Ring Structure At Pot Outlet Forms Central Vertical Discharge Throat Patents (Class 431/336)
  • Publication number: 20150102116
Abstract: A bottom assembly unit for a vaporizing burner combustion chamber assembly unit, especially for a vehicle heater, includes a bottom part (24) with a bottom wall. A porous evaporator medium (44) at least partially covers the bottom wall on a front side (42) positioned such that it faces a combustion chamber (20). A ring-shaped holding part (34) has a contact area (40) touching the porous evaporator medium (44). The contact area has a contact section (62) extending radially inwardly from a holding part circumferential wall (36) and extends over the porous evaporator medium (44) in a radially outer area (66). A plurality of contact projections (68) are arranged at spaced locations from one another about the longitudinal axis and extend in the direction of the porous evaporator medium. The porous evaporator medium (44) is pressed by the contact projections (68) in a radially outer area (66) against the bottom wall.

  • Patent number: 4789331
Abstract: A burner comprises a fiber wick-filled atomizing chamber formed at an end of a combustion cylinder that constitutes a combustion chamber; a perforated ceramic disc provided in front of the atomizing chamber; and a heating plug that protrudes into the combustion chamber penetrating through the fiber wick and the ceramic disc. The heating plug is constituted by a heater bar composed of a ceramic material in which a heater coil is buried, in such a manner that a portion positioned in the atomizing chamber has a low temperature and an end protruded into the combustion chamber has a high temperature. The atomizing chamber, the combustion chamber and the combustion gas exhaust port are laterally arranged nearly in a horizontal direction, and a fuel feeding port is open at an upper portion of the atomizing chamber. Moreover, an air introducing path is formed between the combustion cylinder and an outer cylinder which surrounds the combustion cylinder.

  • Patent number: 4351316
Abstract: Combustion apparatus for burning waste oils of various viscosities with high combustion efficiency and which can meet strict polution regulations comprises primary and secondary combustion chambers with the secondary combustion chamber located above the primary combustion chamber and the primary combustion chamber located within an outer housing so as to define between the outer housing and the primary combustion chamber a plenum space. An air blower delivers air to the plenum space which feeds air into the primary combustion chamber through air inlet openings in its side wall. The primary combustion chamber has a burner bowl provided at its base and a burner ring disposed above the burner bowl. Oil is supplied at a constant rate to the burner bowl via a positive displacement pump. The burner ring features a central aperture and two concentrically disposed rings of orifices with the orifices of the outer ring being of larger diameter than the orifices of the inner ring.

  • Patent number: 4136625
Abstract: A flame injection throat for a furnace incorporates a furnace structure formed with a flame injection throat opening lined by at least one ring of refractory tiles the adjacent edge portions of the outer faces of selected adjacent tiles are formed with aligned undercut grooves. Pins having enlarged ends are attached to the furnace structure within the throat opening and project into the groove. Locking members fitted into the grooves engage simultaneously the undercut portions of the grooves in the tiles and the enlarged ends of the pins lying within the grooves whereby to hold the tiles to the pins. Each locking member is a block of heat-resisting metal presenting two limbs arranged to straddle a pin projecting into the groove.
