Abstract: A method of applying a medicament using a disposable swab applicator formed of a swab and a housing including a reservoir member and an adjustable sleeve member is provided. The reservoir member has a channel formed therein for receiving and storing the medicament with the adjustable inner sleeve member also being disposed within the channel. The inner sleeve member has an open first end which receives the swab and a closed second end with one or more windows formed between the first and second ends. In a first position within the reservoir member, the closed second end of the inner sleeve member forms a seal with the reservoir member to effectively store the medicament in the reservoir member. Movement of the inner sleeve member from the first position to a second position causes the medicament to flow through the one or more windows into contact with the swab resulting in the swab being ready for use.

Abstract: A refillable cosmetic powder dispenser is provided for use with a retractable cosmetic powder brush. The refillable cosmetic powder dispenser includes a scoop refiller, a scoop refiller cap, a brush adapter, and a central rotational means connecting the scoop refiller and the brush adapter. Both scoop refiller and brush adapter have one closed end having a plurality of spaced openings, which can be aligned for dispensing powder by manual rotation through the central rotational means. The scoop refiller has an open end with an inclined opening in a scoop like shape for convenient refill of cosmetic powder. Additionally, the refillable cosmetic powder dispenser can further have a mirror on top of the scoop refiller cap for cosmetic applications. The refillable cosmetic powder dispenser can be assembled with a retractable cosmetic powder brush as a refillable cosmetic powder applicator.

Abstract: A refillable cosmetic powder dispenser is provided for use with a retractable cosmetic powder brush. The refillable cosmetic powder dispenser includes a scoop refiller, a scoop refiller cap, a brush adapter, and a center rotational mechanism connecting the scoop refiner and the brush adapter, Both scoop refiller and brush adapter have one closed end having a plurality of spaced openings, which can be aligned for dispensing powder by manual rotation through the center rotational mechanism. The scoop refiller has an open end with an inclined opening in a scoop like shape for convenient refill of cosmetic powder. Additionally, the refillable cosmetic powder dispenser can further have a mirror on top of the scoop refiller cap for cosmetic applications. The refillable cosmetic powder dispenser can be assembled with a retractable cosmetic powder brush as a refillable cosmetic powder applicator.

Abstract: A device for tooth brushing has a main element, a tooth brushing element having a supporting member provided with a plurality of brushes and connected to the main element, and a tooth paste container removably connected with the main element at a side which is opposite to a side of the tooth brushing element, so that the tooth paste container can be removed from the main element, paste can be squeezed from the tooth paste container onto the bristles, and a user can brush teeth by holding the main element with or without the tooth paste container attached.

Abstract: A method and assembly is provided for use in marketing and supplying liquid soap for use with mesh bath sponges includes a substantial sperical mesh body formed from a polymeric netting material. A cord loop is attached and extends from the mesh body. A flexible pouch housing liquid soap is secured to the cord loop such that those who purchase the mesh sponge are enticed to use the liquid soap.

Preferably, the product at least partially impregnates the applicator when the product contacts the applicator.

The brush has a main body portion and depending opposed legs which are integral with and depend from side edges of the body. These legs terminate in inwardly directed ribs which are engageable with the recesses in the legs of the shoulder member so that the brush can be snapped into place on the body within the recess, or substantially within the recess, so that the outer surface of the brush body and the peripheral surface of the container are substantially flush when the brush is connected thereto.

Abstract: A liquid dispenser and applicator is provided having a reservoir for holding a liquid such as a liquid foundation and having a spout through which the liquid may be dispensed. An applicator is attached to the reservoir and is detachable therefrom. The liquid maybe dispensed through the spout onto the applicator for application to a user's skin. The applicator slides into a track provided on the reservoir and is held in the track by a friction fit. A pump may be provided on the reservoir for dispensing the liquid foundation. The user may pump liquid foundation onto the applicator and remove the applicator from the reservoir and apply the liquid foundation onto the user's skin using the applicator. A lid attachable to the reservoir and enclosing the pump and applicator protects the applicator from dirt and other substances and allows the dispenser and applicator to become portable in a handbag or purse.

