Abstract: Disclosed herein is a separable mower blade comprising a stem portion affixed to the drive axis of a rotary type mower shaft, a blade connected thereto and a slot disposed on the blade for reception of a bolt which is affixed to the stem portion so as to fasten the two together. A shroud is provided over the area of interconnection so as to firmly affix the two elements, the blade and the stem together and is so constructed to allow its easy removal so that blades may be taken off with a minimal amount of time and tools used therefore.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a cantilevered medial trailer for use in conjunction with a conventional ball and tongue trailer at one extremity of the medial trailer, and a towing vehicle adapted to pull both depending trailers by means of a conventional goose neck or fifth wheel. The rear trailer is connected to the medial trailer in such a fashion that the interposed trailer requires no rolling support and is completely supported by the last trailer and the towing vehicle.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a stop for doors which open into rooms having a solid carpet (such as wall-to-wall carpet that is fastened down) and comprises a handle, a base member and downwardly extending projections angulated so that they slant away from the door. When placed in proximate relation to the door, the unauthorized opening of the door is prevented to the extent that entry into that room is impossible without damaging the door.

Abstract: Apparatus (1) for automatically selecting a "secondary" sheet (6) of copying paper of a desired size from a store (7) containing secondary sheets (6) of different size arranged in groups (10) of the different sizes and for automatically aligning and associating the selected sheet (6) with a "primary" sheet (3) to be copied, the primary sheet (3) being inserted in the apparatus (1) and the size of the primary sheet (3) being sensed by the apparatus to determine the selection of the secondary sheet (6).Alignment is effected by bringing the leading edges (4 and 8) of primary and secondary sheets (3 and 6) into abutment with stop means (11 or 12) so that the leading end portion (8) of the secondary sheet (3) is provided with a wave-shaped portion upstream of the leading end portions (5 and 8) of the primary and secondary sheets (3 and 6).

Abstract: This invention relates to top arms for textile fibre roller drafting mechanisms, and in particular structure associated with same to permit the exclusive use of low ratio springs to change the pressure on the top rollers between at least two force magnitudes.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a frame network to be used in association with a water bed to secure the bed sheets thereon defined by a pair of spaced rectangular frames disposed along the top edge of a water bed in which the top most rectangular frame pivots relative to the bottom most frame at one end of the bed, preferably along the head board. The upper frame is so constructed that the rod closest to the head board is removable and insertable within a sleeve of the bottom portion of a bed sheet, and the side edges thereon similarly have sleeves so that side rods forming a portion of the framework are threaded therethrough. The end or foot portion of the bed sheet is looped over a portion of the frame work parallel to the head board and the sheet is doubled over so as to serve as a top sheet. A pad positioned between the sheet and the mattress is affixed to the lower frame, and a further sheet which extends under the mattress is secure to the bottom edge of the lower frame.

Abstract: Improvements in or relating to prefabricated self-supporting modular room elements for the construction of buildings, including substantially three basic modular elements, one of an inverted "U" shape, one of an inverted "L" shape and a service unit element furnished at their edges with the required means for the joining such as protruding semicircular iron rods, which by crossing themselves form an entire circle, inside which are inserted lengthwise reinforcing iron bars to strengthen the jointing before the grouting of the cement mortar and the horizontal edges are provided with grooves and recesses to receive the panels to be erected is disclosed.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a safety apparatus for use with a motorcycle to aid the rider in avoiding serious injuries due to collisions. An inflatable upwardly extending cocoon envelops the rider either upon impact, or upon his actuation thereof, and dissociates from the motorcycle to travel with the rider should he be thrown off. A housing is provided which unobtrusively rides on the motorcycle and nests the inflatable shroud so that a rider can be protected without having to don any supplemental gear.

Abstract: A safety clip is provided for use with a billfold, wallet or the like wherein the safety clip consists of a piece of suitable material such as metal or plastic that includes a portion that engages a pocket of the billfold, and wherein the device is adapted to be arranged in engagement with an article of clothing or belt so as to help prevent theft of the wallet or billfold by pickpockets or the like. The device includes a main rectangular body portion as well as a tapered portion, and the construction is such that the billfold is safely retained in place so as to minimize loss of the billfold to pickpockets.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a pest and odor preventive sanitary drain which utilizes the continuous property of liquids and permits a twisting downward discharge of waste water and keeps a certain waste water retention level in the water holder therebeneath so that the inlet of the discharge pipe is obstructed; in addition, a deodorizer is used for complete prevention of odor and pests towards a house so that indoor sanitation is maintained and human health is protected.

