Abstract: Data may be stored by receiving the data to be stored, determining whether the data is regulated in a jurisdiction, and, responsive to the determination, selecting between a regulated storage scheme, requiring that the data be stored and/or processed in the jurisdiction in accordance with one or more laws pertaining to the jurisdiction, and an unregulated storage scheme, in which the data is not required to be stored in the jurisdiction and/or is not required to be stored in accordance with the one or more laws. Further, the regulated storage scheme may be followed by initiating storage of the data in the jurisdiction in accordance with the one or more laws.

Abstract: A method for securely presenting transaction card data of a transaction card includes receiving, by a server, a pairing request to pair the transaction card with a user device. Based on the pairing request, the transaction card is paired with the user device by way of a pairing identifier. The server receives, from the user device, a data presentation request to present the transaction card data on the user device. In response to the data presentation request, the server validates the pairing between the user device and the transaction card based on the pairing identifier. The server communicates, to the user device, the transaction card data based on the validation of the pairing between the user device and the transaction card. The communicated transaction card data is presented on a user interface rendered on the user device.

The system is configured to transact a digital token normally carried on a blockchain leger in an off-ledger condition. The digital token is embedded with a media content. A mobile computing device having a representation of a digital wallet is configured to detect the digital token, decode the digital token and is transfer the digital token back to the blockchain ledger. When validated by the blockchain ledger, the digital token is transacted to a digital wallet on the blockchain ledger.

Abstract: Workload Images comprising one or more artifacts are managed in a decentralized and centralized manner. Local management comprises breaking any image/artifact into blocks, encrypting each block with a key known and available only to the local processing environment, and uniquely signing each encrypted block. Published versions of the images/artifacts are retained remotely in a cloud/server in encrypted and signed block format. When retrieval, modification, addition, deletion, and deployment of any given image/artifact is needed, the target device/server that is to receive the image/artifact provides a listing of encrypted blocks with the corresponding signatures that are already present on that device/server and a centralized cloud/server schedules and manages download of just those encrypted blocks that are missing to the target device/server.

The device is further configured to determine a security level associated with the target data storage device. The device is further configured to determine a protection level range based on the determined security level and to identify one or more security controls within the protection level range. The method, implemented by a communications device comprising a primary power supply, a secondary power supply, and a control apparatus, includes: obtaining a current load rate of the primary power supply and a load power of the secondary power supply; determining, based on the obtained current load rate and the load power, a target output voltage of the primary power supply and a target input voltage of the secondary power supply that satisfy an energy efficiency requirement of the communications device, wherein energy efficiency of the communications device is related to the energy efficiency of the primary power supply and the energy efficiency of the secondary power supply; and controlling the primary power supply to output the target output voltage, and controlling an input voltage of the secondary power supply to be the target input voltage.

Abstract: Viewing policies are received for a media program being offered via linear programming. The viewing policies are transformed to a linear prioritized list of audiences and respective actions to perform on a per user basis for presentation via the live linear programming. The actions analyzed to determine a base action associated with sending a base content stream for the media program. An audience associated with the base content stream and previous audiences associated with previous actions that have a higher priority in the linear prioritized list than the content stream audience are selected. An audience definition for the media program is generated defining restrictions based on the base audience and the previous audiences. The audience definition is used to determine whether users may view the media program based on characteristics of the users before the media program is available via the live linear programming.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for erasing content from a surface while capturing the content that is being erased for recreation in a digital format. The apparatus may include a base with an erasing element, and an imaging device disposed about a center of the base with an effective field of view above a top of the base. The apparatus may include an upper body with a first reflective surface reflecting an area around the base into the imaging device's field of view. The apparatus may include a second reflective surface at the top of the base to move the reflection of the area around the base from a border towards a center of the first reflective surface. The apparatus may include a set of supports that elevate the first reflective surface over the imaging device, and at least one sensor to track movements of the apparatus.

