The packages (10) may be customized, functional packages that are designed to prevent accidental spillage or leakage of a flowable consumable product housed therein. In a general embodiment, flexible packages (10) are provided and include a body (12) defining a cavity (14) for housing a flowable 12 product and a channel (16) for dispensing the flowable product from the cavity, wherein the channel (16) has a length that is from about two to about four times a width of the channel. In another embodiment, the channel (16) comprises a length-to-width ratio that is sufficient to prevent a liquid from leaking from the flexible package (10) without a force applied to the flexible package.

A food product assembly may include a cartridge containing a liquid component medium that is usable by a beverage forming machine to produce a liquid component of the food product. Embodiments of the food container include a repository composed of inelastic, flexible material and a fitment with an opening sufficiently wide to permit extrusion of moderately cohesive foods with moderate to high viscosity, and sufficiently narrow to prevent such foods from spilling from the fitment opening. In some embodiments, the fitment opening bears a tamper-evident hermetic seal or a replaceable cap, which may also have a tamper-evident seal. Methods are disclosed for manufacturing the food container by assembling it and filling it with food. Other methods involve using the container to eat by squeezing it.

In particular, the filter element facilitates brewing through increased permeability of fluid from a brewed beverage from brewable particles, such fluid including liquid and gas, and the easing of gas build up in a brewing device herein by the removal of gases emitted from a beverage medium housed within a beverage cartridge during brewing. The filter element may be used within a rigid, semi-rigid or soft pod that is insertable within a beverage brewer. The invention particularly concerns the brewing of coffee and coffee products in a coffee brewing machine configured to receive pods holding coffee particles that are injected with water and caused to brew coffee therefrom.

Abstract: An extrusion-type frozen dessert storage container for preventing undesired and forced extrusion of a frozen dessert contained therein, including a container body and a sealing membrane. The container body includes an upper container body, a connection portion and a lower container body which are connected with each other. The upper chamfer cambered surface of the upper container body has at least one convex body. The bottom surface of lower container body is provided with an extrusion opening and the inner wall of the container body defines a storage space communicated with the extrusion opening. The sealing membrane adheres to the bottom surface of the container body and is covered on the extrusion opening.
