The signage has a flexible tongue having a neck portion that extends outwardly from the plate portion and has a locking tip extending from the neck portion and the locking tip is formed to be received by the slot. The plastic plate portion is made of a filler material and a detectable additive such that the signage is easily detected by a metal detecting machine.

Abstract: A package includes an outer structure and a variable display. The variable display includes a display band and a main band. The display band is rotatably connected with the main band and has a first display face and a second display face. The display band is joined to the outer structure via an anchor. The main band extends around the outer structure and is moveable from a first vertical position to a second vertical position. The first display face is visible and the second display face is concealed in the first position. The first display face is concealed and the second display face is visible in the second position. The vertical movement of the main band along the outer structure rotates the display band.

Abstract: A wristband that can be attached comfortably to wrists or ankles of various sizes by adjusting a band length. The wristband includes: a display portion, a band portion in a first end portion of the wristband as an extension from one side of the display portion; the first end portion includes band holes, and is wrapped around a wrist or the like; a setting portion formed in the other end portion as an extension from the other side of the display portion, includes a setting hole, and is overlapped with the band portion to attach the wristband in loop form. Band hole displays are printed beside the band holes in positions corresponding to the respective band holes. Band hole displays constituted by the same sequence of numbers as the band hole displays are provided beside the band holes, and boundary marks indicating the application range of the corresponding band hole display are provided in a length measurement portion at identical intervals to the band holes.

Abstract: A wearable band with an adjustable size or length. The band includes a first band element with a raised center or identification member. The band includes a second band element with a body having a loop or lasso at one end defined by an inner surface of a sidewall. The outer sidewall of the raised center member is detachably coupled to the inner surface of the loop-defining sidewall when the center member is received within and captured by the loop such as by a snap detent arrangement. To allow sizing, the second band element includes both an inner band sizing element including the loop-defining sidewall at one of its ends and an outer band sizing element that is detachably coupled to the inner band sizing element. The length of the second band element is defined by the combined length of the inner and outer band sizing elements.

Abstract: A system and method for mounting a badge to a component of a vehicle is provided. The system comprises a mounting base including first and second fastening apertures defined therein, and a trim ring coupled with the mounting base having an opening defined therein. The badge is adapted to be securely mounted between the trim ring and the mounting base so that the badge is positioned within the opening in the trim ring. The system further includes a flexible fastening member that is configured to be positioned within the first and second fastening apertures, positioned around at least a portion of the component of the vehicle, and between the mounting base and the badge to fasten the badge to the vehicle.

Abstract: A self-laminating jewelry tag has a clear flap which folds over a printable side of a label so that the clear flap and adhesive on the clear flap substantially cover and adhere to the label printable side, thereby laminating the printable side so as to protect printing on the printable side from wear, cleaning or other processes that tend to render the printing illegible.

Abstract: A three segment vehicle identification card is provided with an upper hang tag segment, and intermediate claim ticket segment and a lower key tag segment. The lower segment has a removable key tag with a vehicle identification number together with a pair of removable labels, one of which has the vehicle identification number and the other of which has space for entry of the parking space location number for the vehicle receiving service. The removable key tag also has spaces on its foldable tail for entry of the vehicle owners name and the parking space number for the serviced vehicle.

Abstract: A tie comprising a strap (1) having two end portions (1A, 1B) respectively provided with a female portion and a male portion of a fastening system is characterized in that the female portion of the fastening system is an opening (2) in the strap that is bordered by a cleavable region (2A-2C) of the strap. Said tie can be used to create an animal identification band whose diameter can be increased without removing the band from the animal.

Abstract: A closure mechanism receiving aperture presents a substantially contiguous, uninterrupted planar surface on a flexible medium, primarily for use with identification devices, i.e., wristbands. The aperture does not interrupt the printable area so that printer ink may be printed over the aperture without passing through. The inventive aperture also does not produce waster material or chads which can jam or foul-up a printer. An inventive wristband includes both snap closure and adhesive closure mechanisms that can be used at the same time.

Abstract: Apparatus for forming a band into a persistent loop. The band incorporating the apparatus has a hole portion which contains a hole, a tongue portion which fits through the hole, and an adhesive attachment area on one or both of the hole and tongue portions. The band is made into a persistent loop by drawing the tongue portion through the hole and attaching the adhesive attachment area to the loop's outside surface. The size of the loop may be adjusted by varying the amount of the tongue portion which is drawn through the hole. A loop may be temporarily preformed by engaging a structure on the tongue portion with the hole. In embodiments in which the band is made of stiff material, the engaging structures may be the edges of the tongue portion and the edges of the hole. The disclosed embodiment of the apparatus is an identification band.

