Abstract: A trephine-type dental drill for polishing the external cylindrical surface of a dental implant in a mouth. The drill includes a shank for mounting upon a dental drill drive, and a mount affixed the shank for mounting an abrasive element. The abrasive element has a hollow circular bore defined by a bore wall which is coated with an abrasive material. The inner bore wall is sized to closely fit and rotationally polish the external cylindrical surface of the dental implant installed within a mouth.
Abstract: A drain clearing device having a transparent and hollow cylindrical body, a piston plunger assembly partially disposed in the cylindrical body, piston plunger assembly support attached to an upper end of the cylindrical body, and a drain seal attached to a lower end of the cylindrical body. The drain seal is formed from medium density, closed cell sponge rubber.
Abstract: A manually-controllable tool for abrading close spaces when preparing a surface for receipt of varnishes, paint and the like. In one embodiment of the abrading tool abrasive materials of different coarseness grades are fixedly attached to the respective ends of a stick handle. In another embodiment of the abrading tool abrasive material is selectively fed through a mechanical pencil device.
Abstract: A pet carrier that can be selectively converted to a pet jacket. The pet carrier includes a flexible bag-like body member having a neck brace at a forward end, a torso support portion and a hind leg support portion at a rearward end. A pair of strap handles are attached to respective sides of the body member. The pet carrier is converted to a pet jacket by reversing and folding the rearward end of the body member over the forward end of the body member.
Abstract: A decorative venetian blind window security system that can be readily removed for emergency exit is disclosed. The security system includes a plurality of blind slats disposed within a frame assembly that receive locking rods through elongated openings formed in the blind slats. The locking rods can be selectively locked within the blind slats from the inside of the frame assembly. The blind slats can be selectively locked against rotational and transverse movement by locking means attached to the frame assembly.
Abstract: A method for improving a person's skill in playing a known one player adventure video game in which a television screen is used to display a video tape of a player or computer, for example, playing through all levels of the video game. By stress reduction associated with teaching escapes, the person's skill for playing the video game increases dramatically especially upon playing the game immediately after having observed a player playing the game through all levels of play. Subliminal and/or audio messages on the video tape describing what actions are being taken by the player at each level of play of the video game further increases a person's skill for playing the video game.
Abstract: An information binder provides secure attachment of pages in an expandable binder. The information binder has a top cover, a bottom cover and a rigid spine portion. A plurality of V-shaped members are attached to the rigid spine portion and selectively receive information pages in sealing engagement.
Abstract: A vehicle trunk compartment lid holder to retain the trunk lid in selective partially-opened positions. The trunk lid holder includes an L-shaped central bar member, a first clamp slidably and rotatably attached to the vertical leg of the central bar member, and a second clamp rotatably attached to the horizontal leg of the central bar member. The first clamp selectively engages the trunk lid and the second clamp selectively engages the body of the trunk compartment. First clamp can be selectively locked at various positions along the vertical leg of the central bar member.
Abstract: A ventilated pet litter box for use in a closed space includes a litter receptacle, a receptacle cover, a vibration-damped exhaust fan communicating with the receptacle cover and a wall orifice attachment, and a wall orifice attachment to discharge ventilating forced-air to outside of the closed space.
Abstract: A medical compress for hot or warm moist heat treatment. The compress is a multi-layered structure having a body of absorbent material sandwiched between a porous, liquid permeable layer and a liquid impermeable, heat-retentive layer, and a plurality of adhesive tabs disposed about the periphery of the compress. The heat-retentive layer maintains the compress at a desired temperature for the period of a treatment cycle. The compress is preferably biodegradable and microwavable to eliminate the bulky equipment now used in hydroculator therapy.
Abstract: A convertible apparatus that can be used as an infant carrier, a car seat and a stroller. The apparatus includes a carrier body selectively attachable to a carrier body base attachable to car seat belts, a stroller handle assembly attached to the carrier body, and a stroller wheel assembly attached to the carrier body base.
Abstract: A boat mounting device for fishing accessories. The device includes a boat attachment bracket and a fishing accessory bracket. The fishing accessory bracket is rotatably receivable in the boat attachment bracket in a manner permitting 360.degree. lateral rotation of the fishing accessory bracket relative to the boat attachment bracket.
Abstract: A shoulder strap securing device which selectively engages the shoulder straps of suspenders at one end and the shirt collar or necktie at the opposite end.
Abstract: A method of automatic coffee brewing which reduces the amount of coffee required. A finely-meshed coffee basket containing coffee grounds is automatically lowered into a coffee pot and stored water fills the pot. A heating element brings the water to a boil and the coffee grounds are then steeped in the water to more efficiently extract the flavorings from the coffee grounds. The coffee basket is automatically raised as directed by a timer included in the coffee maker.
Abstract: An extended neckwear shirt button attachment device providing means to hold said neckwear in a stationary position at the front of a shirt or blouse, said attachment device comprising a base member and a button attachment member slidably attached to the base member. The button attachment member includes a buttonhole formed therein which selectively engages a button of the shirt or blouse of the wearer. The base member can be fixedly attached to the neckwear by adhesive means of by being sewn to the neckwear.
Abstract: A mobile recycling cart having a plurality of vertically stacked selectively-removable shelves on which are selectively stored a number of waste materials baskets. The baskets are removable from the cart and may be manually carried to a recycling source in a home or an office and then returned to the cart. Alternately, the cart may be wheeled to and left at curbside for pick-up of the recyclables. The cart is simple to assemble, easy to use and completely safe, when properly used.
