The piston is intended to contact toothpaste which is loaded within the chamber. The pistons movement is biased in one direction along the line. A head is connected to the container and includes a bristle structure usable as a toothbrush. The head includes a passageway which communicates with the adjacent chamber of the container and the bristle structure of the head. A valve separated by movement of the spline opens the passageway permitting communication between the chamber and the bristle structure. Springs means is also included for closing the valve relative to the container. The piston continually moves along the spline during the delivery of toothpaste to the bristle structure in only one direction within the chamber of the container.

Abstract: A universal bar hanger employed for supporting fixtures to a pair of structural bodies. The bar hanger utilizes an elongated section having first and second surfaces with an elongated slot which is formed between first and second surfaces. The slot possesses a selected length and width dimension. An end section possessing a connector for affixing the end section to the structural body is also included. The end section is joined to the elongated section. A protuberance connects to and extends from the first surface of the elongated section and has a first portion with selected dimension that is in excess of the width dimension of the slot, and a second portion with a selected dimension that is smaller than the selected width dimension of the slot.
Abstract: A tossing ring utilizing a pair of annular bodies each including first and second transverse surfaces and outer end surfaces. First and second annular bodies are superimposed on one another such that the end surface of one of the annular bodies extends further outwardly from the openings of the annular bodies. The first annular body is fixed to the second annular body.
Abstract: A hot or cold body pack utilizing a heat transferring element which includes a bag having a first heat insulative portion and a second heat porous portion. The heat porous portion also mechanically retains a heat transfer element within the bag. The bag includes an opening to retain the heat transfer element. First and second loop members extend along separate dimensions on the outer surface of the bag to permit the straps to hold the bag to a body. Fastener material along an edge of the bag allows it be fastened to another pack.
Abstract: A drive mechanism for a body utilizing a motor which rotates a shaft. An eccentric weight is mounted on the shaft for movement with the same. The eccentric weight is linked to a base weight and transmits an oscillational motion along a dimension of the base weight. A torsion spring fixed to the counter weight extends away from the base weight and connects to the body to impart an oscillational torsional motion thereto.
Abstract: An extruded molding configured to frame glass masonry block for building structures, particularly wood frame structures, the molding having a flat base portion on which the block is seated and raised side elements forming a channel with breakaway spacer elements to accommodate block of different width, the molding in an exterior embodiment having a weather flash and as nailing flange to prevent water seepage under the molding, and in an interior embodiment having coupling members for coupling a cap for finishing edges of exposed glass block structures.
Abstract: An apparatus and method for coating or layering a surface with a metal utilizing a metal vapor vacuum arc plasma source. The apparatus includes a trigger mechanism for actuating the metal vacuum vapor arc plasma source in a pulsed mode at a predetermined rate. The surface or substrate to be coated or layered is supported in position with the plasma source in a vacuum chamber. The surface is electrically biased for a selected period of time during the pulsed mode of operation of the plasma source. Both the pulsing of the metal vapor vacuum arc plasma source and the electrical biasing of the surface are synchronized for selected periods of time.

Abstract: A gas turbine engine that can operate at a very high efficiency over a wide range of load conditions. In one important feature of the invention, combustion gases are discharged along two paths, one with constant energy and the other with energy that varies in accordance with the engine load. The constant energy discharge drives a turbine that, in turn, operates a compressor for the engine at a constant, high efficiency. Alternatively, the compressor is driven at a speed that varies inversely with the engine load such that the engine operates at a high efficiency for all loads. In another, independent feature of the invention, the combustion occurs at a stoichiometric ratio of fuel and air, with the turbine blades being protected from the vastly increased combustion gas temperatures by an internal array of passageways through which cooling liquid, e.g., liquid fuel, and air are channeled.
Abstract: An optical lens for eyewear for correcting severe myopia molded from a lens blank having an outer perimeter portion and an inner central portion, and having an inside and outside surface, the inside and outside surface of the outer perimeter portion being without prescription and the inner central portion having a discontinuous inside surface with a raised beveled section around an inner concave section having a corrective curvature for myopia vision.
Abstract: A skateboard lighting adaptor kit that is mountable to a conventional skateboard having a deck with front and rear wheel assemblies, the lighting kit including head lights mountable to the underside of the deck proximate the front wheel assembly, tail lights mountable to the underside of the deck proximate the rear wheel assembly, and side running lights mountable to the sides of the deck, the kit including electronic control means to allow the side running lights to be slectively lighted to signal a turn.
Abstract: A mechanism for obtaining a strip record of an environmental measurement. The mechanism is used in conjunction with a clock drive which advances a recording strip and with a stylus which marks an indication of the environmental status on the recording strip. The mechanism includes a housing having an exterior and interior portion which encloses the marking stylus. The recording strip is supported by a holder to permit marking by the stylus. An element is connected to the recording strip and fixed relative to the housing for permitting marking of the recording strip by the stylus. The element is removed from the housing by movement away from the marking stylus.
Abstract: A seal for connecting abutting first and second elastomeric sheets having overlying metallic portions including an elastomeric strip. The elastomeric strip is bonded to the elastomeric portions of the first and second sheets. An electrically conductive filler is attached to the metallic portions of the abutting sheets. A metallic layer is then plated to the conductive filler. A layer of flexible and abrasion resistant material adheres to the metallic plate and the metallic portions of the abutting sheets.
Abstract: A shield for a syringe mounted hypodermic needle which utilizes a translucent sheath. The sheath extends over the barrel to one position adjacent the barrel flange and to another position or beyond the needle point. The sheath may be distinctly stopped at these positions.
Abstract: A ball structure utilizing a plurality of annular elements or disk-like members placed in side-by-side disposition with one another. Each of the members are constructed of soft, flexible, foam material. The side-by-side members are bound together at one place to cause compression of the foam material. The side-by-side members are bound at a second place along each of the annular members substantially opposite to the first binding place. Such dual binding causes compression of the soft flexible foam material forming the annular members into a ball.