Abstract: A printer processible wristband has a cinch slot at one end and an imaging area at another, connected with a strap therebetween. The imaging area is shaped like a shovel and the cinch slot is shaped like a “D” and sized so that the imaging area interference fits through the cinch slot to thereby join the wristband about the wrist. The imaging area may have one of its ends adhered to the strap to clamp it in place and further secure the wristband or it may be left loose to act as a hang tag. Alternate embodiments are disclosed including providing a self adhering label to attach to the imaging area, providing a layer of laminate to laminate the printed information or label, providing a second imaging area along with a second strap, and providing a snap closure to further attach the wristband.

Abstract: A tag comprising: a hang tab body; a hang tab; a ratchet; a cutting channel; a guide channel; and, a tail, the tail comprising teeth and at least one knob. The tail may be fed through the guide channel and the cutting channel into the ratchet, thereby allowing the ratchet to engage the teeth, which in turn prevents the tail from being disengaged from the ratchet, thereby securing the tag to a product. The product may be easily released by severing the portion of the tag in the cutting channel. The cutting channel can also provide a guide which helps to prevent damaging the product as the tag is remove.

Abstract: Disclosed is a unitary sheet-like merchandise labeling article that has a labeling tag flatly conjoined along a unifying flat bond zone with a flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag and includes an elastic fastening loop. The loop sides that define the loop are wider than the thickness of the elastic layer. Further, the flexible elastic layer that extends away from the tag has a thickness greater than the thickness of the tag and has a dispersion zone adjacent the unifying flat bond zone. The dispersion zone allows dissipation of elastic loop in-line stretching forces sufficiently to reduce transmission of such forces into the bond zone.

Abstract: A fabrication sheet is appropriately dimensioned and otherwise suitable for use with a printer. A symmetrical, removable and foldable identification band is included in the fabrication sheet. The fabrication sheet includes a rectangular backing sheet, covered by a working sheet, which may be made of imprintable woven polyester. The backing and working sheets are secured to each other by a releasable adhesive and have a combined thickness and flexibility that permits them to pass through a printer without difficulty. The working sheet is die-cut to define the outline of the band configured in such a way that it includes a strap portion and a tag portion. The tag portion is positioned at one end of and extends from the strap portion. The tag portion of the unfolded band includes wing sections extending outwardly, one from each side of the strap portion. The tag portion of the working sheet may include a generally rectangular patch of a different material that better accepts and holds a printed image.

Abstract: A combination article encircling band and coupon or ticket wherein the band is formed by overlapping and contacting spaced adhesive areas formed on opposite surfaces of a strip of material and the coupon or ticket is severable along a line of weakness in the strip material from the band. The combination may be use for advertising and promoting purposes such that information indicia on the band may be related to information indicia on the coupon or ticket.

Abstract: A business form including a wristband is provided with a print area forming a badge, the badge having a length less than and a width greater than a width of either of two straps used to attach the wristband to the wrist, the badge thus having a greater print area to improve the readability of the indicia displayed therein. A business form including a wristband has a bulged rectangularly shaped print area to allow information to be printed transversely across the print area to improve readability of the indicia displayed in the print area. Thus, the bulged rectangularly shaped print area can accommodate one or both of bar codes printed thereon in ladder as well as picket fence fashion. A security seal is disclosed which comprises a small, adhesive coated patch of laminate for sealing the joinder of the wristband ends and which has points of weakness such as X's die cut therein so that it separates or destructs upon removal to provide an indication of tampering with the wristband.

The band portion of the carrier includes a cushioned layer of soft foamy or spongy material for contacting a patient's skin to thereby substantially eliminate any possibility for abrasion, rash, or other irritation or injury to the patient through wearing of the wristband.

Abstract: A towel securing apparatus is disclosed. The towel securing apparatus comprises a strip of material that is formed into a loop, and has a label attached to the loop. It is contemplated that the label may be used for advertising and various other types of promotional purposes (e.g. sports teams, etc. . . . ). It is also contemplated that the apparatus may be installed on a chair such that the label is oriented on the back side of the chair. Additional embodiments provide for various ways to attach an item to the apparatus. This serves to keep common items handy (e.g. sunglasses, camera, etc. . . . ) while at an outdoor venue, such as the beach, pool, on a boat, or at a concert, for example.

Abstract: A game animal tagging apparatus includes a substantially transparent flexible plastic strip having a front side, a back side, and predetermined dimensions, with a pocket member disposed on a portion of the front side. The plastic strip has at least one wing portion and an adhesive covers at least 20 percent of the front side of the plastic strip, and a removable protective member covers at least all of the adhesive.

