Abstract: A portable bedside commode is provided with safety features that include arm rests that independently swing or rotate out of the way, a hooking means on either side of the commode to attach it to a more stable structure such as a bed frame and legs of adjustable height so that the hooks are at the appropriate height and the height of the seat is at the appropriate height, for example at the same height as a bed so that a user of the device may more easily transfer from a prone position in bed onto the commode. Another important feature is a seat alarm that is triggered on at a threshold weight and then sounds an alarm if the user of the commode has been on it for a predetermined length of time and therefore likely in need of attention. In a preferred embodiment the commode is also collapsible for storage or transport.

Abstract: A combinative toilet chair includes left and right armrest frames, a seat frame provided between the armrest frames and configured to support a vessel, and a backrest frame provided behind the armrest frames. The seat frame and the backrest frame have connecting ends provided with retractable pins and engageably insertable into insertion portions of the armrest frames. The insertion portions at rear sides of the armrest frames are threadedly provided with fasteners for pressing against and thereby securing the seat frame. Each armrest frame has lower ends connected with telescoping legs linked to the armrest frame by elastic bands. The legs can be secured to the armrest frames or detached therefrom so as to fold against the armrest frames. When assembled, the toilet chair is stable and unlikely to disintegrate or wobble; when disassembled, the toilet chair is significantly downsized by folding the legs and stacking up the other components.

The base defines a pair of receptacles of unequal size. The seat has a peripheral rim for mounting the seat on the base or on the rim of a toilet, and a central seat member which extends below the rim. The aperture is formed near the base of the seat member and has a teardrop shape which accommodates both male and female children. The seat includes a backrest at a first end thereof, the backrest being shaped to support a child using the device. The backrest defines a predetermined angle relative to the vertical to hold the child's body in a correct position for use of the device. The seat can be used in conjunction with the base in first and second “potty” configurations, and can be located on the rim of a toilet bowl in a third configuration of the device.

The seat portion includes a cavity for receiving waste from the child. A lid portion of the potty is configured to be connectable with the seat portion to form a seal therebetween when the potty is in a closed state. A securing device is provided to prevent relative movement between the lid portion and the seat portion when the potty is in a closed state. The seal is configured such that egress of any waste contained within the cavity is inhibited irrespective of the orientation of the potty.

This liner is made by first advancing a foil tube to a first work station and forming a cross-seam and cut in the foil tube-to cut therefrom a bag having an open end. Then the open end of the bag is fitted between a pair of foil sheet.
