  • Patent number: 8222581
Abstract: A process of using finite element analysis for determining the behavior of a system, submitted to predetermined load and displacement boundary conditions with a degree of freedom relative to a local coordinate system released at one system node. For a geometrically non-linear solution scheme, a plurality of incremental steps are carried, for which computing for a finite element of the system a displacement vector at the nodes of the finite element is performed by minimizing the energy of the system. For a geometrically linear solution scheme, a single solving step is carried. The step of minimizing is carried out, for a node having a released degree of freedom, in a local frame of reference, and the released degree of freedom at the node is expressed along one axis of such frame. Hybrid reference frames allow expressing and considering in the formulation the constraints of the non-released degrees of freedom simply.

  • Patent number: 8219428
Abstract: A cost standard determination system and a cost standard calculation module are provided. The system enables the operational effort of a store operation by a store operator to be reflected in a commitment fee, thereby promoting the independence support of employees. A cost standard is a value serving as a basis for the calculation of a commitment fee paid by a store owner who owns the store to the store operator to whom the store operation is committed and is used as a reference value for evaluating the operation of the store by the store operator. The cost standard calculation module has five cost standard calculation processing functions corresponding to five cost attributes (controllable attribute, permittable attribute, controllable & permittable attribute, uncontrollable attribute, and uncontrollable-based-charge attribute) and calculates a proper cost standard for each of a plurality of accounts on the cost by selectively using the five cost standard calculation processing functions.

  • Patent number: 8214246
Abstract: The invention provides a user with substantial flexibility in requesting and generating analysis projects on transaction and/or consumer data that is stored in one or more databases. Exemplary embodiments of the invention provide a method for retailers and other authorized users, such as suppliers, to access and perform sophisticated, highly specialized analysis on transaction and/or consumer data, such as retail sales and consumer data, from a remote location using an internet connected computer. The transaction and/or consumer data that is accessed can be a compilation of retail transaction data (collected from EPOS systems, for example) and/or consumer data (which has been collected from frequent-shopper or loyalty cards used by consumers when they shop, for example). Projects are generated as spreadsheet based interactive reports, which are easy to manipulate for further analysis and presentations.

  • Patent number: 8213963
Abstract: The present invention provides a network-based location measurement method using a pCELL database, comprising the steps of establishing a pCELL database in which a location measurement service target area is divided into lattices each having a predetermined size; continuously determining whether a request for location measurement occurs by a service subscriber; and, when the request for location measurement is generated, comparing fundamental information received from a mobile terminal with the pCELL database, determining a matching pCELL, and reporting the pCELL to the service requester. Furthermore, the present invention is constructed to periodically update a initially established pCELL database using the results of A-GPS-based location measurement and reflect variation in BTSs within a mobile communication network to the pCELL database, thereby always maintaining the optimal database.