Abstract: An emergency control system for traffic signals in which a coded emergency signal transmitted from an emergency vehicle is picked up by a directional receiver associated with the traffic signals and a command emergency signal generated which activates a control unit by means of which the existing state of the traffic signals is sampled and the information stored after which the control unit switches control of the traffic signals from the main controller to the control unit which determines from the stored information the existing state of the traffic signals and the information from the receiver as to the direction of approach of the emergency vehicle, the correct sequence for placing the traffic signals in the proper state, the discontinuation of the emergency signal initiating the return of control of the traffic signals to the main controller by the control unit on the first amber light function output from the main controller.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a floating brush floor cleaner characterized in that a plurality of brushes are pivotally connected to the bottom face of a floor polishing machine. The manner in which these plural brushes are connected thereto provide independent action for each of the brushes to conform to the contour of the surface to be cleaned and includes a brush portion, a steel band nested around the brush, angle irons fastened to the top face of the brush, and a connection link between the bottom of the floor cleaning machine shroud or steel plate and the brush so that each brush is independently connected and capable of tracking an uneven contour of the floor.

Abstract: A system for playing bingo which includes a transmitter and at least one receiver. The transmitter includes a masterboard with associated ball-actuated switches which deliver signals in parallel format representing numbers in a bingo game. A parallel-to-series converter is provided to convert the signals into a series format. The receiver includes a series-to-parallel converter which effects a reconversion of the received signals into a parallel format and a flashboard which is coupled to outputs of the series-to-parallel converter and displays the numbers of a bingo game.

Abstract: A feeding apparatus for nursing animals such as calves and the like which includes a frame having longitudinally extending frame members mounted on A-shaped end supports with transversely extending rods arranged in spaced-apart parallel relationship to define stall areas in side-by-side relationship on opposite sides of the frame, a nursing bottle retainer being provided on the frame members adjacent the front of each stall area on both sides of the frame for removeably supporting a nursing bottle in a downwardly inclined position for access by an animal in the stall area together with a longitudinally extending removeable bar supported on the ends of the rods on each side of the frame for retaining the nursing animal in its respective stall area.

This is possible by providing a comb having hollow teeth and an oil reservoir or chamber as well as means for controlling the volume of hair dressing oil that is to be deposited.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a bread box for dispensing bread by the slice, which includes a refrigeration unit within the container, and in one embodiment a remote control mechanism for dispensing one slice of bread at a time upon command. In another embodiment a manual mechanism is provided for retaining the slice of bread adjacent to that one which is to be dispensed and then a sequential operation follows in which this retained piece of bread is released in order to be ready for dispensing. The structure includes pins, retractably set within the second piece of bread which are removeable and disengageable upon recycling the opening and closing of the door operation. The bread is urged to the door by means of spring in the preferred embodiment.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and chart for organizing, developing and depicting a multipigment scale of colors based on at least five basic colors and any chosen number of subdivisions therebetween. The method and chart are based on the development of a two dimensional array of a plurality of planar triangular groupings of distinct color points wherein the apices of each triangular grouping represents the color extremes of said groupings and the remaining color points within said grouping are arranged in equidistant transitional color intervals between said apices and between the apices of any subtriangles definable within the groupings, the groupings representing planar cuts of an m-1 dimensional pyramid the apices of which pyramid represent the basic colors chosen.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a mixing device suitably fashioned for assuring a substantially uniform mix of seeds and planting medium such as peatmoss. The apparatus is defined by a framework which supports a drum capable of rotation not only about it's elongate axis, but also rotation about an axis orthogonal thereto. A door is provided for ingress of material, a spout for egress therefrom, and mixing blades are disposed within the drum's interior to assure the proper mix.

Abstract: A valve block for hydraulic excavators having at least two sets of valves which are each coupled to their pump. The valves are of the type which, in the unactuated state, allows the passage of pressure medium. The hydraulic devices for executing working movements of the excavator are each coupled to their valve in each set. The valves in the one set are coupled in series, counted from the pump in the sequence the valve which is coupled to the hydraulic device for the first working movement of the excavator, the valve which is coupled to the hydraulic device for the second working movement of the excavator, and the valve which is coupled to the hydraulic device for the third working movement of the excavator.

Abstract: An electronic teaching aid including a circuit board having a plurality of numbered rows for possible questions and a plurality of circles to indicate a plurality of possible answers for the question in each row. A probe is inserted in the circle selected as the answer, and in doing so perforates a covering sheet. If the answer is correct or incorrect the probe completes an electrical circuit, thereby producing an output to light a light, ring a bell, activate a counter, or whatever desired.
