Abstract: A multi-layered roofing shingle is described. The layers of the shingle are connected via a mechanical fastener. A method for manufacturing a multi-layered shingle is also described. The method includes aligning the layers of the shingle, and connecting the layers via at least one mechanical fastener. Further described is a multi-layered shingle having layers that are mechanically fastened by deforming one of the layers into one of the other layers.

Abstract: A buffer circuit of a semiconductor integrated apparatus includes a control block configured to output a result of comparing an input voltage level and an output voltage level as a control signal, and a buffering block configured to generate an output voltage having the substantially same level as an input voltage in response to the control signal.
Abstract: A trifusion reporter plasmid is described that comprises a plasmid operably coupled to a mammalian FGF1B promoter that is operably coupled to a bioluminescence gene fused to a fluorescence gene fused to a nuclear medical imaging gene. The new reporter allows in vivo or ex vivo detection of gene expression in three different ways, in addition to traditional in vitro detection methods. Transgenic animals containing this new trifusion reporter and uses of same are described.
Abstract: A process of producing silicon tetrafluoride from fluoride containing feedstocks. The process calcines the fluoride containing feedstock and a silica containing feedstock before reacting the mixture with sulfuric acid to produce silicon tetrafluoride. The silicon tetrafluoride is scrubbed with sulfuric acid. Excess sulfuric acid is recycled to the process. The process demonstrates an economic and environmentally friendly way to produce high quality silicon tetrafluoride.
Abstract: A system for universally controlling the functionality of portable electronic devices in a localized geospatial area is disclosed. A control signal encoded with instructions based on a predetermined protocol is sent from a RF control point transmitter. The encoded signal is received and decoded by portable electronic devices in the area and an action is performed in response to the control signal. Actions can include enabling or disabling a specific function of the portable electronic device, displaying messages on the portable electronic device, or transmitting information from the portable electronic device back to the control point. Actions remain active while in that area or for specified time periods to various levels of precision and reliability through a combination of settings or timing functions.
Abstract: A semiconductor memory apparatus includes a initialization signal generating unit configured to vary a voltage level of an external voltage in response to a detection signal, the external voltage enables a power-up signal, an internal voltage generating unit configured to produce an internal voltage, the internal voltage generating unit is initialized by the power-up signal, and a detection signal generating unit configured to produce the detection signal in response to a voltage level of the internal voltage.
Abstract: A test circuit is capable of simultaneously performing various test modes. The test circuit includes a concurrent test mode controller for providing a plurality of decoding signals by receiving test mode input signals while test modes are being activated, and simultaneously providing the decoding signals if predetermined concurrent test mode signals are received.
Abstract: A semiconductor integrated circuit can include a first voltage pad, a second voltage pad, and a voltage stabilizing unit that is connected between the first voltage pad and the second voltage pad. The first voltage pad can be connected to a first internal circuit, and the second voltage pad can be connected to a second internal circuit.

Abstract: The present invention is directed to an apparatus that drives a lighting system with multiple lamps. A phase shift mechanism is produced either by a digital method, an analog method, or a mixture of the two methods. In a digital method, phase shifts are generated by digital circuits comprising counters, a divider, an adder, and a comparator. The digital circuits analyze the signal and use the necessary information to form a series of phased driving signals. In an analog method, phase shifts are generated by analog circuits comprising ramp waveform generators, comparators, and at least one shot generator. Also, an apparatus for driving a lighting system with multiple lamps can be realized by mixing the two methods mentioned above.
Abstract: A reference voltage generating circuit in a semiconductor memory apparatus comprises a driving control signal generating unit configured to generate a driving control signal according to a temperature variation, wherein the driving control signal generating unit is enabled in response to a power-up signal, a driving unit configured to control a voltage level, which is applied to a voltage transfer node, in response to the power-up signal and the driving control signal, and a reference voltage generating unit configured to generate a reference voltage when a voltage level on the voltage transfer node is higher than a predetermined voltage level.
Abstract: Phytoceutical compositions for the prevention and treatment of circulatory disorders, feminine endocrine disorders, and dermal disorders. A specific combination of extracts of plants is taught, as well as principles for varying the formulations based on categorizing plants into one of three groups, Energy, Bio-Intelligence, and Organization and selecting several plants from each group. Such combinations have synergistic effects, with minimal side effects.
Abstract: A latch structure includes a first inverter that includes a first PMOS transistor and a first NMOS transistor, and a second inverter that includes a second PMOS transistor and a second NMOS transistor, receives an output signal of the first inverter, and outputs an input signal to the first inverter. The sources of the first and second transistors of the same type are connected to a common straight source line.
Abstract: A semiconductor IC device includes a command decoder that provides internal read and internal write command signals in response to external command signals, and a delay control unit that is connected with the command decoder and provides an internal read command delay signal by controlling an activation timing of the internal read command signal in response to a test mode signal in a read mode.
