The control circuitry generates for display a list including the plurality of products. The control circuitry determines whether a product in the list is associated with a coupon and/or a preferred vendor. The control circuitry visually distinguishes the product from other products in the list in response to determining that the product is associated with a coupon and/or a preferred vendor.

Abstract: A web browser extension identifies graphic objects from images or video being presented by a web browser. Webpages related to the graphic objects are identified. Web links that facilitate navigation to the webpages are embedded over an area of the image corresponding to the identified graphic image. Where the graphic objects are identified within video, the web links are progressively embedded within graphic object boundaries of the graphic object as the graphic objects move locations during progression of the video. In this way, a user is able to interact with graphic objects of images and video to navigate to webpages related to the graphic objects. Some implementations provide a webpage redirect command at a stop point of the video so that the user can interact with graphic objects while the video is playing and without interrupting the video.

Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for providing commercial (advertisement) detection in digital media environments. A media stream, for example, a video stream of television shows or movies, can be analyzed either in advance or in realtime, to determine commercial segments or blocks within the media stream, and to distinguish them from (non-commercial) content segments or blocks. In accordance with an embodiment, frame features, black spaces, cue points, or other segment or block information can be used to improve the accuracy and precision with which commercials are identified. Particular commercials can be identified, together with information as to the location of those commercials within the media stream. In accordance with an embodiment, the media streams can be used within an on-demand cloud-based media environment, which allows a user to select within a plurality of media channels, or to locate or skip particular commercials.

Abstract: The invention relates, in various aspects, to systems and methods for linking content stored on a computer network with content broadcast over a television network. The system includes a database, a trigger mechanism, a communications interface, and a packet generator. The database stores tokens representative of links to the stored content and delivery information representative of at least a duration for delivering the token. The trigger mechanism indicates an instruction to deliver a token over the television network, generating a signal indicating a respective one of the stored tokens and a time for starting the delivery of the respective token. The communications interface has a channel in communication with a television set top box device for transferring the respective token to the television set top box device. The packet generator generates packets within a stream of television content to be broadcast over the television network.

Abstract: The current invention is a method and system for tracking an RFID tag within a defined 3D space and can be used to identify objects within a live performance and create hotspots with respect to the objects, which allows viewers the ability to select objects that are associated with one of the hotspots, and transmits their interest in the selected object to one or more users. Preferably, the system operates such that hotspots can be created for previously created video, newly created video media, as well as live broadcasts.