Abstract: A dispenser is provided for dispensing liquid soap onto a scrub brush. The dispenser includes a reservoir for holding liquid soap, supporting surfaces for supporting the scrub brush in suspension above the liquid soap in the reservoir. In one embodiment, a carrier for holding the scrub brush is depressed by a downward force. The downward movement of the carrier enables even distribution of the liquid soap through the carrier to thereby coat an operative portion of the scrub brush. In another embodiment, a manually actuated pump dispenses the liquid soap upwardly through the bottom of a well onto the scrub brush.

At least one toothbrush is detachably mounted on the annular member, and at least one spring mug is fitted within the rack, so that all commonly used tooth brushing articles are combined into one unit thereby making them convenient to use and arranging them in a tidy manner.

Abstract: A small, compact jewelry cleaning apparatus is provided that easily fits into a pocket, purse, or travel bag, to allow a user to clean jewelry conveniently and thoroughly either at or away from home. The preferred apparatus includes a small container containing a reservoir of cleaning fluid, a cleaning instrument, which preferably is attached to the container, and a magnifying lens, also preferably attached to the container. The preferred method for cleaning jewelry using the apparatus involves applying cleaning fluid contained in the container to a piece of jewelry, removing foreign matter from the jewelry using the cleaning instrument, drying the jewelry, and inspecting the jewelry using the magnifying lens. Any of these steps may be repeated as necessary.

Abstract: A method for fusing brushware on a thin walled, molded hollow plastic synthetic container is described. Tufts of synthetic materials arc picked and non-working ends thereof fused. The hollow bottle is molded with protrusions extending from a surface thereof with one protrusion intended to received each fused tuft end. The protrusions then are heat softened to form a melted section of synthetic surface wherein the fused tuft end can be mounted. The result is a hollow container having tufts extending from the outer surface thereof, integral with the container without distorting the thin wall thereof by the fusing process.

Abstract: An apparatus for cleaning an article such as a baby bottle includes a handle that is sized and configured to be gripped in one hand of a user, and a reservoir defined within the handle for storing a detergent. A push-pull cap is provided on the handle for dispensing detergent from the reservoir when the handle is squeezed. A brush is connected to the handle, and is sized and configured so as to be able to fit into an open end of a baby bottle to scrub the baby bottle during cleaning. The push-pull cap is advantageously located on a portion of the handle member that is remote from the brush member, so that a user will be able to dispense detergent and scrub without putting down the apparatus, and also have the flexibility to scrub without fear of unwanted detergent leaking into the brush, such as during a final rinse. A novel brush configuration is also disclosed.

Abstract: A combination liquid soap dispenser and scrub brush for dispensing a liquid onto a scrub brush or other cleaning implement. The combination liquid soap dispenser and scrub brush includes a container for holding a liquid, a carrier for holding the cleaning implement, and a means to mount the carrier in suspension above the liquid in the container. In use, the carrier with cleaning element is depressed through downward force to the level of the liquid in the container so as to coat the cleaning implement evenly.

Abstract: A combined toothbrush and toothpaste dispenser is described which is adapted to store toothpaste in a reservoir in the casing of the brush and to deposit a controlled quantity of the stored toothpaste directly onto the brush surface. The toothbrush comprises: (1) a brush 1 having bristles 8 which are attached to and supported by a brush head portion 5 and a handle 2, and (2) a casing 11 made of flexible material containing a reservoir 7 within the casing. The toothbrush is operated by squeezing the casing which causes toothpaste to be deposited from the reservoir onto the bristles. The upper surface of the bristles may have cavities 12 to receive and contain the toothpaste.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a combined toilet bowl cleaning brush and storage container system. The brush is provided with a support which rests on an upper edge of a container wherein the container forms upper and lower volumes and includes a resilient vertically compressible bellows section. Disinfectant fluid is provided in the lower volume. When the support is forced downward, the bellows compresses and fluid is squirted on the brush. When released, the bellows expands and the brush is suspended above the fluid. A restrictor web can be placed at the throat of the lower volume to discourage refill use of the lower volume.

