  • Patent number: 4180374
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a protection system for a well pump in which a normal pressure switch is provided in series between this switch and the submerged motor and pump with a low pressure switch which has connected in parallel thereto a timing device which can in turn transmit directions to the pump, motor, control and starter to assure that a pump is not allowed to continue to run when there is no water in the well thereby causing a burnout. Check valves and a bleeder line are carefully positioned in this series to assure that the reading given by the low pressure switch, the normal pressure switch are real readings and that the pump is not inadvertenantly allowed to run due to incorrect signals derived therefrom.

  • Patent number: 4171835
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a lock suitable for use with sliding type windows which are constrained to ride within trackways. The apparatus comprises a pair of links pivotally connected having tab portions to provide for manipulation of these two links relative to each other and a biasing apparatus which tends to retard the two links from assuming a position in which one link would substantially totally overlie the other link. Further, downwardly extending tabs provide the nesting area for opposed extremities of the biasing spring which is wrapped in a preferred embodiment around the pivoting juncture of the two links and these tabs ride in the trackway or channel of the sliding windows and provide a resistive reaction to unauthorized opening of the window to such an extent that the window can not be opened in the conventional manner.

  • Patent number: 4159030
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a tire repairing tool used exclusively with a semi-drop type safety wheel comprising substantially a base member having an upstanding bar which traverses through an open portion of a wheel rim of the semi-drop safety type in which the bottom portion of the base is provided with a stay member to constrain the wheel rim during the tire removal operation. The upstanding bar member coacts through a hook inserted in an opening at the top most extremity thereof with this hook providing a hinged lever point to allow insertion therethrough of a chisel connected to a lever arm through a linkage system. Shims are provided between the upstanding bar of the base member and the chisel to nest against the wheel disposed on this type of wheel and constrain it from any motion during the tire working process.

  • Patent number: 4139395
Abstract: The present invention relates to a thixotropic tire balancing compound which is fed through the inflating valve stem into a tire in relatively small quantities compared to the over-all capacity of the tire. The compound partially liquifies and moves within the tire to maintain the balance of the tire at all times. As the tire wears the compound moves to maintain the balance of the tire and wheel assembly. The compound includes dextrin, albumin, glycerin and sodium silicate.

  • Patent number: 4130317
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a structure for the holding of sun-reducing glass in an automobile. One feature is that the rotation of sun-reducing glass is so light and convenient that the sun-cut glass can be turned to any desired position. The clamping device can hold the sun-reducing glass firmly so that it is immovable during the continuous vibration of the vehicle and it won't disturb the view of a driver. The clamping device is designed with two different retention points. Firstly, there is a lever action in the angular movement of the sun-cut glass. Applied force opens the spring clip so that the arms of the clip will not clamp the fixing shaft and a small force can be applied to the sun-reducing glass to move it to the required angle and position. Secondly, when there is no force to be applied on the sun-cut glass, the arm of the spring clip holds the fixing shaft firmly and thus, the sun-reducing glass is clamped firmly so that it is immovable.
