Health Care Management (e.g., Record Management, Icda Billing) Patents (Class 705/2)
  • Patent number: 11823085
Abstract: Disclosed here are systems and methods that allow users to create and customize workflow tolerances. The designed tolerances define and set guidelines, such as parameters, limitations, and tolerances, for the expected values of a workflow's input and output actions. The disclosed systems and methods, upon identifying values that fall out of determined guidelines, may: notify users of such values, trigger processes that pause or stop the workflow, and require user approval before resuming the paused/stopped workflow. Embodiments may comprise machine learning components that identify incorrect/irregular values without prior user designation. Such systems and methods improve communication technology between the networks and servers of separate parties relevant and/or dependent on successful execution of other workflows and processes; allowing for effective understanding, implementation, and engagement of workflows and processes across organizational boundaries.

Abstract: Systems and methods assist in gathering relevant data in a doctor-patient encounter for obtaining a properly specified diagnosis code. In one embodiment, selectable data items which are provided as part of a medical charting program may be correlated with one or more standardized diagnosis codes (e.g. ICD-10 codes). Upon selection of the appropriate data items when charting a patient encounter, one or more diagnosis codes which are correlated with the selected data items may be flagged and/or generated for later use, such as for filing a claim submission as part of a billing process or to further enhance the clinical workflow of patient encounter documentation.

Abstract: Systems and method are provided for generating a record of a medical procedure. A system includes a processor and a non-transitory computer readable medium. The medium includes a graphical user interface configured to display a graphic representing an anatomical region of a patient and accept a gesture from a user comprising a selected procedure and, diagnosis when appropriate, and a location on the displayed anatomical region. A knowledge base stores a plurality of templates, each comprising a set of fields. A record generation engine selects an associated one of the plurality of templates according to each of the selected procedure and, diagnosis when appropriate, and the location on the displayed anatomical region and populates the set of fields associated with the selected template. A database interface formats the populated template into a database record suitable for an electronic health records database associated with the system.

  • Patent number: 11783951
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for generating a personalized action recommendation are provided. The method acquires a request for a service that is associated with a user and the user's condition. The method then identifies one or more features of the user based on stored user information. The method next assigns the user to a segment based on the identified one or more features, generates a set of one or more recommended actions for the user based on the segment, and determines an expected value of each of the one or more recommended actions. The method determines a rank of the one or more recommended actions based on the expected value of each of the one or more recommended actions, and outputs a recommended action with a highest expected value for the user in response to the request for the service.

Abstract: A method of automatically diagnosing pneumonia in a patient includes using an input/output interface device to obtain values of two or more diagnostic parameters of the patient from a caregiver for the patient. The method includes using a processor coupled to the input/output interface to apply the two or more diagnostic parameters to an electronic memory storing precompiled pneumonia diagnostic models to identify an optimal diagnostic model for making a diagnosis. The values of the two or more diagnostic signs are applied to the identified optimal diagnostic model to generate a diagnosis output. The input/output interface device is operated in accordance with the diagnosis output to indicate the presence or absence of pneumonia in the patient to the caregiver. The caregiver may use the diagnosis to provide appropriate care to the patient. The pneumonia diagnostic models are derived from investigation of a population of pneumonia positive and non-pneumonia subjects.

  • Patent number: 11775548
Abstract: Embodiments are directed towards generating a representative sampling as a subset from a larger dataset that includes unstructured data. A graphical user interface enables a user to provide various data selection parameters, including specifying a data source and one or more subset types desired, including one or more of latest records, earliest records, diverse records, outlier records, and/or random records. Diverse and/or outlier subset types may be obtained by generating clusters from an initial selection of records obtained from the larger dataset. An iteration analysis is performed to determine whether a sufficient number of clusters and/or cluster types have been generated that exceed at least one threshold and when not exceeded, additional clustering is performed on additional records. From the resultant clusters, and/or other subtype results, a subset of records is obtained as the representative sampling subset.
