  • Patent number: 4430607
Abstract: It is known that every single or multi-phase power consumer such as a motor is optimally designed only for a certain power take up. Other power take ups deviating from this value result in a decreased ratio between power output and current intake. The circuit arrangement described in this application facilitates a fully automatic regulation and thus immediate adjustment of the respective power consumption to the respective power demand so that a motor or similar power consumers can be operated under energetically optimum conditions even under partial load. As a function hereof an advantageous phase detection facilitates generation of a regulated voltage with the current intake being reduced with increasing phase shift resulting in an increase of the output factor. For this purpose a Triac in series with the power consumer in the network is triggered in a certain manner in multiplex operation and a circuit differentiation is made among several phase controls.

  • Patent number: 4429084
Abstract: A method for forming a grout composition from multiple components. A first component is mixed in pre-measured amounts along with water in a first mixing tank. A first catalyst is added in pre-measured quantities to the first mixing tank. A second catalyst is mixed in pre-determined quantities with water in a second mixing tank. The aqueous solutions in the first and second mixing tanks are combined to cause a polymerization-cross-linking reaction of the first component which results in gellation of the first component.

  • Patent number: 4426789
Abstract: A navigation position plotter for determining the navigation coordinates of a point on a navigation chart and plotting the position of a point on the navigation chart. A plate bearing navigation scales divided into increments between two spaced grid lines on the navigation chart is mounted on a frame. A first plotting bar is movably mounted on the frame. A second plotting bar is pivotally mounted on the frame and intersects the first plotting bar. The frame is position over the chart such that the navigation coordinate increment underlying the second plotting bar can be read after the first and second plotting bars have been moved into intersecting relationship over the point to be plotted.

  • Patent number: 4422686
Abstract: A roof structure for a vehicle includes a preformed cap attached to a rear portion of the stationary roof structure altering the roof lines thereof. A flexible decorative cover has a first portion attached to the cap and a second portion extending flexibly forward therefrom. Pairs of cross bows are perpendicularly disposed within a frame attached to the edges of an opening in the roof, with the first cross bow of each pair of cross bows being guided in guide tracks mounted along the sides of the frame. The cross bows of each pair of cross bows are attached at spaced intervals to the flexible second portion of the cover. Bias members are connected between the ends of the cross bows in each pair of cross bows to maintain the cross bows in each pair of cross bows a predetermined spaced distance apart.