Abstract: A foldable tag including multiple fold segments and an expandable loop conjoined to one of the multiple fold segments is disclosed. In illustrated embodiments the foldable tag includes multiple fold segments to form a bi-fold tag or alternatively a tri-fold tag. As disclosed the expandable loop is formed along a portion of an elastomeric sheet that is conjoined with a portion of the foldable tag.

Abstract: A wristband is assembled from a flexible preferably vinyl carrier and a preferably laminated ID label, the carrier having a panel portion and a strap portion with a snap closure located in a toe extension at the end of the carrier adjacent the panel. The strap has a series of holes, one of which is captured within the snap closure to attach the wristband to the wearer's limb. The laminated ID label has a pair of opposing slots, one of which slips over the strap to abut the panel and the other of which is captured by the snap closure to attach the label to the carrier. The panel portion has a relieved edge formed along its opposing sides which increases the comfort of the wristband as it is worn.

Abstract: A method of forming an elastic labeling band. The method includes covering a central portion of a web of tag material with a release agent, advancing the web of tag material longitudinally and disposing a layer of molten elastomer over the advancing web of tag material, including over the release agent on the central portion thereof. The layer of molten elastomer is disposed over the web of tag material so that the elastomer bonds only to those portions of the web not covered with the release agent. The method includes curing the elastomer to define, with the web bonded thereto, an advancing web assembly, and separating a longitudinal segment from the web assembly to define an elastic labeling band.

Abstract: A jewelry tag substrate comprises a liner, an adhesive and a clear face stock. The clear face stock has a print side and an adhesive side. The liner is disposed proximate said adhesive side so as to support the face stock. An adhesive is disposed between the liner and the face stock. The liner and the adhesive are adapted so that when portions of the face stock are separated from the liner, the adhesive adheres to the adhesive side. Labels and corresponding shanks are defined by the face stock so that the shanks extend from the labels. A top coat is applied to the print side so that the shanks are substantially clear.

Abstract: Disclosed is a method of forming an elastic labeling band. The method includes covering a central portion of a web of tag material with a release agent, advancing the web of tag material longitudinally and disposing a layer of molten elastomer over the advancing web of tag material, including over the release agent on the central portion thereof. The layer of molten elastomer is disposed over the web of tag material so that the elastomer bonds only to those portions of the web not covered with the release agent. The method includes curing the elastomer to define, with the web bonded thereto, an advancing web assembly, and separating a longitudinal segment from the web assembly to define an elastic labeling band.

Abstract: An object identification apparatus for efficiently distinguishing an object. The object identification apparatus generally includes a body comprised of a unitary one-piece structure, wherein the body is comprised of an expandable material throughout thereof. The body includes a band portion and an identification portion linearly connected to form a non-ending circular structure to encircle an object, such as a beverage container. The identification portion includes a marking space for writing thereupon with a writing utensil. The identification portion is also generally larger in height and thickness than the band portion.

Abstract: A fastening strap and a manufacturing method thereof are provided. The fastening strap includes a first band and a second band. The first band has a first surface and a second surface. The first surface has a plurality of hooks of special configuration. The second band has a third surface and a fourth surface. The third surface is directly adhered to the second surface of the first band, and the fourth surface has a plurality of loops for being mechanically latched by the hooks on the first surface. The second surface and/or the third surface is printed with at least one pattern. After the first band and the second band are adhered together, the pattern can be seen from the first surface of the first band.

The clasp includes a folding base having a first triangular section connected to a second triangular section and a hinge connecting the first and second triangular sections. The hinge defines a folding axis that enables the base to be folded so that the first triangular section is positioned adjacent to the second triangular section in an overlapping relationship. A securement aperture is formed in the first triangular section, and a post extends from the second triangular section to couple with the securement aperture when the base is folded along the folding axis. The post extends from the second triangular section through the attachment aperture of the wristband and couples to the securement aperture of the first triangular section so that the clasp is secured to the wristband.

In addition, each of the first and second beverage identification elements may be the same color, and/or each of the first and second beverage identification elements may have substantially identical patterns thereon. Abstract: A system is shown for differentiating two or more cables of two or more respective appliances. The system comprises respective means in the form of tag devices for positioning on and labelling each cable, wherein each tag device is provided in a differentiated form from each other tag device. The tag devices can be pre-printed or supplied with suitable indicia for positioning thereon. Such a system for identification can allow a user to more readily identify the appliance to which the cable is connected, or in the case of use of the system for labelling and identifying containers, to identify a container and its contents. This can be useful in situations where a plurality of cables, or containers, are located in close proximity to one another.

Abstract: A plurality of identification bracelets removably attached to one another, each bracelet having a first end which includes a cover tab and a second end defining a closure tab having an adhesive portion. The cover tab of a second bracelet removably overlies the adhesive portion of a closure tab of an adjacent first identification bracelet. Upon separating the first and second bracelets, the adhesive portion of the first bracelet is exposed and the cover tab remains with the second bracelet as it is removed. The adhesive portion of the closure tab of the first bracelet is adhered to a surface of the first bracelet as it is moved from an open position to a closed position encircling an object to be identified.

