Video Editing Patents (Class 386/278)
  • Patent number: 9942556
Abstract: Disclosed are various embodiments for adjusting the encoding of a video signal into a video stream based on user attention. A temporary lapse of attention by a user is predicted. The encoding of the video signal into the video stream is adjusted from an initial state to a conservation state in response to predicting the temporary lapse of attention by the user. The conservation state is configured to conserve one or more resources used for the video stream relative to the initial state.

  • Patent number: 9911215
Abstract: Systems and methods of propagating edits through a video are presented herein. Decompositions of information defining frame images of a video may be obtained. Individual decompositions may include individual sets of sinusoidal functions separated into individual frequency bands. One or more frequency bands that convey differences between an (unedited) frame image and an edited version of that frame image may be identified. A subset of the one or more frequency bands that convey motion information associated with the frame image and a subsequent frame image in the video may be identified. Using the motion information, phase information of individual sinusoidal functions of a decomposition of the edited frame image, which may be included in the subset of the one or more frequency bands, may be propagated based on the motion information.

  • Patent number: 9858965
Abstract: Various technologies described herein pertain to generating an output video loop from an input video that includes values at pixels over a time range. Respective input time intervals within the time range of the input video are determined for the pixels by performing an optimization. The optimization can be performed to assign the input time intervals at a first level of resolution, while terms of an objective function use a finer, second level of resolution. An input time interval for a particular pixel includes a per-pixel loop period of a single, contiguous loop at the particular pixel within the time range from the input video. The input time intervals can be temporally scaled based on per-pixel loop periods and an output video loop period. The output video loop is created based on the values at the pixels over the input time intervals for the pixels in the input video.

Abstract: For remote heart rate estimation, a method detects an object of interest (OOI) in each image of a video data and tracks the OOI in each image of the video data. The method identifies a region of interest (ROI) within the OOI and generates a plurality of super pixels from a plurality of pixels in each ROI. The method further generates a super-pixel time series from the plurality of super pixels in each image and removes interfering signals from the super-pixel time series. The method further models the super-pixel time series as a super-pixel model and calculates a heart beat signal from the super-pixel model. Based on at least the first message and the second message, the processing resource produces a content guide to include at least first content available to the subscriber entity for retrieval from the first service provider and second content available to the subscriber entity for retrieval from the second service provider. Via display of the content guide, a respective subscriber is able to view content available from multiple service providers.

  • Patent number: 9405501
Abstract: Methods and systems for synchronizing audio layers is disclosed. In one aspect, a method of synchronizing audio layers to form an audio composition includes receiving, from a first computing device, at an audio synchronization system, a first audio layer having a first length. The audio synchronization system identifies a portion of a second audio layer with which the received first audio layer is to be synchronized. The audio synchronization system adjusts the first length to match a second length of the identified portion of the second audio layer by altering the tempo of the first audio layer. The audio synchronization system trims a recording signal delay from a beginning portion of the first audio layer and combines the first audio layer and the second audio layer to form an audio composition. In some implementations, the second audio layer includes a reference audio layer.
