Abstract: A method and system for controlling network traffic with different tags within the same connection by applying policies for each tag are disclosed. A method is disclosed in which incoming traffic is received. A traffic class is assigned to the traffic class. Outgoing traffic is controlled based on the assigned policy for the incoming traffic.

Abstract: An inverter-integrated electric compressor has a control device. The control device estimates a compressor suction pressure based on the temperature of the power element of the inverter, or directly measures the compressor suction pressure by a sensor, or estimates the compressor suction pressure based on a compressor suction temperature or on a compressor housing temperature. Further, the control device calculates a motor torque based on a motor rotational speed, a motor phase current, and a motor phase voltage, estimates a compressor discharge pressure based on the compressor suction pressure and the motor torque, and estimates a compressor discharge temperature based on the compressor suction pressure and the compressor discharge pressure. The electric compressor has a discharge temperature detection device in place of a conventional thermal protector.

Abstract: The present invention is directed towards systems and methods for generating bids for one or more keywords and advertisement groups. The method of the present invention comprises generating a data set with one or more entries, a given entry identifying one or more advertising metric values associated with an advertisement group and keyword. One or more keywords are selected from the one or more entries in the data set, and a bid is generated for the one or more selected keywords using the one or more advertising metric values associated with the one or more selected keywords. The one or more advertising metric values of the one or more entries associated with a given advertisement group exclusive of the one or more advertising metric values associated with the one or more selected keywords is aggregated. A bid is generated for the one or more advertisement groups using the one or more aggregated advertising metric values associated with the one or more advertisement groups.

Abstract: An inkjet recording apparatus includes at least one inkjet head having an ejection surface, a feeding mechanism which includes a feed member having a feed surface that is opposed to the ejection surface and which drives the feed member to feed a recording medium on the feed surface in a feeding direction, a wiper blade which removes ink that is adhered to the feed surface by contacting the feed surface, a judging portion which judges whether cleaning of the feed surface is necessary, and a controller which controls the at least one inkjet head and the feeding mechanism, in a case where the judging portion judges that the cleaning of the feed surface is necessary, to perform a first operation in which ink is ejected to the feed surface and a second operation in which the feed member is driven.

A method may include communicatively coupling a root node device to a plurality of internal node devices, and communicatively coupling a plurality of leaf node devices to the root node devices and the internal node devices. The root node device may transmit a software image from the root node device to at least two of the internal node devices, and each internal node device may transmit the software image to at least one other internal node device or leaf node device.

Abstract: A system and method for providing return labels for remotely purchased merchandise, via the Internet. The method begins with receiving, from a customer, a request to initiate return processing, via a web access tool (such as a web browser) associated with the customer. Return information (such as identification of a transaction relating the item to be returned and identification of the customer) is displayed at the web access tool. Return-related data, such as a selection of a return item, is received from the customer via the web access tool. This information is used to generate a return label, which may be downloaded to the customer for printing.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems directed to a distributed data repository system including a plurality of symmetric data repository nodes. In certain embodiments of the present invention, the distributed data repository system is message-centric operative to store message payloads transmitted from client nodes. In certain embodiments, the distributed data repository system is BLOB-centric, maintaining binary data objects and indexes of attribute values that map to the binary data objects. Of course, the present invention can be utilized to store a great variety of digital data contained in message payloads. According to certain embodiments of the present invention, the attribute indexes are fully replicated across all data repository nodes, while the message payloads (e.g., data objects or other content) are exchanged across data repository nodes as needed to fulfill client queries.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an archival data storage system. The archival data storage system includes write once and read many (WORM) capability, data redundancy, error correction, and access control. The combination of these capabilities enable the archival storage system to be secure, error proof, and reliable. Additionally, to provide fast data access time, solid state storage devices are used in place of conventional tape drive. Solid state storage devices such as, for example, flash memory devices are fast, versatile and reliable.

Abstract: A hardfacing is provided to protect surfaces of drill bits and other downhole tools. The hardfacing may include tungsten carbide particles or pellets formed with an optimum weight percentage of binding material and dispersed within and bonded to a matrix deposit. The tungsten carbide particles may be formed by sintering or other appropriate techniques. The tungsten carbide particles may have generally spherical shapes, partially spherical shapes or non-spherical shapes.

Abstract: An example embodiment of the present invention provides processes relating to self-initiated end-to-end monitoring for an authentication gateway. In one particular implementation, the authentication gateway periodically creates and stores a temporary logon for access to a network and then sends a message including the temporary logon over a secure connection to a client. When the client receives the temporary logon, the client responds to the message by attempting to access a configurable network site. The authentication gateway redirects the client to a captive portal which prompts the client for a logon and the client enters the temporary logon at the captive portal. Then upon validating the temporary logon against the stored temporary logon, the authentication gateway authorizes access to the network. If the client successfully accesses the site, the client sends a verification report to the authentication gateway indicating successful access. Otherwise, the client reports on the failed access.

Abstract: A conferencing system and method includes, during the conference session, invoking an interactive voice response (IVR) routine that provides names of one or more conference participants to a user of an audio-only endpoint device responsive to a request from the user to create a sidebar session. An invitation to join the sidebar session is then communicated to each of one or more participants selected by the user, the invitation being communicated via a private media channel separate from a media stream associated with the conference session. The first valve switches the state of the first tank between open to and cut off from the outside air. The second valve switches the state of the first tank between connection to and cut off from the second tank.
