Abstract: The disclosed technology generally relates to an application programming interface (API) and user interface (UI) that can translate user communication into an interactive message that is displayed on the UI. In at least one embodiment, a mobile application uses a sentence builder to translate data structures into an interactive message (e.g., an editable sentence). A UI can display the interactive message in a first portion (e.g., “upper portion”) of a UI, and display user selectable objects for adding information to the interactive message in a second portion (e.g., “lower portion”). For example, as a customer makes choices for a food order, ingredients as emojis can appear and disappear in sentence form from a UI based on customer preferences and inputs.

Abstract: A method comprising receiving, as input, a data stream representing events; receiving a complex event pattern (CEP) specification representing an occurrence of a CEP in said data stream based on a set of conditions and set of event attributes; applying an algorithm to generate a current CEP plan configured to determine said occurrence of said CEP, wherein said current CEP plan comprises of a series of execution steps; optimize said current CEP plan by, iteratively: (i) executing said current CEP plan, (ii) identifying, with respect to each of said execution steps, one of said conditions whose verification causes said execution step to be included in said current CEP plan, and (iii) performing a re-verification of all of said identified conditions using said updated current values; and re-applying said algorithm when said re-verification fails with respect to at least one of said identified conditions, to generate an updated CEP plan.

Abstract: Data processing systems and methods, according to various embodiments, are adapted for efficiently processing data to allow for the streamlined assessment of risk ratings for one or more vendors. In various embodiments, the systems/methods may use one or more particular vendor attributes (e.g., as determined from scanning one or more webpages associated with the particular vendor) and the contents of one or more completed privacy templates for the vendor to determine a vendor risk rating for the particular vendor. As a particular example, the system may scan a website associated with the vendor to automatically determine one or more security certifications associated with the vendor and use that information, along with information from a completed privacy template for the vendor, to calculate a vendor risk rating that indicates the risk of doing business with the vendor.

Abstract: Provided are a patient monitor and vital-sign data statistics system, having vital-sign data statistics functionality. The patient monitor includes a signal acquisition module, a data processing module, and a display module. The data processing module processes the vital-sign signal acquired by the signal acquisition module and generates physiological parameters. If request information requesting to display a vital-sign data statistics result is received, then the data processing module statistically classifies the vital-sign data within a preset time range according to set type and a statistical item of each type, and displays the data by means of the display module.

Abstract: Embodiments for improved data structuring for computer devices that provides efficient organization and navigation in a user interface in order to increase the amount and type of content that can be presented to a user, particularly with regard to small displays. For example, by emphasizing how data relates to other data (e.g., emphasizing the organizational structure) during navigation as opposed to after navigation, the embodiments provide an intuitive user interface for devices that indicates the relationship between data without the need for additional on-screen objects.

User's input of a first information, a second information, and a third information is received. The system identifies an information type associated with each received information. The second information is integrated into the first query. If the second information and the third information are associated with the same information type, a second query is created that combines that second information and the third information to retrieve media asset identifiers according to instructions associated with the second information type. The first information is integrated into the second query.

Abstract: A technique for contact list aggregation across networks involves logging into low level networks through a high level network. A system constructed according to the technique may include a network interface coupled to the different low level networks. The system may further include a contact aggregation engine coupled to the network interface and a network contacts database. In operation the system logs into one or more of the low level networks (or facilitates login for a user). To the extent that the data in the network contacts database is not current, the contact aggregation engine updates the networks contacts database contact information, then provides an aggregated contact list including the contact information to a display device. A method according to the technique may include logging into a high level network and displaying contacts from the one or more low level networks in an aggregated contact list.

In one aspect, a method includes generating a primary data vector for a media file based on a stored data representation of the file, and providing the data vector for the file to an algorithm that uses past interaction information for at least one other media file from a collection of media files having a degree of similarity with the media file above a threshold similarity value. The method also includes receiving, as an output of the algorithm, a marketability score for the media file, the score indicative of a likelihood that a user will download the media file. Systems and machine-readable media are also provided.

Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, and other techniques for rendering content in a 3D environment. In some implementations the system includes a memory subsystem, a communications interface, a rendering engine, an input handling apparatus, and a virtual object manager. The memory subsystem is configured to store first data that (i) defines a three-dimensional (3D) environment and (ii) identifies a virtual object in the 3D environment. The communications interface is configured to transmit requests over a network for third-party content to display with the virtual object in the 3D environment and to receive third-party content responsive to the requests. Abstract: Methods for classifying computer objects as malware and the associated apparatus are disclosed. An exemplary method includes, at a base computer, receiving data about a computer object from each of plural remote computers on which the object or similar objects are stored and or processed and counting the number of times in a given time period objects having one or more common attributes or behaviors that have been seen by the remote computers. The counted number is then compared with the expected number based on past observations, and if the comparison exceeds a predetermined threshold, the objects are flagged as unsafe or as suspicious.

Abstract: Systems and methods for discovering and annotating geo-fences from geo-referenced data are disclosed. The systems and methods input an area of interest containing a plurality of geo-referenced points having associated labels, and divides the area interest into cells. Each cell is assigned an initial label from among the plurality of labels and hierarchical clustering is used to find clusters of cells having a common label based on a maximization of an objective function for each cell with the objective function being dependent upon favoring spatially adjacent cells having a common label and limiting overgeneralization of the common label.

Abstract: A system and method for menu-based navigation to view audio and/or visual media is disclosed. A user can navigate through a menu system by moving a cursor between various showcases listed in a second display area of a screen. When the user selects a category, the menu changes to display sub-categories within the category in a first area of the screen. The second display area can display information about available media items within a selected category or sub-category. A third display area can display additional information about the selected media item. There can also be a display area where a user can create a filter within a selected category or sub-category. The menu selections can contain images representative of categories. The categories can be genres of movies or music. Other embodiments are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: Techniques for administering a care plan. Embodiments receive the care plan specifying observation metrics to monitor biometric data collected from a patient. At least one monitoring device available is identified and embodiments receive biometric data collected using the at least one monitoring device, where the biometric data is initially classified as a first type of event by the at least one monitoring device. Additionally, embodiments analyze the received biometric data to reclassify the first event as an occurrence of a second type of even, and, upon determining that the occurrence of the second type of event satisfies at least one threshold condition specified in the care plan, initiate at least one treatment plan specified in the care plan and corresponding to the satisfied at least one threshold value.
