  • Patent number: 4932836
Abstract: A pump having a heat exchanger including a rotating baffle sleeve secured to the pump shaft. A seal baffle on the rotating baffle sleeve extends over the pump seal assembly cartridge. A cooling cylinder containing circulating component cooling water is suspended within the rotating baffle sleeve and defines a flow passageway therein for cooling heated product water, before the product water contacts the shaft seal. A seal injector distributor ring uniformly distributes seal injection water to the seal. A thermal shield in the heat exchanger reduces thermal stresses in the heat exchanger. A slotted or grooved keyway spacer ring facilitates replacement and alignment of a hydrostatic bearing.

  • Patent number: 4906224
Abstract: A chain constructed of alternating groups of fine blanked articulating links and sets of guide and connecting links. The sets and groups of links are joined by pivot members, journaled in smooth walled openings in the articulating links and press-fit into the openings in the guide and connecting links. The articulating links are of the silent variety with a pair of toes spaced by a crotch with the defining flanks of the toes being adaptable for drivingly contacting the teeth of sprockets. To provide the smooth walled openings in the articulating links, these links are fine blanked as opposed to being conventionally blanked.

  • Patent number: 4904231
Abstract: An improved rocker joint for a chain in which each pin of a pair of pins is substantially identical in cross-sectional shape. Each pin has a front and working surface defined by a first radius and a back surface defined by a single and smaller radius. Planar surfaces diverging from front to back join the front and back surfaces of the pins. The links are provided with openings to receive the pins, each opening being generally circular and having inwardly directed lugs, the lugs defining a first arc and a second and larger arc. One of the pins of the rocker joint is held against rotation in some of the links with its back surface contacting the smaller arc and also the walls of the defining lugs.

  • Patent number: 4902145
Abstract: A separator for the balls of a ball bearing assembly, especially of the land riding variety which is constructed of two like parts joined together by ultrasonic welding. The separator is provided with generally cylindrical ball receiving pockets. Skis are provided on the circumference of the separator which ride on the lands of the bearing. Each part of the separator is formed with alternating studs and bores, which, when two parts are assembled, the bores receive the opposing studs. The structure is so formed to insure the flow of lubricant to the raceways.
