  • Patent number: 8310690
Abstract: The presence or absence of outside light is individually decided with respect to each of the time of executing AFE adjusted value acquiring processing, the time of executing LED adjusted value acquiring processing and the time of executing black correction data acquiring processing. In the case of deciding that the outside light is present, a parameter in the case of deciding that the outside light is present is modified to a predetermined value or a reacquired value. As a result of this, even when an incident state of outside light changes at the time of acquiring each of the parameters, it can properly be switched whether or not their parameters are replaced with the predetermined value or the reacquired value.

  • Patent number: 8302560
Abstract: An adaptive milking system comprises a milk meter, a controller, and a detacher. The milk meter measures a flow rate of milking an animal during a first period of time, and continues to monitor the flow rate of milking the animal. The controller is communicatively coupled to the milk meter and calculates a percentage of the measured flow rate. The controller triggers a delay timer when the monitored flow rate of milking the animal becomes lower than the larger of (a) a default threshold flow rate and (b) the calculated percentage of the measured flow rate. The detacher is communicatively coupled to the controller and removes a milking unit from the animal when the delay timer reaches a threshold time.

  • Patent number: 8303423
Abstract: A power transmission interconnects a drive body and a driven body by a coupling member, transmits torque of the drive body to the driven body, and interrupts the torque when a drive load of the driven body exceeds a predetermined value. The coupling member has, as separate sections in the coupling member, both of a positive torque transmission section and a negative torque transmission section. The positive torque transmission section holds torque in the forward rotational direction and, when a drive load of the driven body exceeds the predetermined value, interrupts transmission of torque from the drive body by its own fracture. The negative torque transmission section holds torque in the reverse rotational direction. Even if there is a torque fluctuation on the drive body, its influence can be suppressed as little as possible, and interruption of torque can be performed properly at a target interruption torque value.

  • Patent number: RE43787
Abstract: In view of the fact that a limited storage area of a facsimile memory cannot store a large amount of data necessary to operate and manage the facsimile machine, a hard disk of a personal computer connected to the facsimile machine is used for storing such a large amount of data. For example, an application software needed for achieving a certain function of the facsimile machine is supplied from a service station managed by a manufacturer of the facsimile machine and is downloaded and installed in a hard disk of the personal computer. An example of the function is a scheduled/delayed transmission for scheduling a time of facsimile transmission at a specific time or after a certain period of time has passed. As far as the facsimile machine and the personal computer are connected, other kinds of data, such as help list data and facsimile transaction information, are stored in the hard disk of the personal computer.
