Abstract: A hydraulic pressure reservoir having at least one pressure chamber formed between two opposed, movable inner boundary members. Each inner boundary members includes a spring cover and a diaphragm spring. An outer boundary member peripherally surrounds the movable inner boundary members and has a U-shaped cross section along at least a part of its periphery to axially support the diaphragm springs in a fixed axial position. The outer boundary member can be formed in several pieces that are held together by interconnections or by a surrounding outer tensioning member.

Abstract: A positive-displacement pump having an eccentrically positioned internal ring gear and pinion within a pump housing. Pressurized operating fluid is provided by the pump to actuate an actuation piston of a clutch unit, such as a double clutch unit. The clutch unit is drivingly coupled with the pump for movement between engaged and disengaged positions. At least one throughbore is provided in the pump housing within which throughbore the clutch actuation piston is guided.

Abstract: An adjusting device including a CVT planetary roller transmission having two axially-spaced sun wheels that are rotatable about a common axis of rotation and at different speeds of rotation. Planet wheels contact and ride against peripheral surfaces of each of the sun wheels, and an axially displaceable ring wheel lies radially outwardly of the sun wheels and engages a peripheral groove formed in the sun wheels. When the ring wheel is axially displaced relative to the sun wheels the axes of rotation of the planet wheels tilt relative to the sun wheel axis resulting in a difference in the rotational speed of the sun wheels changes. The device can be employed as an adjusting device for adjusting the rotational speed of connected units, and also as a drive line component having a variable transmission ratio and situated in a power train of a motor vehicle.

A shaft is rotatably supported in a bearing that includes a bearing outer ring with a cylindrical outer surface, wherein the bearing is supported in a bearing housing. At least one cam ring is positioned between the bearing housing inner surface and the bearing outer ring outer surface. The cam ring is elastically deformable to allow limited radial movement between the bearing housing inner surface and the bearing outer ring outer surface.

Abstract: A plate-link chain for a motor vehicle drive system. The chain includes a number of link plates hingedly connected with each other by rocker members that extend transversely to the longitudinal direction of the plate-link chain and are positioned in openings of the link plates. Curved-shaped contact surfaces are located on each of the rocker members and link plates, along which contact surfaces the rocker members and link plates are in contact with each other to transmit power. The rocker members are shaped asymmetrically in the height direction of the rocker members, relative to a cross section extending in the longitudinal direction of the plate-link chain. The link plate openings include at least one region that is curved in an inward direction, to prevent incorrect orientation of the rocker members during assembly of the chain.

One rocker member of a hinged connection is connected to the plates of a set of plates through a connection opening, and two rocker members of neighboring sets of plates form the hinged connection. The rocker members can roll against each other at a roller profile, and the set of plates includes at least one guide plate. The rocker member includes a guide profile that is connected to a rocker profile through a first connecting profile and a second connecting profile. The guide plate has at least one connection opening which has an undercut or recess in the region of the first and/or second connecting profile.

Abstract: A power-branched, continuously variable vehicle transmission includes a CVT variable speed drive that is connected to an input shaft through a planetary gear train and to an output shaft through a multistage gearbox. In an alternative embodiment, one variable speed drive shaft of the variable speed drive is connected to an input shaft, and the variable speed drive shafts are connected to an output shaft through a planetary gear train module. The power-branched transmission is compactly constructed, but permits a high start-up torque and enables a wide transmission ratio spread.

Abstract: Structures of automatic vehicle transmissions are described which have a planetary gear train connected to an input shaft. The planetary gear train is connected through a CVT variable speed drive that includes two variable speed drive shafts and through at least one gear pairing to an output shaft. Rotationally fixed connections corresponding to different gear ranges are producible between shafts of the transmission through gear pairings and or shaft connections provided with clutches.

Abstract: Apparatus for measuring tension or a tension alteration in a paper web. At least one measurement device includes a number of measurement bodies and a number of fluid supply devices, which are intended to apply a fluid pressure to the web. The fluid supply devices are so arranged as to subject the web to an essentially constant fluid pressure in order to provide a fluid cushion between the web and the measurement bodies. The measurement bodies are so arranged as to apply pressure to the web without making contact and are so arranged to be capable of displacement. The position of the measurement bodies in the normal direction of the web is altered depending upon variations in the constitution of the web. A method for measuring web tension and a machine including apparatus for measuring web tension are also disclosed.

Abstract: A pigment-based ink composition including a colorant, a cyclic amide represented by the formula: wherein R is at least one of CH3, C2H5, C3H9, C4H9, C5H11, C6H13, C7H15, and C8H17, and together with the N atom to which it is attached forms a 5 member ring; an organic solvent; an amine; a biocide; first and second surfactants; and water. The ink is utilized in inkjet printing, it does not include resins or polymers, and it provides substantially permanent images on both porous and nonporous substrates.

Abstract: A belt-driven conical-pulley transmission having a shaft on the input end and a shaft on the power output end. One of the shafts includes at least one axial bore extending in the longitudinal direction of the shaft, and a transverse bore extending from the axial bore to an outlet on the surface of the shaft. A conical disk pair is carried on the shaft and includes an axially fixed disk and an axially movable disk. The axially movable disk includes internal teeth that engage with external teeth on the shaft, and it overlies the transverse bore outlet over its entire axial travel distance. The transverse bore outlet is positioned in the region of the interengaging teeth.

Abstract: A method for the manufacture of extended steel products. The steel product is initially contaminated by oils and by at least one of organic and inorganic particles that are suspended or dissolved in the oils. Following the shaping of the steel product by working but before the subsequent treatment of the steel product, burners emit exhaust gases that interact directly with the surface of the steel product. The burners are driven by an oxidant that contains at least 80% oxygen by weight, whereby oils that are present on the product are vaporized and combusted. The exhaust gases interact with the surface of the steel product with a speed that is sufficiently high to blow away organic and/or inorganic particles from the surface of the steel product.

The method and apparatus make it possible to simply and very quickly make available an adequate amount of working fluid at the required pressure to at least one clutch, according to the driving situation, in order to close the clutch.

Abstract: A power-branched transmission having a plurality of transmission ratio ranges and having a continuously variable transmission ratio. The transmission includes at least one drive shaft operatively connected to an engine with a rotationally fixed connection, a power divider, a variable speed drive, and an output shaft. The power divider is a planetary gear train and the drive shaft is directly coupled with the internal ring gear of the planetary gear train. Also disclosed is a shift system for such a transmission and a variable speed drive unit clutch arrangement.

Abstract: A power-split transmission having several ranges of transmission ratios with continuously variable speed reductions. A drive shaft is connected to two shafts of a variable speed drive unit via a distributor gear whose shafts are in turn connected with the input shafts of a parallel gearbox via respective clutches. Two ranges of ratios only differ from each other through the reduction of the input shaft of the parallel gearbox and their output shafts. An additional embodiment includes a variable speed drive unit, a first planetary drive that is connected with a drive shaft, an input shaft of the variable speed drive unit and a connecting shaft, as well as a second planetary drive that is connected with the connecting shaft of the output shaft of the variable speed drive unit, and an output shaft and an electric motor that is nonrotatably connected with the connecting shaft.
