Abstract: Embodiments of the invention address deficiencies of the art in respect to user interface control groups and provide a method, system and computer program product for rendering a set of user interface controls with dynamic content in a GUI. In one embodiment, the invention can include a data processing system including a set of user interface controls and control data including a set of cumulative selection metrics for each user interface control in the set. Each user interface control in the set, in turn, can include a label and an indicator of cumulative metrics for the user interface control. For instance, the set of user interface controls can include a set of radio buttons in a radio button control group. As another example, the set of user interface controls can include a set of check boxes in a check box control group.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for selecting components to include in portions of a displayable file. Selecting the components may include determining an order of the components for each portion of the displayable file. The components' order for a given portion may be based on a score for each component, where a component's score is based on an estimated value and standard error associated with the component. The component to include in each portion of the displayable file may be selected based at least in part on the determined component order for each portion and a predetermined priority of each portion.

Abstract: A method of disabling a locking screen of an electronic device is provided. The method includes selecting at least two objects among at least three objects each having a unique color, determining whether at least one of a color order and a rotation direction of the selected at least two objects matches a pre-set color order and a pre-set rotation direction, and disabling a locking screen upon determining the match with at least one of the pre-set color order and the pre-set rotation direction.

Abstract: Multidimensional search capabilities are enabled on a non-PC (personal computer) device being utilized by a user. An original query submitted by the user via the non-PC device is received. A structured data repository is accessed to extract structured data that is available for the original query, where the extracted structured data represents attributes of the original query. The extracted structured data is provided to the user in the form of a hierarchical menu which allows the user to interactively modify the original query, such modification resulting in a revised query.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for manipulating folder and file icons on a screen of an electronic device. A folder icon representing a folder is displayed on a screen, in a first mode, at a first location on the screen. The folder may contain a plurality of individual files and the folder icon is configured to indicate the plurality of individual files. An activation event is detected comprising a movement from the first location on the screen to a second location on the screen. In response to detecting the activation event, the folder icon is displayed on the screen along with icons representing the individual files on the screen. The screen may display the icons of the individual files as fanning out from the folder icon and/or may display the icons of the individual files entirely outside of the folder icon.

Abstract: A system comprising a client application configured to receive input targeting an identifier of a first page history entry, and obtain, from a client-side memory, the first page history entry and generate a second page history entry comprising a second resource location and a second client-side parameter. The client application is further configured to store the second page history entry in the client-side memory and send, to a server application, a request comprising the first resource location retrieved from the first page history entry. The client application is further configured to receive first resource data from the server application in response to the request, apply the client-side parameter to the first resource data to obtain reformed first resource data, and generate a second page comprising the reformed first resource data and the page history list listing an identifier of the second page history entry.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses, including computer program products, are described for dynamically generating a mobile application. A server receives a request from a mobile device to launch an application on the mobile device. The server generates a configuration file based on the launched application. The server transmits the configuration file to the mobile device for generation of a user interface of the launched application using the configuration file. The user interface includes a first display area using browser functionality of the mobile device to display one or more web page elements formatted by the server to appear as native to the mobile device. The user interface further includes a second display area having one or more interface elements that are native to an operating system of the mobile device.

Abstract: A method for display-independent recognition of a graphical user interface (GUI) control, the method comprising capturing a screenshot of a GUI of a computerized application, determining a cursor position in the screenshot, analyzing an area surrounding the cursor position, to identify a GUI control, and storing an image of the GUI control.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a current set of characters in response to a sequence of user commands. The current set of characters includes a current sequence of words. A respective word in the current sequence of words includes one or more characters in the current set of characters. The user commands include character entry commands. Additional user commands that specify characters to delete from the current set of characters and characters to add to the current set of characters are received. Replay recommendations for additional words to be added to the current set of characters in accordance with one or more deleted words that correspond to the deleted characters are provided.

Abstract: A menu displaying apparatus and method in a portable terminal are provided. In the menu displaying apparatus, a select image buffer stores select images, and an unselect image buffer stores unselect images. A controller reads a select image for a selected menu from the select image buffer, displays the select image together with a title text of the selected menu at a predetermined position in a menu region, reads unselect menu images for unselected menus from the unselect image buffer, and displays the unselect menu images together with title texts of the unselected menus at predetermined positions in the menu region.

