Abstract: A locking mechanism for a hurricane panel installation protectively covering a window of a building, the panel installation including a panel member sized to cover the window, a header attached to the building above the window for securing an upper edge of the panel member, and a lower F-track attached to the building below the window which supports attaching bolts which pass through and secure a lower edge of the panel member. The locking mechanism includes a padlock having a hasp securely positionable in a hasp receiving arrangement to prevent substantial movement of the lower edge of the panel member and unauthorized removal of the panel member.
Abstract: A colored heat-shrinkable label and labeling system including a key label and a lock label having a substantially cylindrical sleeve having an inner surface and an outer surface and formed of a colored heat shrink material of a size to fit around a head end of a key and a portion of a lock and to be shrunk to substantially encase the head end of the key (12), and a portion of a lock, forming a flat surface that can be written upon. The key label and the lock label being color coded to indicate that the key and the lock are associated with each other.
Abstract: A locking mechanism for securing such enclosures as vending machines is disclosed. A hasp is mounted on the interior of the enclosure and a mounting bracket having a flange and a lock hole is disposed on the exterior of the enclosure. To securely lock the enclosure, a hasp key is passed through an opening in the enclosure proximate the mounting bracket. One end of the hasp key includes an engagement mechanism that engages a hasp key aperture through the hasp. On the other end of the hasp key is a lock hole which is generally aligned with the lock hole on the exterior of the enclosure when the hasp key is engaged. A lock may then be disposed through the lock holes, limiting a would-be intruder's options to gain access to the inside of the enclosure. A sliding T-handle lock cover is also described. The sliding T-handle lock cover includes a flange and slides over a T-handle lock and aligns with a flange of a cover plate.

Abstract: A lock mechanism comprising a mounting part, a manually operable part, a retaining part and a stabilizer part, said parts being pivotally connected together as a substantially parallelogram linkage with the retaining part and mounting part located on opposed sides of such linkage; the manually operable part, retaining part and stabilizer part of the linkage being pivotable relative to the mounting part between a locking condition, in which the retaining part is intended to engage a component which is to be secured by the mechanism and further in which the operable part is substantially parallel with and lies adjacent to the mounting part, and a release condition, in which the retaining part is intended to be disengaged from said securable component; pivotal movement of the linkage between its locking and release conditions being effected by manual displacement of the operable part relative to the mounting part.
