Abstract: An apparatus and method are disclosed for orally administering to a recipient a medication, in a liquid form, and a flavor for rendering the medication more palatable to the recipient. A manually-operated liquid dispenser dispenses a measured dose of the medication at an administering head comprised of an edible flavored material placed within a recipient's mouth. A handle is coupled with the dispenser, by inserting either one into a receptacle of the other, and the dispenser is operated manually to dispense the medication through a dispensing outlet located relative to the administering head to assure administering substantially all of the measured dose of medication to the recipient's mouth while flavor is derived from the edible flavored material for being present with the measured dose of medication.

Abstract: A fish food dispensing assembly includes (i) a handle member; and (ii) a perforated container that is selectively, magnetically linked to the handle member with an aquarium panel therebetween. The perforated container is configured to receive fish food therein and to dispense fish food therefrom in a liquid environment. The fish food dispensing assembly also acts as a cleaner and can be moved with respect to the aquarium in order to clean the aquarium and/or position the fish food dispensing assembly in desired locations for feeding fish within the aquarium.

Abstract: Disclosed is a beverage extraction filter that can extract in a plurality of extraction machine types. The beverage extraction filter comprises a filter unit (40) where coffee powder is housed and a planar lid unit (41) mounted to the top section of the filter unit (40). The lid unit (41) is formed in a layer structure created by a non-permeable first sheet member (42) positioned on the filter unit side (40) and a permeable second sheet member (43) layered on top of the first sheet member (42), and a hole section (42a) through which hot water is made to pass is formed in the center of the first sheet member (42).

The capsule forms a chamber with a film cover sealing the chamber for the brewing of a beverage. At the base of the capsule the external wall of the capsule protrudes into the body of the capsule chamber to form a diffuser. The base of the paper filter cup rests on the diffuser. The top rim of the paper filter cup is attached to the film cover. Between the walls of the paper filter cup and the external capsule wall is a vertical flow channel. During the brewing process water initially flows through the extractable ingredient in the paper filter, circulates upward within the vertical flow channel, back through the paper filter, and recirculates through the extractable ingredient.

The formed surfaces that enable one position exist substantially without interference with the surfaces that enable the alternative position. A thin film can be applied to the top of the container to seal the food within when positioned for storage and transport and can be adopted to fit snugly in a box further protecting the food. Thin formable materials can be used in making the container. Versions of this material can allow food to be safely warmed in an oven within the container. Methods for preparing food within the container are also disclosed.

Abstract: An assembly and method are provided for storing and dispensing a soluble substance, such as a flavoring, into a liquid. A useful application of the subject invention includes the case where lime-flavored liquid is contained in a foam artificial lime stored in the neck of a beer bottle, attached to a beer bottle or can, or attached to the 6-pack or 12-pack carton. The artificial lime may be retrieved from the neck or a protective covering and acted upon so it diffuses the lime-flavored liquid into the beer when it is inserted into the beer bottle. Alternately, juice from the artificial lime may be squeezed into the beer, or the artificial lime may be simply retrieved and discarded. Rather than needing to buy a natural lime, cut it up and push a wedge into a beer bottle, an artificial lime, or a packaged natural lime, may be stored directly in or with the beer bottle and placed in functional contact with the beer at time of consumption.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include food packages and related methods. In an embodiment, the invention includes a food package. The food package can include an exterior sealing enclosure, an interior barrier, the interior barrier separating the first compartment and the second adjacent compartment, a first food component, and a second food component. The exterior sealing enclosure can include a first compartment, a second adjacent compartment, a top, a bottom, a first side, and a second side. The interior barrier can be frangible through manual manipulation by a consumer without rupturing the exterior sealing enclosure. In an embodiment, the invention includes a method of packaging food components. Other embodiments are also included herein.
