Abstract: A device is configured to perform a method that detects a trigger marker for an action corresponding to a segment of a multimedia signal. A fingerprint is generated based on the segment of the multimedia signal at a trigger time point. The generated fingerprint is stored in a database and communicated to the device. During playback of the multimedia signal, fingerprints of segments of the multimedia signal are generated and matched against fingerprints in the database. When a match is found, one or more associated actions for the segment are retrieved by the device. The trigger time point may be determined as a time point near or at the segment of the multimedia signal with the matched fingerprint. In this way, trigger markers for actions may be enabled without modifying the multimedia signal.

Abstract: A motion blur correction device includes a motion blur correction section which performs motion blur correction processing on an intended video data, and a correction intensity judgment section which instructs the motion blur correction section to cancel the execution of the motion blur correction processing when the frame rate of the video data is equal to or less than a predetermined value. As a result, motion blur correction is prevented from being automatically performed when motion blur correction is not required.

  • Patent number: 8521006
Abstract: Encoded data decoding techniques. A data decoding agent determines a data segment size for a packet that includes a header and a data segment. The data decoding agent determines a segment end location based, at least in part, on the data segment size. The data decoding agent processes subblocks of data from the data segment. The data decoding agent compares a current location to the segment end location to determine if a current subblock of data from the data segments contains the segment end location. The data decoding agent triggers an exception handler if the current subblock contains the segment end location.

Abstract: Techniques that relate to selecting content for playback are disclosed in various implementations. The techniques may include receiving, at a computing device and from a primary electronic content source, a first input signal for playback by a presentation device. The techniques may also include analyzing information that is indicative of content represented by the first input signal to determine whether the first input signal is intended for playback by the presentation device. The techniques may also include causing the presentation device to play back a second input signal from a backup electronic content source in response to determining that the first input signal is not intended for playback by the presentation device.
