Abstract: The invention is a product that allows one to determine precisely how many times a particular garment has been worn. By removing the guesswork from the “wash-or-wear equation,” the consumer knows the garment is sufficiently clean, and will generally be able to extend the wearing of the garment between cleanings. Use of the invention will result in the conservation of resources in terms of reduced consumption of water, energy, detergent/softeners, and dry cleaning services; it will also increase the life span of garments as well as cleaning/drying appliances.
