Coupling Part Inseparable From Bag Patents (Class 55/376)
  • Patent number: 4452618
Abstract: A suction cleaner having a motor fan unit and a casing having a dirt bag receiving compartment closed by a bag carrier in the form of a door and having a bag mount therein in the form of an air conduit extending from the motor fan unit. A dirt collecting bag can be disposed on each of the bag carrier and the bag mount. The bag carrier and the bag mount are relatively movable towards one another to automatically cause a latching assembly to secure a bag on the bag mount, with an opening of the bag in sealing engagement with the air conduit. The bag mount is movable between a bag unloading position away from said casing, and an operative position in which the bag is carried by the bag mount away from the bag carrier.

  • Patent number: 4381192
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner is provided with an improved filter bag which is attached to a fixed part of the vacuum cleaner by a removable base member. The base member is adapted to allow the ingress and egress of a pipe which transports a gaseous fluid to be filtered, to the interior of the bag. Seal means are also provided for holding the pipe in sealing engagement with the base member and bag.

  • Patent number: 4157964
Abstract: A filter system includes a tank with a removable cover at one end and a filter basket and liner therefor insertable into the tank to divide it into unfiltered liquid and filtered liquid zones. Inlet and outlet openings are disposed at the open and remaining end, respectively, of the tank with the inlet opening being in the side wall of the tank, near such open end, so as not to interfere with opening and closing of the cover. Inner and outer annuli are fixed to the tank side wall and face radially into the tank, with the inlet opening interposed axially therebetween. A spacer insertable into the tank comprises an annular inner disk pressable toward the inner annulus for gripping therebetween an inner resilient seal which in turn engages the adjacent edges of the filter basket and filter liner to prevent leakage therearound between the unfiltered and filtered liquid zones.

  • Patent number: 4116648
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner dust bag that is constructed to substantially increase the filtering action of the bag and therefore is particularly adaptable for use in vacuum cleaners utilized in hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care facilities. The filter dust bag is constituted of two concentric sections or compartments with the space of one of the compartments having a dry filter mat material that effectively traps all dust and dirt particles down to minute particles of about 0.3 microns. The tube on the filter dust bag which connects to the discharge outlet of the vacuum cleaner is constructed of an air-impervious material, while the outer and inner layers of the filter are fabricated of air-pervious material of different elasticity.

  • Patent number: 4061480
Abstract: An apparatus which uses suction to draw radioactive particles through a high efficiency filter and contains such filtered particles in a disposable bladder-filter unit for subsequent disposal. The bladder-filter unit prevents the escape of filtered radioactive particles to the ambient atmosphere during the operation of the apparatus and also during disposal, as well as preventing the radioactive contamination of the remainder of the apparatus.

  • Patent number: 3973936
Abstract: A vacuum cleaner filter bag is made of a porous sheet of material which permits penetration and flow therethrough of air. The bag is generally horseshoe-shaped and has a comparably shaped internal cavity. The bag has two tubular leg portions and a tubular connecting portion between the leg portions. An air inlet opening is provided on the connecting portion for admitting a stream of air under pressure into the cavity and an opening, which permits removal of accumulated debris but which is closed during use of the bag, is also provided on the connecting portion. The air flow between the air inlet opening on the vacuum cleaner housing and the inlet opening of an exhaust motor situated within the vacuum cleaner housing generally tends to primarily penetrate or flow through a wall portion of the bag disposed between the respective inlet air openings.

  • Patent number: 3933451
Abstract: A dust collecting bag with a central opening in the endwall thereof, which opening can be covered and uncovered by a cover flap hinged on the endwall of which it constitutes an integral part so that a portion of its free edge opposite the hinged mounting is positioned within the area of the opening. The central opening has at least one locking flap disposed along a portion of the edge opposite the hinged mounting of the cover flap and the portion of the free edge of the cover flap within the area of the opening has slits extending from the edge, with the portion of the cover flap defined by the slits being pivotable out of the plane defined by the remainder of the cover flap. The locking flap bridges the space between the cover flap and the edge of the opening.
