Abstract: A method for fabricating a floating gate memory device comprises using self-aligned process for formation of a fourth poly layer over a partial gate structure that does not require an additional photolithographic step. Accordingly, enhanced device reliability can be achieved because a higher GCR can be maintained with lower gate bias levels. In addition, process complexity can be reduced, which can increase throughput and reduce device failures.

Abstract: This invention focuses on a novel process in which Porphyridium cruentum biomass first undergoes a stage of cellular disruption and subsequently stages of recovery and purification in order to achieve the purified B-phycoerythin (BFE) protein dye, using isoelectric precipitation and two-aqueous-phase systems. The steps of recovery and purification include isoelectric precipitation followed by a step of liquid/liquid extraction by means of two-aqueous-phase systems that use polyethylene glycol (PEG) and phosphate salts. The BFE protein dye obtained in the two-aqueous-phase extraction step undergoes an ultrafiltration step in order to remove the polymer (PEG) and to obtain a dye with a purity greater than 4.0 defined as the relationship between the absorbencies at 545 and 280 nm (BFE purity=Abs 545 nm/Abs 280 nm).

Abstract: A memory array comprising vertical memory cells does not require any isolation layers between cells. Thus, a very compact, high density memory array can be achieved. Each memory cell in the memory array is configured to store 4 bits of data per cell. Multi-level charge techniques can be used to increase the number of bit per cell and achieve further increased density for the memory array.

Abstract: A cap for use with bottled water dispensing systems. The cap includes a main cap and a liner. The main cap has an opening which receives and seals against a probe. The liner is gripped between the main cap and the bottle neck and has a outside part and an inner movable part. The inner movable part is linked to the outer part by a large connecting section that serves as a hinge, and breakable or frangible connecting section. When the bottle is lowered onto the dispensing system, the probe enters into the opening in the main cap, breaks the frangible connection, and pushes the inner movable part open like a flap. The liner, at the location of the large connecting section, is resilient such that the inner movable part tends to close when the bottle is removed from the dispensing system.
Abstract: A child seat comprises a seat part, a backrest operable to rotate relative to the seat part, a backrest adjusting mechanism and a safety lock movably mounted on the backrest. The backrest adjusting mechanism comprises a positioning element mounted stationary relative to the seat part, and a latch element mounted on the backrest and movable to engage with the positioning element. The positioning element comprises a channel that delimits a range of adjustable angular positions of the backrest relative to the seat part. In addition, the safety lock has a lock position adapted to restrict displacement of the latch element relative to the channel, and an unlock position enabling the latch element to move out of the channel when the backrest is moved out of the range of adjustable angular positions toward a position lying substantially parallel with the seat part.
Abstract: A wafer test trigger signal generating circuit of a semiconductor memory apparatus includes an enable timing control unit configured to generate an enable signal by using a plurality of address signals, and a trigger signal generating unit configured to generate a test trigger signal, which designates a decoding timing of a test mode defined by the plurality of address signals, in response to the enable signal.
Abstract: Polarization preserving projection screens provide optimum polarization preservation for 3D viewing. The projection screens additionally provide improved light control for enhanced brightness, uniformity, and contrast for both 2D and 3D systems. Generally, the disclosed method for providing a projection screen comprises stripping an optically functional material from a carrier substrate, thus creating engineered particles from the optically functional material. The engineered particles may then be deposited on a second substrate to create a substantially homogeneous optical appearance of the projection screen.

Abstract: An address latch circuit of a semiconductor memory apparatus includes a control signal generating section configured to generate a control signal in response to an external command signal and a RAS idle signal, a clock control section configured to output a clock signal as a control clock signal when the control signal is enabled and to fix the control clock signal to a predetermined level when the control signal is disabled, and an address latch section configured to latch an address signal in response to the control clock signal.
Abstract: Upon selection of the frequency of a tone signal, a local oscillator generates a frequency signal having a shift frequency corresponding to the frequency of this tone signal. A frequency shifter generates a frequency-converted signal by shifting a frequency of the tone signal by a shift frequency of the frequency signal generated by the local oscillator. A BPF removes an image signal from the frequency-converted signal which the frequency shifter generated, and a normalizer normalizes the amplitude of the signal output from the second BPF. By this, even if the amplitude of the tone signal is small, the amplitude thereof is unified to a suitable magnitude. For this reason, even if there is a difference in the amplitude of the tone signal, the tone signal can be detected reliably and an false detection can be prevented.
Abstract: A liquid crystal display (LCD) device with reduced power consumption is provided with a plurality of data lines, a plurality of gate lines, and at least one demultiplexer. Each demultiplexer can comprise a plurality of switches respectively connected to the corresponding data lines and controlled by a plurality of clock signals and configured to receive an image signal, and selectively output the image signal to one of the data lines via the switches. During a driving period, one of the gate lines can be asserted, and the switches can be turned on simultaneously, then only the first one of the switches remains turned on to transmit the image signal to the corresponding data line, and then the first one of the switches are turned off and the other switches is sequentially turned on one at a time to transmit the image signal to the corresponding data lines.
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments relate to a fixation device for use in supporting and/or aligning an injured body part. An exemplary disclosed fixation device uses a pair of thumb wheel control elements to provide controlled rotational micromovements of a joint fracture.
