Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for caller identification messaging are disclosed. According to one embodiment, a calling party uses a Caller ID Messaging Device that supplants the incoming calling line identification (ICLID) signal with a Caller ID Messaging Signal and transmits the Caller ID Messaging Signal to a destination communications address. An alternate embodiment provides that the calling party may use a conventional telephone to access a communications network, activate Caller ID Messaging Services, compose or retrieve a stored Caller ID Message of the Caller ID Messaging Signal, and transmit the Caller ID Messaging Signal to the destination communications address. The Caller ID Message and Caller ID Messaging Signal may include text, video, voice, and/or digital data.

Abstract: A system and method for communicating a message. Various aspects of the present invention may comprise determining whether a communication link between a sender's communication device and a recipient's communication device is presently available. If it is determined that a communication link between the sender's communication device and the recipient's communication device is not presently available, then the sender may be provided with an option to record a message on the sender's communication device for later automatic delivery to the recipient's communication device. A message from the sender may then be recorded on the sender's communication device for later automatic delivery to the recipient's communication device, and the recorded message may be automatically delivered to the recipient's communication device.

Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for announcing caller information to users over a television link. The method comprises receiving signalling information associated with an incoming call destined for a destination party, the signalling information comprising a portion conveying information regarding an origin of the incoming call and information regarding an identity of the destination party. The method also comprises attempting to establish a telephony link with a device associated with the destination party over a communication network in response to said receiving. The power converter has a connector that is physically and electrically coupled to a charging module through a pair of magnets and conductive rails such that the DC bus voltage is applied to the conductive rails of the module. Each charging module has a dock that physically couples to a portable electronic device and supplies a charging voltage produced from the DC bus voltage to the device. Abstract: Voicemail notification messaging for mobile communication devices is disclosed. Voicemail notification messages corresponding to voicemail messages are received through a wireless receiver of the mobile device and voicemail message header lines corresponding to them are displayed in a message list. The mobile device receives the voicemail notification messages from several different voicemail systems for consolidating voicemail message processing using a single common user interface. Preferably, the mobile device provides a graphical user interface (GUI) for the end-user with visual objects corresponding to PLAY, REWIND, FAST FORWARD, SKIP BACK, SKIP FORWARD, as examples, which provides for transparency of voicemail system-specific commands. The process authenticates a user on a device in a set of communication devices for manipulating conversation stubs. The process monitors an exchange of conversation for a triggering event on the device in a set of communication devices. Responsive to detecting the triggering event, the process generates a conversation stub that contains information relating to the topic of conversation. The conversation stub is stored in a storage device located remotely to the set of communication devices. Responsive to receiving a selection of the conversation stub, the process presents the conversation stub on a communication device selected from the set of communication devices.

Abstract: A system and method for managing telephone calls is disclosed. The system includes a central controller that receives and processes telephone calls. The identity of a caller is first determined. Based on predetermined settings designated by an end user, a call is directed to one or more telephones of the end user. Preferably, the end user's telephones ring simultaneously. The user may answer any of his/her telephones and choose from among several options of how to handle the call. If the user chooses to answer the call, the call may be transferred to that telephone and the conversation may commence.

Abstract: The present invention relates to identifying phone numbers in a text string including multiple data types and multiple number formatting types. A device such as a mobile device receives text strings from, for example, a memory, a networked content provider, another mobile device, or a keypad. A parsing engine comprises a telephone number module to analyze the text string by applying a set of parsing rules from a parsing rules database that describe telephone number characteristics. The parsing engine also comprises a non-telephone number module to identify non-telephone numbers such as an IP address, an email, a social security number, or the like. Abstract: Techniques for attaching content to a voicemail are described. Content may be attached to a voicemail by storing the content and the voicemail in a common container or envelope, embedding the content at a location within the voicemail, tagging the content with an identifier identifying the voicemail, tagging the voicemail with a tag identifying the content and a location of the content on a network, or otherwise associating the content with the voicemail. A representation of the content to be attached to the voicemail may be visually displayed on a user interface of an originating telecommunications device before attaching the content to the voicemail.

Abstract: The present invention provides methods, devices, and systems for facilitating an ad-hoc conference. More specifically, a “join-us” concept is employed that links functionality in non-real-time messaging systems with real-time ongoing state of calls information in a communications network.