The label portion includes a writable member that includes a writing surface of oriented polypropylene for writing and erasing thereon, and a mounting portion affixing the writable member to the band. The elastic band and the label portion form a closed loop.

Abstract: A tag comprising: a hang tab body; a hang tab; a ratchet; a cutting channel; a guide channel; and, a tail, the tail comprising teeth and at least one knob. The tail may be fed through the guide channel and the cutting channel into the ratchet, thereby allowing the ratchet to engage the teeth, which in turn prevents the tail from being disengaged from the ratchet, thereby securing the tag to a product. The product may be easily released by severing the portion of the tag in the cutting channel. The cutting channel can also provide a guide which helps to prevent damaging the product as the tag is remove.

Abstract: A precisely measured removable cover for reusable beverage containers with releasable closures. The cover has a flexible sheet with a graphical display imprinted on one side and a cover fastener for removably fastening the cover to a container. The sheet is advantageously adapted to substantially cover the side walls of the container. The cover fastener has one or more releasable closures, and at least one of the releasable closures includes a fluked tab interlock locking tab and slot structure, wherein the fluked tab is on one end of the cover and the slot is proximate the opposite end of the cover and parallel to the fluked tab. A cam/slot paired closure is also disclosed.

Abstract: The invention includes a tying or carrying device comprising a flexible elongate member defining generally flat top and bottom surfaces and defining at least two apertures spaced apart and extending longitudinally along the flexible elongate member and between the top and bottom surfaces. The device may be used to carry a plurality of objects, such as garment hangers. The invention includes a roll or sheet comprising a flexible foamed polymer, wherein the roll or sheet is cut to form two or more of the flexible elongate members. The invention further includes a method for carrying a plurality of items comprising the steps of providing a device comprising an elongated member, placing a portion of each item between the ends of the elongated member, inserting the an end of the elongated member through an aperture, pulling, and placing a hand or protrusion through an aperture or grasping an end.

Abstract: A wristband and clasp for securing the wristband to a person is disclosed. The wristband includes at least one attachment aperture. The clasp includes a folding base having a first triangular section connected to a second triangular section and a hinge connecting the first and second triangular sections. The hinge defines a folding axis that enables the base to be folded so that the first triangular section is positioned adjacent to the second triangular section in an overlapping relationship. A securement aperture is formed in the first triangular section, and a post extends from the second triangular section to couple with the securement aperture when the base is folded along the folding axis. The post extends from the second triangular section through the attachment aperture of the wristband and couples to the securement aperture of the first triangular section so that the clasp is secured to the wristband.

Abstract: A label and a label for a security seal are described. The label includes a flexible body with first and second portions connected to one another via a separable connection. A first adhesive is disposed on a rear surface of the first portion. A second adhesive is disposed on a rear surface of the second portion. First information is applied to the first portion. Second information is applied to the second portion. At least a portion of the first information is identical to a portion of the second information. Either the first portion or the second portion includes tamper-evident indicia such that attempted separation of either portion from a substrate, once affixed, exposes the tamper-evident indicia. The first adhesive is formulated to securely affix the first portion to a seal body. The second adhesive is formulated to securely affix the second portion to a document.

Abstract: A plurality of identification bracelets removably attached to one another, each bracelet having a first end which includes a cover tab and a second end defining a closure tab having an adhesive portion. The cover tab of a second bracelet removably overlies the adhesive portion of a closure tab of an adjacent first identification bracelet. Upon separating the first and second bracelets, the adhesive portion of the first bracelet is exposed and the cover tab remains with the second bracelet as it is removed. The adhesive portion of the closure tab of the first bracelet, is adhered to a surface of the identification bracelet as it is moved from an open position to a closed position encircling an object to be identified. The bracelets may be connected end-to-end to form an elongated strip or along elongated side edges to form a sheet of identification bracelets.

Abstract: A vehicle identification and locator card for vehicle parking and servicing establishments includes three segments which can be detached from one another. All three carry the same vehicle identification number. A first segment is placed in the vehicle, a second segment is given to the customer and the third segment includes a die cut removable spatula shaped key tag carrying the vehicle identification number which can be attached to the vehicle key and hung on the hook or peg pending use by the service personnel or return of the vehicle owner. The key tag includes a rubber based adhesive backing and includes a handle portion which is passed through the key ring or hole in the ignition key and then sandwiched between folded parts of a paddle portion of the spatula. The folding brings into registration two holes punched in the paddle portion thereby facilitating hanging the key tag on a hook or peg.
