Including Drawstring-type Securing Element Patents (Class 383/72)
  • Patent number: 10407218
Abstract: The invention relates to a drawstring bag (1) made of two lateral parts (2, 3) which are connected together at the lateral edges (4) of the parts. A receiving region for a drawstring (7) is provided in the opening-side region of the drawstring bag (1), and a drawstring (7) is arranged in the receiving region. The drawstring (7) is connected to the drawstring bag (1) on one side and is freely accessible on the other side. The invention is characterized in that a locking strip (11) arranged on the drawstring (7) is provided between the region connected to the drawstring bag (1) and the freely accessible region of the drawstring (7), said locking strip coming into contact with an opening edge of the receiving region for the drawstring (7) when the locking strip has left the receiving region.

Abstract: A polyethylene plastic bag with a drawstring is shaped to allow placement and storage therein of a paint roller and paint tray in use, with a cotton drawstring at the apex of the polyethylene plastic bag which when drawn, forms an airtight seal which prevents the paint roller and paint tray, and the paint applied thereto, from drying. The polyethylene plastic bag has width of 16? inches, length of 22? inches, thickness of 2 mils, with cotton drawstring as a closure, with screened printing on the front of the bag (6?×9?) to accommodate writing thereon. The drawstring closure is pulled around the handle creating a seal, to keep the paint and roller from drying out. Once the bag is closed, the painter is able to write (in pen or marker) on the area provided on the front of the bag, to identify what product is in the tray.

Abstract: A portable and sealable waste disposal receptacle receives human waste material through an opening in an outer chamber. The waste passes through an inner chamber, which is suspended within the outer chamber, and passes through a one-way valve located at the bottom of the inner chamber into a lower chamber portion of the outer chamber. The one-way valve is fashioned from the bottom edges of the inner chamber, where a biasing strip is mounted in compression along one of the bottom edges, which causes the bottom edges of the inner chamber to be biased closed in sealing contact except when waste enters the inner chamber, the weight of which is sufficient to overcome the closing bias of the biasing strip, allowing the waste to flow into the lower chamber. Once the waste has cleared the inner chamber, the biasing member causes the bottom edges to come together in sealing contact, preventing the flow of waste back through the inner chamber.

Abstract: A trash bag includes a bag body being formed of plastic material and a tying element. The bag body includes a first bag sheet overlain with to a second bag sheet. A cavity is formed between the first and second bag sheets, and a top opening is formed along top edges of the first and second bag sheets. The tying element is impermanently integrated with the bag body. After the use of the bag body, said tying element is torn from the bag body to tie a knot around the top opening of the bag body and to seal the cavity. More specifically, the tying element includes a first tying band and a second tying band integrated with the first and second bag sheets of the bag body respectively, which forms the double-layer tying structure to enhance the tying strength of the tying element.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention relate to reusable tree cover systems and methods that may be used with live trees or artificial trees. The cover systems may be stored in a pouch placed around the lower trunk of the tree from which the cover or tree bag is withdrawn and pulled up to substantially enclose the tree for transport and/or storage. The reusable systems may be designed to facilitate removal of the cover systems from the stored/covered tree while minimizing the undesirable forces on the tree and the cover system. This may be done by providing features that facilitate removing the cover systems in an upward direction relative to the tree along the stored/covered tree. As this removal direction is the same direction used to store/cover the tree in the first place and matches the natural bending/storing direction of the tree, storing and removal are facilitated by these systems.

Abstract: The plastic bag may include flexible thermoplastic sidewalls that have a pattern imparted onto them. The wrinkle pattern may be a plurality of linear ribs formed into the sidewall that may be arranged adjacent and parallel to one another. To impart the pattern to the sidewall, a thermoplastic web used to make the sidewall may be directed between a first cylindrical roller and a second cylindrical roller, each of which may have a plurality of spaced ridges extending about their peripheries. When the web is directed between the first and second rollers, the meshing of the ridges may form ribs into the web.
