  • Patent number: 7138957
Abstract: A dish antenna kit has at least one reflector, one feed horn, and an alignment tool. The alignment tool has a light source and a base. The base has at least one inner cylindrical surface having a diameter slightly exceeding the outer diameter of a rim of the feed horn. The alignment tool base positions the light source axis with respect to the feed horn axis. A method of aligning the feed horn with respect to the reflector includes: placing the alignment tool on the feed horn; activating the light source; rotating the alignment tool so that a light beam advances in an arcuate path on the surface of the reflector; determining from the arcuate path the offset of the feed horn with respect to a focus point on the reflector surface; and, if the offset is not within the predetermined tolerance, adjusting the feed horn attitude.

  • Patent number: 7137575
Abstract: A nozzle for use with a fire hose is capable of varying a discharge pattern while maintaining the total water discharge amount at a fixed level. A first tube 4 is connected to a fire hose, a second tube 5 is screwed onto the first tube, and a throttle valve 40 is disposed on the inside of the second tube. A throttled portion 10 between the second tube and the throttle valve maintains the total water discharge amount at a fixed level. The position of the second tube 5 is varied by rotating a grip 42, and thus the total water discharge amount setting is varied. A third tube 13 is screwed onto the second tube, and a fourth tube 14 is screwed onto the third tube. The position of the third tube 13 is varied by rotating a grip 60, and thus the discharge pattern is varied. The position of the fourth tube 14 is varied by rotating a grip 66, and thus the flow rate of a self-protection water spray is regulated.

  • Patent number: 7137939
Abstract: A machine tool is provided with a base, a tool rest and a boring bar magazine. The tool rest is mounted on the base and retains a boring bar. The tool rest is moved in a first direction in parallel with an axis of the main spindle and in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction. The magazine is located opposite to a headstock and stocks the boring bars and swivels and indexes the boring bar. The tool rest is moved whereby the boring bars are changed by other ones between the tool rest and the magazine. Thus, the tool rest is moved in at least two directions so that the boring bars are changed between the tool rest and the magazine.

  • Patent number: 7137180
Abstract: A turret for a machine tool is provided with: a turret body; a swiveling drum on which a tool holder for holding the rotating tool is mountable; a swiveling and indexing drive portion for swiveling the swiveling drum with a swiveling and indexing motor and for indexing any desired rotating tool; and a rotational driving motor, having a rotating shaft directed to an index position, incorporated into the swiveling drum and supported to the turret body. Under the condition that the rotating tool is indexed, a holder shaft of the tool holder of the rotating tool and the rotating shaft are coupled directly with each other and thereby the rotating tool is rotated by the rotational driving motor. Thus, when the rotating tool is drivingly rotated, the power transmission efficiency for rotational drive is high to thereby make it possible to reduce the heat generation, vibration and noise.

  • Patent number: 7134172
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a multi-nozzle ink jet head having a plurality of nozzles, cross talk between adjacent elements is suppressed. The head has the nozzles (12), pressure chambers (15), and bimorph drivers. The bimorph drivers have piezos (19) formed on a diaphragm (18). The diaphragm (18) has linear parts (18-1) that convert the generated force from the piezos (19) into displacement, and non-linear parts (18-2) that are provided between the linear parts (18-1) and diaphragm fixing parts. Due to the non-linear parts (18-2), transmission of strain energy to the fixing parts is suppressed, and hence cross talk is suppressed.

  • Patent number: 7135718
Abstract: A semiconductor device having improved breakdown voltage is provided. A diode device of the present invention includes relay diffusion layers provided between guard ring portions. Therefore, a depletion layer expanded outward from the guard ring portions except the outermost one reaches these relay diffusion layers, and then the outer guard ring portions. The width of the distance between the guard ring portions is shorter where the relay diffusion layers are provided. For the width of the relay diffusion layers, the depletion layer reaches the outer guard ring portions with a lower voltage than the conventional structure.

  • Patent number: 7136744
Abstract: Provided is a navigation system that can realize preferable navigation. A server unit (400) recognizes current position information and destination information sent from a terminal unit (300) over a network (200) and searches for a travel route utilizing matching data in map information. The server unit (400) sends matching mesh information and a travel route to the terminal unit (300), the matching mesh information including nodes and links that represent a road corresponding to the travel route. The terminal unit (300) navigates a vehicle on the basis of the current position information, the matching mesh information, and information on the travel route. When the current position is off the travel route, the terminal unit (300) performs rerouting on the basis of the matching mesh information that has been acquired. If the terminal unit (300) can not perform rerouting, the server unit (400) performs rerouting. Thus, prompt and smooth navigation based on a new travel route can be achieved.