In operation, as pressure is applied to the thumb lever, the sleeve rotates and the toothpaste wiping trough rotates around the toothbrush base plate and the plurality of bristles for evenly distributing the toothpaste onto the top surface area of the plurality of bristles, in a single wiping action.

Abstract: New dispensers for cake cosmetic products are disclosed. In one embodiment, the dispenser includes a cover member defining a compartment; a cosmetic in the compartment; an abrader member at least partially in the compartment, effective to abrade the cosmetic in the compartment and defining at least one hole through which abraded cosmetic from the compartment passes; and an applicator member including an applicator tip for cosmetic application purposes which is adapted to be placed in proximity to the abrader member to at least partially coat the applicator tip with abraded cosmetic from the compartment.

Abstract: A cosmetic pencil having at least one applicator to which a detachable reservoir for a cosmetic substance is engaged. The applicator and the reservoir are spring-loaded and rotatable relative to each other. An axially displaceable cover having apertures is provided over the applicator so that a comparatively soft cosmetic substance can be used in the reservoir. The cover is located between the surface of the cosmetic substance and the applicator.

Abstract: A combination cap and material tooling device is provided including an elongated blade supported on a base wherein the base includes an engagement portion and an intermediate portion. The engagement portion is preferably provided with threads for engaging threads on a container for a spackling stick whereby the contents of the container may be sealed from air to thereby preserve the contents in a soft pliable putty-like consistency. The intermediate portion is located between the blade and the engagement portion and includes a finger depression for receiving an operator's finger whereby the base may be comfortably used to guide the blade in a spackling operation.

Abstract: A new Wax Container Hand Buffer for buffing and polishing a vehicle by hand thereby producing an even finish and a high finish. The inventive device includes a cylindrical handle, the cylindrical handle includes a wax reservoir which can be access through a reservoir cap on the cornice of the cylindrical handle, a circular base secured to the end of the cylindrical handle opposite of the reservoir cap, and a buffer pad removably secured around the circular base by a concentric string fastener.

Abstract: A toothbrush has a first handle portion containing toothpaste and a movable handle portion projecting longitudinally through an end opening of the first handle portion and forming a ram for expelling the toothpaste through a passage in a bristle end portion of the toothbrush to outlet openings between bristles. The movable handle portion is in two relatively separable parts having mutually interengageable end portions releasably securing the parts together, one of the parts containing a mouthwash chamber with a supply of mouthwash and the other parts containing a floss chamber with a supply of dental floss. The movable handle is readily releasably secured to the first handle portion.

Abstract: A section of sponge-like cleaning material partially enclosed within a rigid casing to form a cleaning surface that is contoured to simultaneously contact the edge and sides of a windshield wiper blade; being movable back and forth along the length of a wiper blade by a hollow handle that can be used to store cleansing fluid directly or in a squeeze-type dropper.

Abstract: An applicator tool for manual delivery of a controlled quantity of a liquid to an application site, comprises a handle and a tool bit attached to the handle. The tool bit comprises a plate made of a material that is not readily wetted by the liquid. The plate has an attachment portion by which the plate is attached to the handle, and two fingers that extend from the attachment portion toward a tip of the tool bit and are separated by a slot.

Abstract: A brush head mounted on a handle that is tubular and forms a reservoir for the toothpaste. The reservoir is closed to the brush head, and at its rear end has a nozzle. The handle includes a flexible member which is bent to move the nozzle onto the bristles of the brush head. A removable cap normally closes the nozzle. In one form an enclosure sleeve encloses the handle and flexible member. A cap is removably mounted over the brush head.

