Using Vector Coding (epo) Patents (Class 375/E7.209)
  • Patent number: 11281645
Abstract: According to an embodiment, a data management system includes an index building unit and a searching unit. The index building unit generates a peripheral vector similar to a case example vector representing a feature vector of data to be stored, and builds index information of enabling identification of the case example vector corresponding to the generated peripheral vector. The searching unit refers to the index information in response to a search request in which a query vector representing an arbitrary feature vector is specified, identifies the case example vector corresponding to the peripheral vector that exactly matches with the query vector, and outputs a search result based on the identified case example vector.

  • Patent number: 10396872
Abstract: A relay apparatus includes: an estimation unit selects a code book number corresponding to a reception SNR range based on an estimated reception SNR value; a soft demodulation unit that performs soft demodulation on a received first signal to detect a likelihood of the received first signal; a first memory unit that stores a first quantization code book showing, for each code book number, a relationship between a quantization parameter and a likelihood quantization bit value; a quantization unit that refers the first quantization code book to obtain a relationship between a quantization parameter and a likelihood quantization bit value that corresponds to the selected code book number, and adaptively quantizes the detected likelihood by using the obtained relationship to obtain a likelihood quantization bit value; and a transmission unit that transmits, to the receiving apparatus, a second signal including the obtained likelihood quantization bit value and the selected code book number.

  • Patent number: 10362248
Abstract: A solid-state imaging device and a camera system are provided. The solid-state imaging device capable of performing an intermittent operation includes a pixel unit and a pixel signal readout unit for reading out a pixel signal from the pixel unit in units of a plurality of pixels for each column. The pixel signal readout circuit includes a plurality of comparators and a plurality of counters whose operations are controlled by outputs of the comparators. Each of the comparators includes an initializing switch for determining an operating point for each column at a start of row operation, and is configured so that an initialization signal to be applied to the initializing switch is controlled independently in parallel only a basic unit of the initialization signal used for a horizontal intermittent operation, and the initializing switch is held in an off-state at a start of non-operating row.

  • Patent number: 9635074
Abstract: Systems and methods for remotely viewing medical images on a client device having a zero-client web application with a buffering module. The zero-client web application receives an image series selection from a user and receives corresponding series details from a web server. The zero-client web application generates an off-screen image array according to the series details. The buffering module outputs image requests based on the series details to a web server. The web server is in communication with a medical image database storing images in a non-web browser compatible format (e.g., DICOM). The buffering module then populates the off-screen image array with converted medical images received from the web server. The zero-client web application further includes an on-screen image and a display module. The display module sequentially sets converted medical images of the off-screen array as the on-screen image to stream the converted medical images.

  • Patent number: 8804825
Abstract: A method for encoding pictures within a groups of pictures using prediction, where a first reference picture from a group of pictures and a second reference pictures from the subsequent group of pictures are used in predicting pictures in the group of pictures associated with the first reference picture. A plurality of anchor pictures in the group of pictures associated with the first reference picture may be predicted using both the first and second reference pictures to ensure a smooth transition between different groups of pictures within a video frame.
