channels is selected for wireless communication, with at least some of the channels being non-contiguous (e.g., non-adjacent) from one another. A spreading sequence is selected, such as based on attributes of a selected set of channels. Communication data that is to be transmitted over the set of channels is combined with the spreading sequence to generate a spread spectrum signal. The spread spectrum signal is then divided into multiple sub-signals for transmission over the set of channels.
