Two control clutches connect the variable speed drive unit and the gear system so that when going through the entire transmission ratio range of the power-branched transmission the adjustment range of the variable speed drive unit is passed through a plurality of times. The transmission also includes rotational speed sensors and a controller that determines whether a change in rotational speed is triggered by a change in the transmission ratio, and when it is not triggered by a change in the transmission ratio, the controller adjusts the variable speed drive unit so that the change in rotational speed not triggered by a change in the transmission ratio is compensated.

An intermediate pressure plate is positioned between the friction linings of the clutch discs and is non-rotatably connected to the engine drive shaft. The friction linings of the clutch discs are between the intermediate pressure plate and respective axially movable clutch pressure plates that are actuated by an actuation device. To provide support for the double clutch unit the intermediate pressure plate is radially mounted on one of the two transmission input shafts.

    Abstract: A method of heat treating stainless steel in the form of blanks, piping, tubing, strip, or wire-like material, after rolling the material, and in a heat treatment furnace at a temperature higher than about 900° C. The material is subjected to a preheating stage and a final heating stage, wherein in the preheating stage flames from burners are directed toward the surface of the material to impinge on the surface. Burners situated in the preheating stage are supplied with a fuel that burns with the aid of an oxidizing gas that contains gaseous oxygen. The material is held in the preheating stage long enough to obtain at least some degree of oxidation on the surface of the material, and the material is heated further in a following, final heating stage by burners situated in a furnace and that are supplied with a fuel and an oxidizing gas.

At least one fuel supply conduit and at least one oxidant supply conduit is provided, each conduit having an opening that opens on a side of the burner head that faces the furnace interior space. Fuel and oxidant are supplied to the burner head, and a light detector for detecting ultraviolet light, or other light wavelengths, is provided for detecting light that indicates the presence of a flame. A laser is positioned to emit a laser beam onto a point on the burner head adjacent the conduit outlets and to heat that point to a temperature exceeding the ignition temperature of the fuel/oxidant mixture. When the burner has ignited, the detector emits a signal to a control circuit that extinguishes the laser beam.

After telescopically extending the inner part of the bridge, the outer part is swung downward and is telescopically extended to an end position at which the cabin is docked against the aircraft body.
