Abstract: A payment card processing system and method is provided that allows an account holder to upgrade a private label card to a dual card. The dual card may be used for both private label transactions and bankcard transactions. Methods for upgrading to the dual card account include selecting a private label account having associated monetary and non-monetary data and maintained on a first processing platform for upgrade to a dual card account, creating the dual card account on a second processing platform, transferring the non-monetary data associated with the private label account from the first processing platform to the second processing platform for association with the dual card account, and initiating a trailing activity process to identify monetary and non-monetary activity associated with the private label account and update a cross reference table to associate the trailing activity with the dual card account.

Abstract: A system, method, apparatus, means, and computer program code for facilitating or allowing a user's affinity for a property to be evaluated, recognized, rewarded and/or monetized. A user may access a Web site, computer system, kiosk, or other resource operated by, for or on behalf of a property. For example, a server may implement a Web site on behalf of one or more properties. The user may then provide or authorize a payment that allows the user to receive or take a test directed to examining the user's knowledge of a property and/or to receive information regarding one or more actions that the user may complete to demonstrate the user's affinity for the property. A user demonstrating affinity for the property may receive recognition or other benefit associated with the property.

Abstract: Methods and systems for computing algebraic equations are disclosed, with particular relevance to financial analytics. Analytic formulas may be represented as data, and the analytic system may be structured as a kind of an analytic interpretation engine in a database layer of a system. Because analytic formulas may be represented as data in some table or tables, analytics can be added, deleted or modified without having to make changes to the analytic engine's source code. The analytic engine may be implemented in some relational language, such as a dialect of SQL, to manipulate and compute the analytic formulas stored in the database.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for low latency transport of signals. In some embodiments a method may include providing a buffer controller between two consecutive signal transmission processes between a host and a client to synchronize a write from a first of the two consecutive signal transmission processes and a read to a second of the of the two consecutive signal transmission processes, wherein the buffer controller includes a first buffer, a second buffer, and a first status list and a second status list that each provide an association status of the first buffer and the second buffer.

Abstract: An identification token includes a body and an RFID IC embedded in the body. The RFID IC includes a first terminal and a second terminal. An antenna is also embedded in the body and is coupled between the terminals of the RFID IC to form two connections between the RFID IC and the antenna. A user-actuatable switch is supported by the body and has two different states. The switch is coupled to at least one of the terminals of the RFID IC. The connections between the RFID IC and the antenna are uninterrupted when the switch is in either state. The switch is not coupled to the RFID IC by any terminal other than the two terminals by which the antenna is coupled to the RFID IC.

Abstract: A method, apparatus, and system related to thermal management. The method includes generating a beam including a group of rays; evaluating the beam against a spatially ordered geometrical database until the beam can no longer be evaluated as a whole in order to discard a portion of the spatially ordered geometrical database from further consideration; noting the location where the beam can no longer be evaluated as a whole; and traversing, starting at the noted location, the spatially ordered geometrical database for each of the rays by executing a query against the spatially ordered geometrical database not discarded by the evaluating.

Abstract: A method and system for controlling the behavior of a plant having an input and an output by enhanced feedback. A simulation input signal is derived from an input to be applied to the plant and a simulated signal is generated by simulating an aspect of an assumed behavior of the plant in dependence on the simulation input signal. The simulated signal is subtracted from a plant feedback signal which is derived from an output of the plant and the resulting difference signal is used to modify the input signal by feedback prior to deriving a plant input signal. The simulation may take into account derivation of the plant feedback signal and the input signal is typically modified so as to reduce the effect on the output signal of a deviation in actual behavior of the plant from the assumed behavior of the plant over a predetermined operating frequency range.

The switch is actuatable by being pressed by a user's finger. The identification token also includes a printed indication on the body for indicating the switch location to the user of the identification token.

The proxy analyzes the unstructured data of a text page, understands the meaning behind the data, associates data with some of the unstructured data and stores this meta-data back into the original text page. The invention stores data in a location that is hidden from the user's view so that it is unobtrusive but easily retrievable.

Abstract: An identification token is provided which includes a radio frequency identification (RFID) integrated circuit (IC), an antenna and a switch. The switch is normally in a first state and is actuatable by a user's finger to a second state different from the first state. The identification token includes a conductive connection connected to at least one of the RFID IC and the antenna. The identification token is enabled to send and receive signals so long as the conductive connection is unbroken. The identification token is subjected to a personalization process and the conductive connection is broken after or during the personalization process. After the conductive connection is broken, the switch operates to switch the identification token between operative and in operative states. Before the conductive connection is broken, the switch is actuatable but actuating the switch does not change the state of the identification token.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a configurable multiphase coupled magnetic structure may include a four-sided pot core defining an interior space, one or more cylindrical cores disposed within the interior space of the four-sided pot core, and at least two windings respectively wound around the one or more cylindrical cores, wherein the at least two windings are connected in a multiphase power delivery configuration. The windings may be multi-turn windings. The four-sided pot core may be a rectangular-shaped pot core. The cylindrical cores may be I-cores. Other embodiments are disclosed and claimed.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided to facilitate an analysis of a commercial mortgage backed security portfolio. According to one embodiment, base information associated with the portfolio is determined. Information associated with an additional mortgage loan to be added to the portfolio is then determined, and a loan spread is calculated for the additional mortgage loan in accordance with a contribution of the additional mortgage loan to the portfolio. For example, a real time pricing server may calculate the loan spread based on a desired profitability associated with the additional mortgage loan.

Abstract: According to some embodiments, a Gigabit Ethernet link is maintained with a link partner using less than four channels. Embodiments may also establish the Gigabit Ethernet link using four channels, determine that the link is idle, and terminate communication with the link partner over at least one of the four channels.
