  • Patent number: 5769623
Abstract: The burner comprises a cylindrical body defining an oil vaporizing chamber, an inlet on the body for oil, and inlet on the body for air and a bed of imitation fuel such as ceramic briquettes. The bed of imitation fuel receives vapor from the chamber for combustion around the imitation solid fuel. Heat generated by such combustion is arranged to vaporize oil in the chamber received rom the oil inlet.

  • Patent number: 5478233
Abstract: A burner for combusting vaporized liquid fuel includes a combustion chamber which is open at an upper end and a side wall which defines air supply openings through which air is delivered into the combustion chamber. A thermally conductive body is disposed in the combustion chamber and extends upwards to the upper end of the chamber. The body enhances the combustion of the fuel within the combustion chamber. A disk-shaped annulus defining gas flow openings is mounted in the combustion chamber and extends radially inwards from the side wall to proximate the body, such that substantially all gas flow past the annulus occurs through the gas flow openings.

  • Patent number: 3990428
Abstract: A pot-type burner is equipped with baffle plates for establishing recirculation zones within the burner for efficiently mixing air and gas in a conventional manner. The burner construction is improved by removing the combustion ring, and in its stead adding an annular dome. This initiates sonic pulsations, sustained within a heat exchanger housing which has critical dimensions relative to the burner parts. The pulsations produce improved combustion.
