  • Patent number: 4195843
Abstract: The casing of a sound reproducing device defines the upper and lower bearings for directly receiving a shaft of a driving motor, as well as the outer shell for enclosing the rotor of the motor. This arrangement provides a motor assembly without the need for separate outer shell and separate brackets which are ordinarily indispensable with motors. The rotor hereof has a commutator being matingly electrically and slidably contractable with a pair of brushes fabricated from a metal wire. The free end of each wire comprises the brush, and the remaining portion thereof acts as a lead wire integral with the brush. The contact surfaces of the brushes and the commutator can be displaced or shifted by moving the two mating parts relative to each other for preventing defective starting due to poor electrical connection.

  • Patent number: 4195767
Abstract: A peg board scoring device for scoring the game of euchre is disclosed. A first plurality of spaced apart apertures are disposed in a base along a first pair of converging lines intersecting to form a "V". A second plurality of spaced apart apertures in the base are disposed along a second pair of lines converging to form a mirror image of the first pair of converging lines. The intersection of the first pair of lines and the intersection of the second pair of lines are spaced apart a distance. The first and second pairs of spaced apart apertures are used by opposing players to score a game euchre. A third plurality of evenly spaced apart apertures extends inward from a left edge of the base perpendicular to the edge to provide a device for one of the players to score the games he has won. A fourth plurality of evenly spaced apertures extending inward from the right edge of the base is used by the second player to score the games won by him.

  • Patent number: 4194717
Abstract: A concrete wall form structure of the type having a pair of aligned contiguous pre-fabricated panel units disposed in an edged-edged, upstanding relationship. Each panel unit has one of its marginal frame members abutting an adjacent marginal frame member of the panel unit. The panel unit edges have a plurality of aligned apertures in each of the abutting frame members whereby at least two apertures of abutting frame members are aligned and receive an elongated bolt. One of the panel units slidably carries the bolt so that it is movable between a retracted rear position wherein the bolt is moved within the confines of that one panel unit and an advanced forward position wherein the forward end of the bolt is projected through both apertures of the adjacent frame members and within the confines of the other panel unit.

  • Patent number: 4193844
Abstract: A process for the insertion and exchange of the filter elements for suspended matter is performed from the clean-air-side. During the insertion of a filter element, a plastic tube (which encircles the circumference of the filter element and which exceeds in its length the layer thickness of the filter element several times) is tightly connected in its middle section with the side walls, which side walls form a border around the filter element; and then the open end of the plastic tube, which faces the frame, is connected by way of a tight fit with a ring, which is actually known and which surrounds the orifice of the frame into which the filter element is inserted. The filter element is connected with the frame by means of tightening devices, and the outer free end of the tube is turned inside out and around the filter element for the purpose of unhindered air passage through the filter layer, that during the exchange of the contaminated filter element, the outer open end of the tube is heat sealed.

  • Patent number: 4193628
Abstract: A frame extending around an opening in a vehicle roof has a resilient molding adapted to support the perimeter of a curved glass panel to close off the opening. A pair of bayonets projecting in spaced relationship to the underside of the forward edge of the panel mates with a recessed member carried by the frame when the panel is inclined with respect to the roof to act as a pivotal hinge, allowing motion of the panel between a closed position and that inclined position. The bayonets include cantilevered beams which are provided with reinforcing flanges disposed intermediate the main body of the bayonets and the top of the cantilevered beams. In a second embodiment of the invention, the bayonet body and the cantilevered beam have a metal insert which provides additional strength and flexibility.

  • Patent number: 4193067
Abstract: A burglar alarm is disclosed which detects the unauthorized opening of a door or window. The device has a longitudinally adjustable rod which extends between the burglar alarm and the moveable portion of a closed door or window. An attempt to open the door or window activates the burglar alarm causing the alarm to sound. A built in detent within the burglar alarm holds the alarm in the "on" position until manually released. A releasable locking fabric mounts the alarm to an adjacent stationary door or window frame. The alarm is readily separated by hand from the releasing locking fabric for easy opening of the door or window in the event of an emergency requiring a rapid exit.

  • Patent number: 4183592
Abstract: The marginal periphery of a locking side of an annular sealing ring is bent along an axial direction of the sealing ring to form a peripheral wall being chamfered at its peripheral edge. An annular sealing groove or grooves for receiving and retaining the annular sealing ring is formed either on an outer race or inner race of a rolling bearing. A retaining surface of the annular sealing groove is formed with a straight or curved profile and extends obliquely away from the central axis of the sealing ring toward the interior of the sealing ring body. Due to this construction, a chamfered portion of the sealing ring easily and resiliently deforms when it is merely pushed into the sealing groove or is tightened further by wedging or caulking, thus, enabling easy and firm assembly of the sealing ring without any appreciable deformation of the outer race or inner race which receives and retains the sealing ring.
