Abstract: A bank shot teaching or training device including a pair of arms pivotally supported on a base and positionable relative to teach other by means of indicia formed on the base and the arms such that the angle on the interior face of each arm will be equal relative to an imaginary center line normal to the base and equidistant between the pivot points. The base and arms are positionable on the playing surface of the billiard or pool table with an edge of the base being positionable along the cushion rail beneath the point of impact of a ball with the cushion.

Abstract: A boat trailer having the parallel boat supporting portions of the trailer frame free of any fixed cross frame members rigidly connected to the trailer side booms. The parallel spacing between this portion of the trailer frame is effected by a downwardly curved cross bar member pivotally connected at each end to the trailer side frames. The ends of the pivotally connected cross bar are supported from the trailer side frames in a manner which eliminates the necessity of any side frame-to-cross bar mounting bracketry, thereby improving the aesthetic appearance of the trailer and simulating a welded connection.
Abstract: A ductless air treating device having changeable air treating and lighting elements. A vaneless diffuser fan circulates air through the unit and cools the elements thereof. The unit is mounted directly to any standard electrical junction box or alternatively, to any standard electrical socket. Adjustable aligning spacers align the ductless ventilator with the mounting surface. The fan or the light may be operated individually or together simultaneously.
Abstract: A wire rope or cable stabilizing system for applying a balancing force to a suspended load to maintain vertical movement of the load perpendicular to the surface upon which the load is to be placed. The balancing force is effected to balance the lateral loading forces which may be applied to the suspended load such as may be due to, for example, the list or trim of a vessel, or the wind loading forces encountered when removing or replacing a hatch cover during a loading or unloading operation of a ship.

Abstract: There is provided an auxiliary lamp for use with a vehicle having a standardized enclosed body with a replaceable lens which may be interchanged with other lenses depending upon the function the lamp is to perform. The light bulb which illuminates the lamp is carried within the lamp housing by means of a standardized bulb holder insertable through the bottom of the housing, and forming a closure thereof preventing light from passing through the bottom opening of the housing through which the bulb holder is inserted. The bulb holder may be easily adapted to carry either a single or double filament bulb depending upon the particular function the lamp is to perform. However, the lamp housing and the holder in which the bulb is carried are constructed in the same manner, whether using a single or a double filament bulb, with appropriate electrical connections being provided on the bulb holder to accommodate the different bulbs as necessitated by the function the bulb filaments are to perform.
Abstract: A lightweight device for obtaining improved performance of rubber tired vehicles. The arrangement has high-strength, thin-gauged traction intensifying means secured to the driving member for a tire, having a smooth or shallow tread, providing improved drawbar performance in fields when said traction intensifying means are engaged and improved traction and riding characteristics on hard grounds and pavements when said traction intensifying means are disengaged; and includes actuating means for rapid and convenient conversion between "steel-drive" for fields and "rubber-drive" for hard surfaces, and vice versa.
Abstract: An electrokinetic dewatering apparatus is disclosed which includes a pair of oppositely electrically charged continuously traveling webs or belts positioned to contact a quantity of clay material passed into a nip formed at the inlet to the dewatering apparatus. The clay cake is continuously contacted by the two webs while the cake passes therebetween. The clay material is not subjected to any pressure force substantially in excess of the contact pressure during the electrokinetic separation and removal of a portion of the water contained therein.