The generating of the merged policy includes: merging conditions and rules of policies including the first conditions and rules to generate the merged policy based on a predetermined hierarchy of the policies. Rules and conditions of the merged policy are multi-dimensional to include customer, POP device, and provider dimensions; and generating a configuration file including conditions or condition based parameters. The method further includes: presenting an offer for the content to the customer via the POP device; receiving an acceptance of the offer from the POP device; and enforcing the merged policy according to the configuration file.

The corporate directory can provide access to user accounts for all members of the organization to all content items in the organization directory on the respective file systems of the members' client devices. Members can reach any content item at the same path as other members relative to the organization directory root on their respective client device. In some embodiments novel access permissions are granted to maintain path consistency.

Abstract: A method and system is provided for efficient interruptible transfer of protected media assets. The method of asset transfer uses a segmented asset transfer paradigm which makes possible the implementation of such features as “watch as you transfer” and “offsetted resumption of interrupted transfers”. Implementation strategies of these features with support for segmented and contiguous media assets are also disclosed.

Abstract: A method, system, mobile device, apparatus and computer program product are provided for accurately determining whether one or more rights objects associated with a mobile device are valid. In particular, a secure time source (e.g., DRM clock or time) may be maintained by the mobile device and used to check the validity of the one or more rights objects. In order to ensure that the secure time source or clock remains accurate, the mobile device may update the secure time source by regularly requesting and receiving the DVB-H network time from a DVB-H network entity. Because the DVB-H network time is secure, accurate and readily accessible, it provides an ideal tool for correcting possible drift in the mobile device's secure time source.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method for determining a status of a call connection is provided. Metadata associated with a party to a call is obtained upon commencement of the call. An identification of the party and whether a security certificate is present is determined from the metadata. A status of unsecure is assigned to a connection of the call when the security certificate is not present. The call connection status is provided to another party to the call via a mobile device and a selection is received from the other party via the mobile device, in response to the call connection status provided.

Abstract: Techniques for protecting digital content in a storage device from pirate and illegal use are described. According to one aspect of the techniques, a method for protecting digital content stored in a storage device from illegally accessing by a host, comprises: exchanging data between the storage device and the host to achieve a mutual authentication between the storage device and the host; disabling an encryption/decryption module in the storage device to prohibit the host from reading out the digital content decrypted by the encryption/decryption module until the authentication of the storage device to the host passes; and disabling the host to prohibit the host from reading out the digital content decrypted by the encryption/decryption module if the authentication of the host to the storage device fails. Thereby, pirate and illegal use of the digital content stored in the storage device are effectively prevented or decreased.

Abstract: Provided are a method and apparatus for acquiring data regarding a domain for the protection of digital content, and more particularly, a method and apparatus for acquiring domain information and domain-related data in which content received from an external source is converted into content that complies with a set of rules of a digital rights management (DRM) system and a license for the use of the result of the conversion is issued by receiving domain information including a domain key identifier from a domain information providing apparatus and receiving an updated domain key that is a valid domain key currently being used in a domain from a DRM object providing apparatus.

Abstract: An apparatus, method and a computer program for processing multimedia data is described, where the apparatus may include an input switch which may receive a plurality of transport stream packets corresponding to a plurality of digital multimedia data signals input thereto, and a packet identification (PID) filter unit which may selectively output a given set of TS packets to be demultiplexed from the received plurality of TS packets. A buffer and/or an external memory device may store at least some of the TS packets of the output given set. A conditional access/content protection (CA/CP) unit may read and decrypt the TS packets stored in the buffer, and may encrypt at least some of the decrypted TS packets for storage in the external memory device if the buffer becomes full, to prevent the TS packets to be stored in the external memory device from being copied.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for an iterative cryptographic block under the control of a CPU and without a fixed number of stages. In one embodiment, a first cryptographic block descrambles received information using an internal key or a preprogrammed key to form a descrambled key or descrambled data. A data feedback path stores the descrambled data as internal data and provides the internal data or the external data as data input to the first cryptographic block. A key feedback path stores the descrambled key as an internal key and provides the internal key or the preprogrammed key to a key input of the first cryptographic block. A second cryptographic block descrambles received content using a final descrambling key. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
