  • Patent number: 6640814
Abstract: A shield holder has a manually-engageable handle on its lower end and a spoon-shaped panel on its upper end. It is curved from top to bottom. The shield holder releaseably holds a mascara shield made of soft, flexible sheet material provided with repositionable pressure-sensitive adhesive. The mascara shield is held under the eyelashes when mascara is being applied to avoid deposit of the mascara on the skin below the eyes. The handle is long enough and curved enough to hold the shield in place when it is positioned by hand, without interfering with the mascara-applying hand.

  • Patent number: 6637299
Abstract: An elongated wrench handle has a yoke at each end. A wrench head is pivotally mounted in each yoke, and each wrench head has two sets of wrenching surfaces. The wrench head can be rotated in its yoke to expose, in an outer operative position, either of the wrenching surfaces. The wrench head closely fits within the yoke so that a maximum torque can be transferred from the wrench handle to the selected wrenching surface.

  • Patent number: 6581603
Abstract: The oral appliance engages over the mandibular incisors and presents a flat raised upper contact surface which is sufficiently wide to contact at least part of one of the two upper center incisors and preferably both of them. This prevents tooth contact between the upper and lower dental arches to prevent grinding of the teeth. It prevents contact of the upper canine teeth with any teeth or the appliance so as to decrease the facial muscular tension which is sometimes associated with headaches and migraines. Application of the appliance to the lower dental arch is phonetically and aesthetically superior to other configurations and arrangements.

  • Patent number: 6575923
Abstract: The head-massaging apparatus comprises a headband for engaging over the head. A yoke on each end of the headband carries a vibrator assembly. Each vibrator assembly carries resilient applicator fingers which engage the side of the user's head in an arc around the ear. An exterior power supply is provided. The resilient applicator fingers vibrate the skin around the ear to activate the nerves and circulation as well as massage the muscles.

  • Patent number: 6305033
Abstract: The hand-held cuspidor with replaceable cup has a base which receives a replaceable cup. A holder engages on the base and retains the cup in the base. The holder has a handle for manual carrying. A pivoted cover swings from a closed position over the holder to an open position where the replaceable cup is available for expectoration.

  • Patent number: 6273279
Abstract: The golf towel holder has a body which carries an attachment hook by which the body is detachably attached to the top of a golf club bag. The body may include a panel which carries selected indicia thereon. The body carries two golf towel holder hooks. The first hook is a closer hook for detachably retaining a first grommeted golf towel. The second hook is more open so that it can detachably retain a second grommeted golf towel. Since the second hook is more open, the second grommeted golf towel may be more easily detached and attached. The body with its hooks may be molded of thermoplastic synthetic polymer composition material in one or more pieces or may be formed of bent wire in one or more pieces.

  • Patent number: 6253473
Abstract: The calendar of the normally folded type is displayed in an unfolded position on a backboard upon which is pivoted a frame. The frame has upper and lower openings defined by stiles and crosspieces. The back of the frame has a recess sized to receive the calendar in its unfolded position. The openings in the frame permit viewing of the upper and lower calendar sheets when positioned therein. When the frame is closed against the backboard, the calendar is held in position with access to both the upper and lower calendar sheets. The frame is easily opened for adjusting of the calendar sheets.

  • Patent number: 6161327
Abstract: The data acquisition film medium is a gridwork of lines applied to read the distribution and population of insects captured on sticky material on a substrate. The data acquisition gridwork of lines may be applied to the substrate under the sticky material or may be applied to a separate transparent data acquisition film which is applied over the sticky material and insects captured thereon after use of the substrate with its sticky material. The separate transparent data acquisition medium may be in panels to cover the sticky material on capture glueboards, on either one side or both sides of the glueboard, may be in bag form for receiving the glueboards, may be on a roll with tear-off edge, may be wrapped around a single-sided or double-sided glueboard, or may be a long length of film to apply onto a long length of substrate carrying sticky material in an advancing manner in an insect light trap.

  • Patent number: 6134741
Abstract: A pair of slippers has a moisture-transmitting band across the bottom. An absorbent sponge is placed within the band and the band is secured by a hook and loop fastener. The slipper is worn in this condition when the sponge exchanges water to and from the floor to clean the floor and pick up spills. The securing band is releasable to change the absorbent material. In one embodiment the securing band is detachable for separate washing. Spills may be picked up without bending over.

  • Patent number: 6106437
Abstract: The neck therapy exercise apparatus comprises a resistance frame in the form of a circular ring at head level of the user. The resistance frame carries pulleys thereon. The user wears a helmet with attachment eyes thereon. Weights are attached to cords which pass through the pulleys and are hooked to selected eyes on the helmet so that cervical spine muscle exercises are done against resistance which is in the plane of the head to prevent downward loading on the spine. More than one weight and cord can be used at the same time to provide torque resistance about a vertical axis. Hand grips are provided to maintain position of the torso.
