  • Patent number: 7290369
Abstract: A device for the synchronized actuation of sliding doors, provided for two sliding doors moving indistinctly in the same plane or in two planes forming any angle, consisting of two pairs of cogwheels (8-8?) and (9-9?) between which there is arranged, inside of each pair, an also cog belt (10-10?), a connection part (13-13?) fixed to the corresponding suspension grip (6-6?) of the respective sliding door being joined to each one of these belts. Joined to the two neighboring cogwheels (9-9?) there are respective cogwheels (18-18?) of a larger diameter, directly meshing with one another, to synchronously transmit motion from one cog belt (10-10?) to the other, cogwheels (18-18?) which are kept joined by means of parts (20) bridging their shafts (19-19?) and maintaining the drive transmission both when the doors are coplanar and when they form any angle.

  • Patent number: 7254918
Abstract: An emergency unlocking device for locking and unlocking systems for swinging sliding doors, in particular of rail vehicles. The emergency unlocking device has a traction device that engages on a first spring-loaded pivoted lever that is connected via a second lever to a third lever. The third lever is attached to the axial shaft of a spring-loaded rotary magnet and has elongate holes in which a bolt is displaceably mounted. When the traction device is subjected to tensile stress, the bolt engages with a fourth lever that is pivotably mounted on a shaft, and moves the fourth lever. The fourth lever is operatively connected via a coupling rod and deflection unit to a locking rod that moves the vertical direction. A rod, via which a force component that brings about the locking and unlocking of the door leaves can be applied, engages on the fourth lever.

  • Patent number: 7013605
Abstract: A door suspension assembly includes a ferromagnetic flat plate horizontally extending from a support rail adapted to be attached to a door frame above a doorway or entrance portal. Two supporting blocks each have an opening in which a cylindrical bearing with an axial hole is located. The supporting blocks are attached to a door panel. Connectors extend downwardly from the flat plate and support a tube that extends through the holes in the bearings. A magnet array is supported by an upper plate attached to upper ends of the supporting blocks with a small magnetic gap between the magnet array and the flat plate such that the magnet array generates a magnetic force lifting the supporting blocks and the door panel. A primary of a linear motor is attached to the upper plate between the supporting blocks and cooperates with a secondary located in the interior of the tube to move the door panel relative to the flat plate.

  • Patent number: 6324789
Abstract: A door support and drive mechanism for a door can be mounted either over or in a door opening in a transit vehicle or other structure. The mechanism includes a tube which has a longitudinal slot. The mechanism also has mounts attached to the tube for mounting the mechanism to the structure over the door opening, so that the tube is substantially horizontal and the slot is along a lower portion of the tube. The mechanism includes at least one door hanger which has an upper portion movably disposed within the tube and a depending portion passing through the slot, the depending portion being for attachment to the door. The mechanism has a drive nut attached to the door hanger. A drive screw is positioned in the tube, engaging a threaded inner portion of the drive nut. The drive screw is connectable to a rotary power device to be rotated thereby. Rotation of the drive screw causes longitudinal movement of the drive nut and the hanger to which the drive nut is attached, so that the door is moved longitudinally.

  • Patent number: 6278376
Abstract: Method of facilitating release of an object caught by one or more closing transit vehicle door(s) in a motorized door system having a two stage lock, the two stage lock having a fully locked position and a pushback lock position. The method includes detecting the presence of the object by the effect of the object on either the position or the velocity of the door(s). The method also includes determining whether the door(s) are in a pushback range between the fully locked position and the pushback lock position. If an object is detected and the door(s) are in the pushback range, then one or more signals are supplied to a motor of the door(s) to move the door(s) in the door opening direction to or toward the pushback lock position.

  • Patent number: 6119401
Abstract: A window regulator for moving a pair of slidable window panes toward and away from one another utilizes three flexible, inextensible members such as cables to achieve a pull open/pull closed mode of operation of the slidable panes. First and second of the flexible members are attached to respective first and second pane carriers and to a drive drum, and the third flexible member connects the first and second pane carriers. The first and third flexible members are routed around pulleys located at outboard ends of a guide rail along which the pane carriers travel such that rotation of the drive drum in one direction pulls the panes toward an open position, and rotation of the drum in the opposite direction pulls the panes toward a closed position.

  • Patent number: 6032416
Abstract: The present invention is a bi-parting door system for transit vehicles. It has two doors mounted for movement in opposite directions and a motor for opening and closing them. It has at least one lock having a lock member for locking the doors in a closed position. The lock member is biased toward the locking position and moveable to an unlocking position by an actuator controlled by a control system which also controls the motor. When the doors are closed they experience a biasing force tending to open them and this biasing force is reacted by the lock member to generate a load on the lock member which prevents it from moving as a result of a spurious signal to the actuator. Unlocking of the doors requires a door closing signal to be received by the motor to remove the load from the lock member, as well as an unlocking signal to the actuator. Hence, the doors cannot be opened by any one spurious signal to either the motor or to the actuator.

  • Patent number: 5808246
Abstract: An electronic motor drive produces a required motion profile for an elevator door operator actuated by a three-phase, line-powered linear induction motor (LIM) by means of an array of TRIAC switches producing selected forces from the LIM. The TRIAC drive is capable of producing acceleration, deceleration or free coast in either the open or close direction of door operation. When controlled by an algorithm such as a "time-optimal switch point" or "bang-bang" control, the TRIAC drive produces the required motions from the linear induction motor for elevator door operation. The motor windings may be switchable between delta and wye hookups to provide two distinct thrust levels. Phase angle modulation may be used to provide finer control of thrust.
