Publication number: 20110214548Abstract: The present invention discloses a board cutting device, which comprises a base frame, a push stem, a blade, a first one-direction driving mechanism, and a second one-direction driving mechanism. One end of the push stem is linked with the base frame, and there is a handle at the other end. The blade is attached on the push stem and is able to simultaneously revolve with the push stem relative to the base frame. The middle portion of the blade is a protruded cutting arc. The first one-direction driving mechanism is utilized to adjust the angle between the push stem and the blade automatically, and the second one-direction driving mechanism can be utilized to control the automatic positioning of the downward cutting blade. Therefore, the blade can avoid arbitrary departing from the prep board and the device is able to achieve the object of better manipulation, less strenuous effort, and more accurate cutting.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 8, 2010Publication date: September 8, 2011Inventor: Chiang Tung Shih

Patent number: 5997461Abstract: A novel dunnage-creating machine and methodology characterized by various features including, inter alia, a modular construction, easier access to interior components, and a low cost cutting assembly. The machine comprises front and rear units having separate housings. The housing of the rear unit includes an outer shell having a converging chute surrounding a shaping member over which sheet-like stock material is drawn to form the stock material into a three-dimensional shape. The front unit includes in the housing thereof a feed mechanism for drawing the stock material over the shaping member and stitching the shaped material to form a strip of dunnage product. The front unit also includes a manual cutting mechanism for cutting the strip to form cut pieces, which manual cutting mechanism includes a readily replaceable blade assembly.Type: GrantFiled: August 20, 1998Date of Patent: December 7, 1999Assignee: Ranpak Corp.Inventors: Steven E. Patent number: 4416104Abstract: A clamping mechanism for an impulse sealer includes a pair of drive arms pivoted on a flat base member and a pressure arm pivoted about the same pivot between the drive arms. Complimentary pressure members are located at the free ends of the drive arms and pressure arm for clamping a member to be heat sealed. A pair of levers are pivoted intermediate their ends on the drive arms between the clamping member and the pivot. The levers are comprised of two arms disposed at oblique angles relative to each other with the end of the lower arm sliding on the flat surface of the base member. The free end of the upper arm of the lever is connected to the pressure arm at a point between the clamping member and the pivot by means of a connecting rod so that depression of the drive arm will cause the ends of the lower lever arm to slide along the surface of the base member.Type: GrantFiled: September 21, 1981Date of Patent: November 22, 1983Assignee: Fuji Manufacturing Company LimitedInventor: Teruo Yamada

Patent number: 4213365Abstract: A fluid piston actuated press is provided with a fixed portion, such as a die, and a plurality of movable portions, such as punches, which move reciprocally along paths which intersect the fixed portion. A plurality of levers, actuated by an actuating means, engage the movable portions to cause them to move along their paths intersecting the fixed portion.Type: GrantFiled: March 16, 1978Date of Patent: July 22, 1980Inventor: Francis J. McCabe

Patent number: 4004480Abstract: A fluid piston actuated press is provided with a lever arm having multiple bearing means for transmitting and amplifying the force exerted by a piston to the movable parts of the press and work piece. A novel fulcrum bearing is provided which ensures that frictionally induced shearing forces are counteracted. This is achieved by allowing the bearing to reciprocate along an axis which is acute with respect to the stroke axis. Additional means are provided to adjust the degree of amplification and stroke of the movable part without altering the stroke of the fluid piston. A novel arrangement of component parts is described which allows easy accessibility to the work area and great flexibility of application.Type: GrantFiled: January 21, 1976Date of Patent: January 25, 1977Inventor: Francis J.
