Abstract: There is provided a cutting method for cutting a work by rotating a rotary tool with a circular cutting edge around an axis while a cutting fluid is supplied thereto. Cutting is performed by means of the rotary tool which is rotated in the same rotational direction as an outflow direction of chips, and the rotary tool is rotated at a rotational speed of the rotary tool at which a circumferential speed of the cutting edge is higher than an outflow speed of the chips. Thus, the area of direct solid contact between the rotary tool and the chips is reduced with the aid of a dynamic pressure effect, and the abrasion of the rotary tool is suppressed.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for manufacturing products by applying material at least partially in layers to form a structure, in particular by selective laser melting (SLM), said method comprising the steps of: (a) providing a base plate, (b) applying a layer of a curable material, (c) selectively curing predetermined zones of the applied layer on the basis of geometrical data of the product, (d) repeating steps (b) and (c) until the geometry of a first partial volume of the product has been created in the form of a cured material and (e) removing the uncured material. According to the invention, a reference mark is provided, the unit formed by the base plate and the first volume zones is clamped into a specific position by means of the reference mark and the respective second partial volume of the respective product is cut from the base plate, preferably by machining, in particular CNC milling.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method of manufacturing a blade for a wind turbine, wherein the blade is made in one or more moulds; and wherein the blade has integrally moulded root bushings in the root of the blade for direct or indirect attachment to a hub in a wind turbine. The novel aspect of the invention is that the root bushings (203) in the root (201) of the blade are leveled by shortening of at least one of the root bushings prior to the blade being removed from a supporting mould (205). The invention further relates to a blade made in accordance with the method and a leveling unit (207) for leveling the root of the blade, wherein the leveling unit comprises means for mounting on a mould.

  • Publication number: 20110129311
Abstract: In cutting processes of a tree-shaped groove, in a rough cutting process, by using a rough cutting tool (20), as well as cutting a tapered groove (2), cutting is performed in a first narrow portion (11), a second narrow portion (12), and a third narrow portion (13) of a planned groove shape 10 such that a specified cutting allowance is left. In the following semi-finishing process, by using a semi-finishing tool, cutting is performed for portions other than the three narrow portions (11 to 13) that have already been cut. Because a work material 1 does not come in contact with three reduced diameter portions, of the semi-finishing tool formed in an upside-down Christmas tree shape, corresponding to the three narrow portions (11 to 13), a load is not imposed on the three reduced diameter portions, which are weak against shock among all portions of the semi-finishing tool, and the cutting feed can therefore be faster. Further, by performing a finishing process, the tree-shaped groove can be efficiently cut.