Abstract: The described technology provides a method and device for data screening, and solves the technical problem that the user needs to return to the check box interface to reset the screen element and thus the operation steps are cumbersome. The method for data screening comprises: screening raw data according to a first screen element to obtain a first result subset, the first result subset belonging to the raw data and being corresponding to the first screen element; displaying the first result subset and an element list and receiving a second screen element selected by a user according to the element list; screening the first result subset according to the second screen element to obtain a second result subset, the second result subset belonging to the raw data and being corresponding to the second screen element; displaying the second result subset. For example, the push notifications can be used to update two or more icon panels associated with the same application or two or more panels (i.e., sides) of a three-dimensional icon. In one embodiment, one or more push notifications can be used to independently update content on the panels. In another embodiment, a user can choose settings to assign panels that are to be updated using push notifications. A third party server can be automatically informed of an identification for the panel so that future push notifications incorporate the identification information.

Objects in at least one of the acquired images are computationally identified. An indication of the initially selected object is provided to a user. At least one user input indicative of an object selected for processing is received. Dimensional data for the object indicated by the received user input is computationally determined.

Abstract: Token detection at a single computing platform may be linked with a user identification to unlock content and/or effectuate modifications in virtual space instances presented via multiple computing platforms, in accordance with one or more implementations. Exemplary implementations may enhance consistency in a user's experiences of a virtual space across multiple computing platforms.

Abstract: The present invention relates to navigation in a browser, such as a web browser. In a first embodiment, a system creates a new tab in a browser. The system includes a new tab module that generates a new tab page. The new tab page includes navigation options customized to a user. The new tab module sends a signal to display the new tab page to the user in the new tab on the browser. In a second embodiment, a computer-implemented method for displaying a bookmarks toolbar. A user input is received signaling the user's intent to navigate to a new site. A toolbar is displayed with buttons to navigate to bookmarked pages in response to the user input.

Electronic information associated with the rendered document is applied to determine the system's actions and/or behaviors in response to the data capture. In some embodiments, the electronic information is markup data or an action map associated with the rendered document. In some implementations, tokens may be detected based on signals received from token readers associated with individual ones of the multiple client computing platforms. A given token may be a standalone physical object. The given token may be detectable based on a signal conveying information associated with the given token. Abstract: The multi-party conversation analyzer of the present invention allows users to search a database of recorded phone calls to find calls which fit user-defined criteria for “suspicious calls”. Such criteria may include indications that a call included a 3-way call event, presence of an unauthorized voiced during the call, presence of the voice of an individual known to engage in identity theft, etc. A segment of speech within a call may be graphically selected and a search for calls with similar voices rapidly initiated. Searches across the database for specified voices are speeded by first searching for calls which contain speech from cohort speakers with similar voice characteristics.

The list of items is filtered according to the selected filter category and displayed in the view without changing to any other view. Subsequently added visual depictions are linearly stacked in the view. Further, a filter modification overlay, which provides selectable filtering attributes, is displayed upon selection of a visual depiction.

Abstract: An object is implemented to represent a visual element in a user interface while being linked to data associated with the visual element. A user can manipulate the visual element through the user interface to modify the object or how the object is processed. The data associated with the visual element tracks with the modifications to the visual element and/or object to permit the data to conceptually move with the visual element. The object may be implemented using a document object model in a web browser. The object may be assigned to a user interface component that may treat the object differently in dependence upon the user manipulations. The visual element may be formed using HTML and the user manipulations may be implemented using a script.

Abstract: Methods and system for processing a game slice of a game includes presenting a plurality of games on a display. Each game is associated with a plurality of game slices and each game slice is a pre-selected portion of the game. Passive selection activity is detected proximate to an initial image of a game. In response, a primary video segment of a game slice of the game is rendered. During the rendering of the primary video segment, active selection activity is detected for the primary video segment. The active selection activity causes executable code of the game slice to be loaded to allow playing of an unlocked subset of the game within the game slice. The plays of the unlocked subset of the game within the game slice are recorded to define secondary video segments. The secondary video segments are posted for sharing with users of a social network.

The display instruction indicates which columns, etc. are to be reformatted.