Abstract: A device for filling a converter with writing fluid, including a connector designed to be sealingly engaged with the orifice of a converter. The connector has an orifice in the shape of an orifice of a conventional ink cartridge. The device also includes a pipe-shaped conduit segment, connecting to the connector and extending into the interior of a reservoir containing writing fluid. The pipe-shaped conduit segment extends from the connector in an inclined fashion to a free end proximate to the bottom of the reservoir.

Abstract: The combination candy sucker and edible powder is a novelty candy holding device designed for the combination of a hard sucker type candy with a powder or granular candy in a self contained housing. The holding device has two parts. The top cap has a hard sucker type candy and the plastic housing contains the powder or granular candy. After removing the top cap, the hard candy is moistened and then dipped into the powder or granular candy. The sucker is then covered with the powder or granular candy giving a different and unique taste for children to enjoy.

Abstract: Applicator tube for cosmetic products, particularly mascara, having a tubular outer body. A cap fitted on one end of the tubular body has a rod attached to it, and an applicator is attached at the other end or the rod. The applicator is disposed inside the tubular body, in a longitudinally moveable part, and is removable therefrom to apply the cosmetic product. A removable container is at the lower end of the tubular body. A deformable part is disposed above the container whereby pressing down and releasing the cap causes mascara to be drawn into the applicator tube from the removable container to impregnate the applicator, which can then be withdrawn from the tubular body to apply the mascara. In another embodiment, the applicator moves between a retracted position inside the tubular body and an extended position when the removable container is pushed into the tubular body and thereafter withdrawn.

Abstract: An elongated housing structure is provided for accommodating a toothbrush head at one of its ends, and for insertion of a tube of toothpaste through the other of its ends. A rotating pin is provided to roll the bottom end of the toothpaste tube, thereby to dispense the toothpaste, and to move forwardly of the housing as the tube becomes smaller and smaller when the toothpaste is dispensed. The forward motion of the pin is accommodated by an elongated slot defined by the housing. A further structural provision is made in order to selectively move the top of the toothpaste tube into and out of position with respect to the bristles of the toothbrush, by means of a knurled knob and depending collar or neck holder movable in a second slot defined by the housing. The toothbrush head is movably connected to the front of the housing, so that the bristles can be moved between a paste-loading position and a brushing position. A gripping surface is also defined by the housing.

An intermediate portion interconnects the head portion and the base portion and includes a recessed region formed below the bristles. The lower piece has a receptacle for accommodating a first dentifrice therein. A container is received by the recessed region for holding a second dentifrice therein. A closure is selectively engaged with the toothbrush apparatus for provisionally enclosing at least the head portion and the bristles of the upper piece between uses.

Abstract: A dispenser for an extrudable product includes an applicator member having a handle and an applicator tip connected to the handle, a cover member having a hollow interior that extends along a cover member axis to an open end of the cover member, which open end is dimensioned and arranged to receive the applicator tip, a supply of an extrudable product within the cover member, and an extrusion mechanism within the cover member. The extrusion mechanism includes an extrusion die and components for enabling a user to rotate the extrusion die relative to a portion of the cover member in order to operate the extrusion mechanism. The extrusion die has an extrusion orifice and it bears against the cover member at an interface between the extrusion die and the cover member.

Abstract: A cosmetic powder brush dispenser for depositing cosmetic powder onto a brush within the unitary structure of the dispenser. The dispenser incorporates a deformable container for storing the cosmetic powder and a spray-head at the end of the container with an orifice and upstanding posts that ensure powder break-up prior to its exiting the orifice. A second embodiment of the device uses a metering collar to limit the amount of deformation of the container whereby a desired small quantity of cosmetic powder is forced therefrom.

Abstract: A tooth brushing assembly for dispensing both toothpaste and dental floss. The assembly includes a toothpaste reservoir which has a cylindrical knob at the rear thereof. A spool of dental floss is held within the chamber, and the knob has a cap and cutoff blade associated with it. Preferably, a tooth brush is affixed over the cap end of the reservoir, and a preferred method of dispensing the toothpaste with a piston is also disclosed.
