Abstract: A foam pad structure having a protective film includes a substrate layer, a hot glue layer, a printed pattern layer, and an adhesive film. The substrate layer is made of a foam material. The substrate layer has two surfaces arranged oppositely on its upper and lower sides. The hot glue layer is coated on at least one of the two surfaces of the substrate layer. The hot glue layer has an adhesive surface facing away from the substrate layer. The printed pattern layer is composed of a pigment containing the same composition as the hot glue layer. The printed pattern layer is printed on the adhesive surface of the hot glue layer. The hot glue layer and the printed pattern layer are melted between the substrate layer and the adhesive film.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to yoga mats. In one example, a yoga mat preserver is disclosed, which includes a perimeter with dimensions substantially similar to a yoga mat, and a thickness substantially less than a thickness of the yoga mat. For this example, at least one component of the yoga mat preserver comprises a moisture absorbent material. In another example, a yoga mat carrier is disclosed, which includes a first end configured to wrap around a circumference of a first end of a rolled yoga mat, and a second end configured to wrap around a circumference of a second end of the rolled yoga mat. The yoga mat carrier further includes a strap in which a first end is attached to the first end of the yoga mat carrier, and a second end is attached to the second end of the yoga mat carrier.

Abstract: A backpack that comprises a series of durable fabric panels that have been sewn together to form a soft and expandable container, which has been equipped with ergonomic shoulder straps and numerous features for the homeless individual that help overcome many of the shortcomings and disadvantages of prior art. The backpack employs a series of adjustable quick-release straps to provide expandability and Velcro connections for detachability. The backpack employs an internal pleated back pad that is removable to be used as a sleeping pad and in combination with a chevron stitch pattern for added support and user comfort. The backpack also has a closure system for closing the top inner liner of a backpack.

Abstract: A closed cell foam sleeping pad has a foldable configuration and can be folded accordion style. The sleeping pad's top and bottom surfaces have a plurality of protrusions and a plurality of indentations, wherein the protrusions and indentations are arranged at different locations on different but adjacent foldable sections of the sleeping pad body such that when the pad is folded accordion style, the protrusions nest into the indentations perfectly to give the sleeping pad a smaller packing density while at the same time providing the protrusions for added user comfort.

The positioning apparatus includes a wedge-shaped body configured to be placed under the support device to support a patient in a desired position and a tail including an elongated piece of material extending from the wedge-shaped body.

Abstract: A mattress guard with one or more inflatable bumpers to prevent patients or older adults from accidentally rolling out of or falling out of bed, and also to avoid the patients or older adults from being trapped in hard/rigid bed rails. A mattress cover includes a fitted mattress sheet, one or more inflatable bumpers, and an air pump system to inflate and deflate the one or more bumpers. At least one of the bumpers has a length and a position that optimizes safety and allows for common user movements without requiring deflation of the bumper. A dual pump system may include primary pump with higher inflation rate to initially inflate one or more bumpers and a secondary pump with lower inflation rate and/or that is quieter to maintain inflation of the bumper(s). An alert system can provide alerts to relatives or staff if a patient is endangered.

Abstract: In a general aspect, a mat is disclosed for forming a transition between two surfaces of different elevation. The mat includes a carpeted layer secured to a foam layer. The foam layer includes first, second, third and fourth sides that define a perimeter of the foam layer. The foam layer also includes first and second channels extending in-plane through the foam layer from the first side to the second side. The first and second channels are configured to allow the mat to fold around a first folding axis into a folded position. The foam layer additionally includes relief cuts extending in-plane through the foam layer from the third side to the fourth side. The relief cuts are configured to allow the mat to fold around a second folding axis into a rolled position. A fifth side of the foam layer is mated to the carpeted layer, and a sixth side of the foam layer defines an interior boundary of the mat when the mat is in the folded position.

Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing therapeutic treatment for symptoms associated with GERD and/or other digestive disorders and/or other medical conditions are described herein. In some embodiments, an apparatus includes a base support having a support element portion and an encasement portion. The support element portion has a first end portion, a second end portion and a top surface disposed at an angle relative to a bottom surface. The second end portion has a height greater than the first end portion. A support pillow member is fixedly coupled to the base support between at least a portion of the encasement portion and at least a portion the second end portion of the support element portion. The support pillow member, the support element portion and the encasement portion collectively define an interior region that includes a receiving portion configured to receive at least a portion of a user's arm therein.

Abstract: An orthopedic cushion includes a head support segment and a torso support segment. The head support segment has a width between first and second ends thereof. The torso support segment is connected to the head support segment at a middle region of the head support segment halfway between the first and second ends. The torso support segment has a width between first and second lateral edges thereof. The width of the torso support segment is less than the width of the head support segment to define a first well and a second well on either side of the torso support segment adjacent the head support segment. The first well is defined along the first lateral edge, and the second well is defined along the second lateral edge.

Abstract: An athletic training box that includes firm planar surfaces that transition to soft edges. On the outer surface of the athletic training box the soft edges transition directly from the outer surface into a rounded foam edge without a ridge, or substantial obstacle being presented to cause a safety hazard. An internal frame structure is provided within the athletic training box to support the planar surfaces receiving the force of the jump while also maintaining the “square” 90 degree angles, and thus the parallel jump surfaces of the athletic training box.

The second tubular pillow is preferably wider than the first tubular pillow and includes two straps. Methods of using the three pillows of the cushioned, resistive infant positioning system are presented that provide positioning, calming, and/or the prevention and/or the correction of head shape deformations.

The mattress may also include straps and cinches to aid in transportation of the mattress. The mattress may also include removable covers that aid in keeping the mattress clean.

The fabric strip spacing of the parallel foam slats allows for lateral compression to enhance support. The under mattress support is positioned below the mattress and above a box spring with the elongated polyurethane foam slats extended longitudinally from a portion of one side of the mattress to a portion of the other side of the mattress where the concave portion of a sagging or soft mattress appears in the normal course of use.

The present invention is lightweight, buoyant, adjustable for personal preference of flotation and comfort, and can be carried on the back in a way that is similar to a back-pack. The present invention is proposed in several different embodiments, each style having numerous seating positions.

Abstract: A diaper changing system utilizes a diaper holder member on which a diaper is to be positioned. Flaps extend outward from the holder member and are foldable over the diaper to maintain it in position on the holder member. The system also includes a unique baby supporting pad configured to be placed on the user's lap. The supporting pad can be utilized to maintain a diaper or in combination with the holder member supporting the diaper. A strap circumscribes the leg of the user to maintain the holder member and supporting pad on the user's leg. Once the supporting pad and/or the holding member, with diaper attached, is secured on the user's leg, the baby is placed on the diaper. The diaper is then wrapped around the baby and secured. The baby is removed from the system's components, which are then folded and compacted for storage and transport.

Abstract: A hygienic bench towel for covering an exercise bench before a user sits on the bench to protect the user from sweat, germs and contamination left by a previous user. The bench towel has a semi rigid handle which enables a user to move the towel form one bench to another without touching the contaminated side of the towel. Another advantage provided by the handle is that the user always knows which side of the towel should be placed against the workout bench The towel is provided with spaced apart tabs at that end of the towel which is draped over the back of the bench to allow the towel to conform to framework which may be present at the center of the back of the bench. The handle is located on the towel so that the tabs don't become contaminated when the towel is moved using the handle. When the user is finished with the towel, the user folds the towel using the uncontaminated tabs and places the towel in a bag for transport to laundry services.
