The assembly can further include a fluid permeable support disposed within the casing with a portion extending across the elongated opening, and a fluid permeable membrane disposed on the support and covering at least the portion of the support that extends across the elongated opening, so that the membrane is supported on the support and disposed across the elongated opening. The assembly can further include a tube having a first end disposed in the reservoir and a second, fluid discharge end.

Abstract: A contoured urinal assembly for enhancing comfort for a user during urine collection includes a bottle that has an angled neck to facilitate a user to insert the user's penis into the angled neck for urine collection. A handle is coupled to the bottle for gripping. A ring extends around the bottle and the ring is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to enhance comfort for the user. A saddle is coupled to the ring. The penis is positioned on the saddle to inhibit the penis from being abraded. Additionally, the saddle extends into the bottle to direct the penis into the bottle for urine collection.

Abstract: This invention is a device utilizing hydro-block venting material in various external male and female catheter configurations permitting adequate airflow into the catheter thereby permitting efficient and complete drainage of urine away from the user following urination. In two embodiments user's expelled urine is automatically detected by a sensor and drawn away from the user by a pump means to a user selected storage means as a pressure relief balloon prevents air interference with the sensor. In another embodiment gravity is utilized to draw user's expelled urine away from user to a user selected storage means. An adhesive, garment or strap attachment means are disclosed as attachment means to secure the external male and female catheter to user and prevent leakage. The external male and female catheters are engineered to also be able to be connected to and used in combination with an indwelling catheter.

A main body unit, connected to the seating unit, is mounted between the legs of the human body and has an accommodation space therein. A discharge channel is provided in the accommodation space and communicates with the disposal space to discharge the excreta in the disposal space to the outside. The body includes the gender-specific module, which is detachably provided and includes the urine disposal unit.

Abstract: The present invention includes strainers used to gather solids from voided urine. Embodiments include urinary bowl strainers, hand-held strainers and disposable hand-held urine strainers, all of which are particularly useful for gathering kidney stones passed in urine that are intended for verification of passing said kidney stones, and for laboratory analysis which may be used to guide clinical treatment to prevent recurrent kidney stone formation. Embodiments of disposable urine samplers are also disclosed. The embodiments of urine strainers and samplers disclosed herein are particularly adapted for use by female patients, though male patients may also use the devices.

The vacuum effect facilitates drawing urine from a reservoir of the container to the vacuum device through the conduit. The urine may be collected and stored in the vacuum device. A user may drain the urine collected inside the vacuum device through a drainage port. Alternatively, a user may disconnect a used vacuum device and replace it with a clean one.

The urinal is designed to be discretely used in the passenger compartment of tractor-trailer rigs, although it can be used discretely in almost any vehicle. It comprises a catheter-type receiver which attaches to plumbing thereby functioning as a urinal to receive urine from a user and directing it through the hose to a retention container. It is envisioned that the retention container would be emptied into a sanitary collection station or normal restroom when feasible. The urinal can be cleaned periodically using a provided sanitation kit with a flushing bulb and liquid cleanser that would be flushed through the system cleaning the valves, hoses, and container.

Abstract: There is a urinary transfer system and associated process that includes a urinal capable of receiving urine from a patient, urine holding container, a first conduit connected between the urinal and the urine holding container, a pump, and a second conduit connected between the urine holding container and the pump. Preferably, there is a retainer that is associated with the urinal and a removable lid associated with the urine holding container. The urinary transfer system can be powered by any type of electrical power supply and/or battery. Optimally, there is a receiver electrically connected to the pump to be able to turn the pump on and off and can preferably control the operation of the pump based on input received from a transmitter. An external male catheter can also be utilized in conjunction with the urinary transfer system.

The anti-reflex valve is configured to prevent urine from backing up out of the urine collection chamber and into the urine collection device.
