A sleeve-shaped receiving element has a piston-shaped element carrying the coatable material that is displaceable in longitudinal direction by a screw spindle operated by an external rotary grip at the base of the receiving element. The underside of the piston-shaped element is formed to complement the inwardly protruding shape of the sleeve base or grip element, such that there is virtually no free space in which air can collect between the piston-shaped element and the sleeve base when the piston element is fully retracted in the receiving element. Thus the device avoids undesired bubble formation during the filling process, and undesired material break off during use can be largely excluded.

  • Patent number: 6918511
Abstract: A dispensing device comprising a container with product outlets, a screw that operates a piston within the container and a torsion spring that biases the screw. The torsion spring includes a hoop having one or more inner tabs. The hoop is frictionally engaged with an interior surface of the container. A boss is fixed to the screw and a flexible arm interconnects the hoop and boss. The torsion spring also includes a spoke that is angularly offset from the flexible arm. Application of a rotational force to the screw urges the piston toward the container outlets, causing the flexible arm to yield, allowing the boss to rotate relative to the hoop until the spoke engages an inner tab. Further rotation releases the hoop from frictional engagement with the container. Once the rotational force is removed, the hoop re-engages the container interior surface and the flexible arm regains its original shape, causing the hub and screw to counter-rotate, which simultaneously moves the piston away from the fluid outlets.

  • Patent number: 6820776
Abstract: A device for dispensing solid material from a tube having a longitudinally displaceable internal piston moved by an externally operated spindle threading through the piston. At its base the spindle has a narrowed, non-threaded region, such that when the piston is fully withdrawn into the tube, the threads of the spindle and piston slip if the spindle continues to be rotated. To prevent the piston threads from completely disengaging the spindle threads, the spindle's non-threaded region is shorter than the piston's internal threads. In this way, the spindle will not break even if it continues to be rotated after the piston is fully withdrawn into the tube, yet it readily engages the piston threads when turned in the opposite direction to displace the piston towards the dispensing end of the tube. Thus the device as a whole remains reliably usable.

Abstract: A toothbrush consists of a cylindrical brush handle forming a toothpaste receiver having toothpaste therein, a brush rod provided with brush bristles and a guide passage therein, a turning end cap formed with a threaded rod extending into the toothpaste receiver and a squeezing block threadingly engaging the threaded rod in the toothpaste receiver. When the end cap is turned, the squeezing block may be actuated to move forward or backward such that the toothpaste may be squeezed toward the brush rod to overflow over the brush bristles through the guide passage. By opening a seal lid of the turning end cap, a general toothpaste tube can be squeezed so that the toothpaste refills the toothpaste receiver during refilling.

Abstract: In the outer sleeve there runs a threaded spindle which is mounted in a bearing sleeve (5) and on which a piston (30) is movable up and down. The outer sleeve (1) is in relation to its inner diameter Ad considerably longer than with known glue sticks. The ratio of the inner diameter Ad of the outer sleeve (1) to the length AL of the part of the outer sleeve which serves for receiving a rod-like adhesive mass (10) here lies in the region of 1:6 to 1:15. This however according to the invention demands that the threaded spindle is configured such that it simultaneously serves as a conveyor worm. Thanks to the special configuration of the piston (30) is spite of the great length of the threaded spindle there is achieved a bending-breakage stabilisation.

This disposable toothbrush is designed to be used many times before replacement is needed. The handle size of the toothbrush will determine the longevity of each toothbrush. My invention is a toothbrush and toothpaste all in one. The toothpaste for this toothbrush will be concealed in the handle. A one way valve will release the toothpaste into the brushes of this toothbrush. Opposite the brush end of the brush-n-go their will be a twist knob to regulate the need of toothpaste, per each use. Simply twist the knob and the toothpaste will be forced out the one way valve into the brushes of the brush-n-go. After use just clean brushes with water and the brush-n-go will be ready to go.

Abstract: The dispenser is of an ergonomic shape, provides for single hand use in the actuation of the dispenser and the application of substances to the skin, and can accommodate different application surfaces. The dispenser has a barrel closed at one end and an angled barrel extension at another end. The push button actuator to dispense the product is located in the barrel extension. On the upper end of the barrel extension is an applicator surface. This applicator surface can be microporous, porous or have separate distinct apertures. A gel, lotion or other semisolid liquid is stored in the barrel. Upon pressing the actuator the elevator rises upwardly with the gel, lotion or other semisolid liquid passing through conduits to the applicator surface. It then is applied to the skin. The pressing of the actuator causes a threaded rod to rotate which raises the elevational.
