Abstract: In a circulation system of treatment-object water (waste water), a water treating apparatus and a pH adjuster are provided. A carbon fiber that can collect at least microorganisms is disposed in the water treating apparatus. The carbon fiber is immersed in the treatment-object water, and potential is applied to the carbon fiber. Further, pH of the treatment-object water is adjusted by the pH adjuster in a direction in which adsorption of microorganisms in the treatment-object water to the carbon fiber is facilitated. As a result, the microorganisms are strongly attracted and adsorbed to the carbon fiber.

  • Patent number: 7134588
Abstract: Changes in the form of a pressure welding part of a bonding tool for ultrasonic bonding due to abrasion of the pressure welding part and/or accumulation of foreign matter, such as plating material, on the pressure welding part during use of the bonding tool are prevented, so that the bonding tool can carry out ultrasonic bonding stably. A plurality of protrusions with curved outer surfaces are formed on the pressure welding part that contacts the bonded part during ultrasonic bonding. The protrusions can be formed with spherical outer surfaces by forming concave grooves in a grid in an end surface of the bonding tool and then sandblasting the end surface of the bonding tool.

  • Patent number: 7133249
Abstract: A recording disk drive comprises a head actuator coupled to a support shaft for relative rotation so as to support a head slider at a tip end of the head actuator. A rectifier plate is located at a location outside an arc defined along a movement path of the tip end of the head actuator. The rectifier plate is thus located downstream of the head slider. The distance between the rectifier plate and the head slider is maintained constant regardless of the position of the head slider. Turbulence of the airflow can reliably be suppressed downstream of the head slider during the rotation of the recording disk.

  • Patent number: 7133344
Abstract: A disk recording-playback device including a laser drive circuit for feeding a drive signal to an optical head and adjusting the power of a laser beam irradiated by the optical head, an error correcting circuit for detecting an error rate of a reproduced signal, and a system controller for controlling operation of the laser drive circuit for signal reproduction and signal recording based on the output of the error correcting circuit. The system controller successively sets the laser powers to at least three different values, obtains evaluation data for each laser power, approximates the relationships between the laser powers and the evaluation data to a quadratic curve, whereby an optimum laser power is derived corresponding to a vertex of the quadratic curve. Accordingly the optimum reproduction power and recording power are set, to thereby record and reproduce signals with high accuracy.
