Abstract: An improved light emitting diode (LED) road sign plate includes a plate seat, fixed mount, light guide plate, LED lights and graphical text shield. The fixed mount is provided with grooved rail. Several LED lights are embedded into the holding tank, and the light guide plate adhered with graphical text shield is incorporated into the grooved rail. The LED light source emits rays towards the center, and the opening is sealed by the adhesive tape. After being energized, a few LED lights emit light sources for the central graphical road signs, then the light guide plate makes its uniform rays penetrate the graphical text shield for outwards irradiation and clear visualization of the graphical road signs, thus saving the electricity and extending the service life with better assembly.

Abstract: Illuminated poster frame with a frame box including a front frame, side panels and a rear panel, the frame box including a front clear panel. The top panel of the frame box has a slit to removably retain an inner frame that houses a poster. The inner frame has a front frame portion and a rear frame portion to removably retain the poster. The poster is printed on transparent of translucent material capable of transmitting light so that the entire poster is illuminated. The inside of the frame box includes a formed sheet having a plurality of recesses that each retains an amber LED. A translucent sheet placed in front of the LED holding sheet diffuses the light emanating from the LED's. A power source such as a battery supply or a wall pack transformer powers the LED's.

This more efficiently utilizes light rays emitted by the light box's internal light source, since the multi-layer optical film reflects the light rays many times before the rays are absorbed and lost. Consequently, the light emitting surface can have a light transmissivity characteristic which is macroscopically invariant as a function of position on the light emitting surface. Light boxes utilizing prior art reflective materials require cumbersome, time-consuming, iterative trial and error techniques which must be customized for each light box in order to compensate for light absorption losses by imparting a variable transmissivity characteristic to the reflective material.

The tower light is preferably controlled by a controller unit, with LED lights to light up the indicators.
