  • Patent number: 10759015
Abstract: A method and a system for machining a work piece by a machining tool are provided. The method includes relatively moving the machining tool against the work piece to apply machining feeds therebetween. The contact points at the work piece are arranged on the area of the work piece to be machined, and the contact points at the machining tool form a curve on the machining tool surface. The system includes a manipulator, a machining tool and a controller being adapted for controlling the manipulator to operate the machining tool according to the method as above. With this solution, the system can generate wave paths of a machining tool, so as to extend the life of the tool and ensure the processing quality.

Abstract: The problem of penetrating through nets and other objects is solved by cutting the object using concentric cutters in which a rotatable cutter having floating teeth rotates concentrically about a stationary cutter having fixed teeth. The object is cut by a severing action caused by the floating teeth of the rotatable cutter sliding against the fixed teeth of the stationary cutter. Embodiments of the invention include a UUV system for penetrating through fishing nets and other objects, concentric cutting assemblies for use in the UUV system and other systems, and a method for penetrating through fishing nets and other objects. A UUV system in accordance with an embodiment of the invention has a concentric cutting assembly at the forward end and a propulsor at the aft end. The concentric cutting assembly integrates seamlessly within the UUV housing and is deployed from the forward end of the UUV, enabling the UUV to quickly and efficiently penetrate through objects blocking its path.

Abstract: A Window covering cutter has its base board installed with a first clamping device for clamping a Window covering, and a knife device that is positioned next to the first clamping device, having a cutting opening, a driving plate movably fixed at a side of the cutting opening, and a knife fixed on the driving plate to reciprocate transversely to cut the Window covering. A measuring device is set at one side of the knife device for stably positioning the Window covering and measuring a length between its blocking plate and the cutting opening, providing a swift and precise measurement for cutting. So, the invention can be easily operated to esthetically cut a Window covering.

Abstract: Complex workpieces, particularly aeronautical parts made of solid stock presenting a bottom wall and at least one stiffening rib transverse to the bottom wall, are machined using a device having a tool head furnished with a transmission component rotatable about a relative longitudinal axis, and a tool, typically a milling cutter, connected to the transmission component and capable of piercing the transverse rib. The longitudinal axis of the tool is disposed obliquely to the longitudinal axis of the transmission component so that the stiffening rib can be pierced at a point close to the bottom wall of the workpiece. The device also incorporates a feeler mechanism associated with the tool head and designed to engage the bottom wall during the movement of the tool toward the machining location, in such a way that the position of the tool head can be actively controlled and the tool deployed at a selected distance from the bottom wall.
