Also, the method includes processing the request and generating a message, where the message contains at least one term or condition for the option to obtain a license or purchase at least one intangible asset, and further where the message contains a price for obtaining the option to obtain a license or purchase at least one intangible asset. In addition, the method includes transmitting the message to the communication device.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention relates to a crowd-sourcing invention development system (CIDS) and methods associated with the system to aid inventors, at no cost or at minimal cost, to develop their ideas and to file patent applications based on their ideas. According to embodiments of the invention, CIDS facilitates investment in an inventor's invention by exposing potential investors to inventions at preliminary stages of invention development, allowing investors to fund activities such as searching and patent application drafting and filing. Investors may continue to invest after patent application drafting. According to an embodiment of the invention, CIDS users may assist invention development or prior art searching by submitting relevant information via the CIDS website. A submitter may be rewarded by being granted rights or credits to be exchanged for rights in an invention submitted to the CIDS website.

Abstract: In accordance with some embodiments, systems and methods provide for assembling a patent package for a product by analyzing text descriptive of the product, determining a plurality of patents which are relevant to the product and determining a subset of the patents to be licensed patents and the remainder to be not licensed patents. In accordance with some embodiments a relevancy score may be determined for each of the patents determined to be relevant and a portion of a price for the patent package may be apportioned to each patent in the patent package based on the relevancy score of the patent. In accordance with some embodiments, the portion of the price for a patent may be determined to be a license royalty if the patent is a licensed patent and an amount of premium for future financial aid if the patent is a not licensed patent.

In one implementation, a processing device receives, from a first entity, a selection of a first media content item, the first media content item being associated with a media content provider. Abstract: Presented herein are systems and method for generating and/or using a classifier that can identify or classify entities, such as (by way of illustration and not limitation) whether an entity in a contested proceeding is a patent monetizing entity (PME). In embodiments, using features extracted from various sources such as, by way of example and not limitation, the entities' litigation behavior, the patents they asserted, and their presence on the web, a classifier can correctly separates PMEs from operating companies with a reasonable degree of accuracy. In embodiments, one or more classifier may be trained to classify or label entities into one of a plurality of classes. Such classifiers can be useful tools for policy makers and others, allowing them to gain a clearer picture of contested proceedings filed to date and assessing newly filed cases in real time.

Abstract: The invention discloses a system to score assets such as patents based on an event on which information is publicly available and is correlated to a number of intrinsic and extrinsic variables which characterize the assets. More specifically, the invention improves over the prior art by taking due account of yearly life expectancy statistics of patents of the same family in multiple jurisdictions where related patents owned by the same assignee have been filed. For doing so, the system of the invention provides a method to use statistical models of the semi-parametric type such as Cox proportional hazard models or the parametric type, such as Weibull accelerated failure models.
