  • Patent number: 4925152
Abstract: This invention relates to an air trap for shutting off flexible plastic tubing, particularly infusion tubing, for instance, during a transfusion of blood the air trap will reliably shut off the supply of blood when air bubbles are contained in the liquid entering the infusion tubing. This is ensured in that the air trap for shutting off flexible plastic tubing, particularly infusion tubing, comprises a flat head (mushroom-shaped head), which on one side bears on a ciaphragm, which defines a pressure chamber, and on the other side is provided with a guide stem, which is provided with means for squeezing a flexible plastic tubing in a receptacle and is operable to release the tubing in the receptacle under the action of a gas pressure in the pressure chamber and is spring-biased to cause said squeezing means to squeeze the flexible tubing in the receptacle when the pressure chamber is pressure-relieved.

  • Patent number: 4920831
Abstract: This invention relates to a portable vehicle-carrying wrench which provides controlled torque to prevent damage to related elements, comprising a housing assembly, a tool assembly and a trigger assembly, in which the housing assembly includes a motor casing, a tool casing, a front and rear cover and a handle. The tool assembly is located in the interior of the tool casing and the rotation force of a reversible motor is transmitted to a drive member. By means of an arrester installed inside a main body, the front and rear position moving can be controlled according to the rotation speed, serving as a means to further exert an indirect control over a follower shaft to determine whether it will be continuously operated or not, so as to enable the motor to be regulated into positive or reversible output according to its actual requirements and hence to achieve the purpose of tightening or loosening bolts or nuts used for mounting a tire on a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4920940
Abstract: A fuel pumping apparatus of the rotary distributor type includes an accumulator volume into which fuel can be spilled to terminate delivery of fuel by the apparatus. The accumulator is defined by a movable member in the form of a sleeve which is slidable on an extension of the distributor member and has a closed end. The extension defines a seating with which can be engaged by a valve element defined by the sleeve. The extension and sleeve define an annular space connected to the pumping chamber of the apparatus and mechanical means is provided to effect initial movement of the sleeve against the action of a spring to lift the valve element from the seating to allow fuel flow into the accumulator volume.

  • Patent number: 4917306
Abstract: A fuel injection nozzle comprises a valve member which is biased into contact with a seating by a spring supported on a spring abutment having an integral extension which projects through an aperture in the end face of a holder which carries a nozzle body in which the valve member is located. The valve member is in engagement with the extension. A sleeve surrounds the valve member and is slidable in the body and is engageable with the extension. The valve member and the sleeve move together against the action of the spring under the action of fuel pressure to allow fuel flow to an outlet. The movement of the sleeve is arrested by a stop surface defined by the end face of the holder. The continued movement of the valve member being under the action of the fuel pressure acting on the valve member alone, until its movement is arrested by a stop.

  • Patent number: 4913632
Abstract: A rotary distributor fuel injection pump includes a rotary distributor member movable axially in a body part. The distributor member has a transverse bore in which is mounted a pumping plunger. At its outer end the plunger is engaged by a cam follower including a roller which is axially movable with the distributor member and which engages cam lobes formed on the internal surface of a cam ring to effect inward movement to the plunger. Outward movement of the plunger is effected by supplying fuel to the bore and the extent of outward movement of the plunger is limited by stop rings on the opposite sides of the cam ring. The stop rings are mounted in the body and define internal inclined surfaces which are engaged by end portions of the roller so that as the distributor member is moved axially the extent of outward movement of the plunger will be varied to control the amount of fuel supplied by the pump.

  • Patent number: 4904077
Abstract: This invention relates to a locked screw joint for connecting two eyeglass members, particularly members of a closing block or a hinge of an eyeglass frame. A bore is provided with screw threads at one end and is provided at its other end with an abutment for the head of a hinge screw, which abutment consists of a flat surface or of a counterbore. The locked screw joint can be opened and reconnected, as is required in the manufacture and use of eyeglass frames. This is accomplished in that a conical elevation surrounding the bore is provided on the abutment surface for the screw head, the inner edge of the shank of the screw has a conical constriction under the screw head and as the shank is screwed in the conical elevation is deformed to extend into and is locked in the constriction.
